HUGE Cowboys Rumors After Loss vs. Bears On CeeDee Lamb Injury News, Trevon Diggs & Jadeveon Clowney
[Music] Let’s get into the Cowboys injury news. Not great on CD Lamb. He reportedly suffered a high ankle sprain and Todd Archer and then like everybody else out there in Cowboys media reports could miss three to four weeks. They’re going to sit him for two weeks, re-evaluate, not going to put him on injured reserve. A high ankle sprain in most cases is four to six weeks to recover. Cowboys seem to think it is not as bad of a high ankle sprain, which is good. Uh Jerry Jones said it wasn’t as serious as it could have been. Then Stephven Jones said, “Yeah, we know Lamb said he thinks he can play through it in week four, but that’s not really what the team doctors think.” And Lamb also said that after the game and wasn’t in a boot and then was in a boot today at the facility. And I would wager that the next day didn’t feel as good. Uh that’s how it normally goes. So very much trending towards no lamb against the Packers and probably not against the Jets either. Now if you want CD Lamb to get healthy as soon as possible, like the video. Let’s send some good vibes in the direction of Lamb. Like the video, please and thank you on today’s show. Coming up, let’s discuss some Cowboys versus Bears overreaction stuff that I’ve seen out there on social media, etc. There’s there’s a lot to discuss here. Uh, first up, should the Cowboys bench Tyler Gayton or Terrence Steel? Is that the best path for them at offensive tackle? I’ve seen this out there a couple different outlets saying it. I think it’s an overreaction and not because I think Gener Steel have been so good. They’ve been incredible. I actually don’t think that’s the case. I think especially Gayton, they’ve been average at best and Gayton has probably been a little bit below average. I actually thought for Gayton specifically, his issue is when he gets beat, it’s really obvious he got beat. Like we all see it. He’s out there just completely whiffing on a block, like just lowering his He’s lunging, getting himself out of position. That’s an issue. Uh, I thought the the Saints pressure packages kind of had the Cowboys offensive line in a bit of a bit of a rough spot. I don’t think Terrence Steel had a very good game. Felt I felt like Gayton third game was best of his three. Steel might have been the worst of the three so far. Not that they were particular. I thought Booker played pretty well at least. Brock Hoffman didn’t have a great game at center either, by the way, which should be a pretty big red flag. But the reason why I say I’m not going to bench Steeler Genius, who the hell am I going to play? Like I don’t I don’t really think Nathan Thomas is much of a solution, guys. Like if if the answer is play the four the seventh round pick who wasn’t on any projected rosters early, I just I don’t who hasn’t played right tackle. Like I don’t think that’s a very good solution. I think the likely outcome here is the Cowboys will ride it out with Gayton and Steel for as long as possible. And if it doesn’t work, you have major changes next offseason. You can cut steel, save a bunch of money, go try to find a new right tackle. You can move Gayton around. You could bench him. You can try to give him the needed development time. He needs reps. He needs development time. There’s been some really good reps from Gayton. It’s just that the negative ones are so obvious. It’s really, really bad. I don’t think Nathan Thomas is actually an upgrade, though. And I think that speaks to the problems on your offensive line in general. So, pick a left tackle for me. TG for Tyler Gayton, NT for Nathan Thomas. It is the pin comment on today’s show. So, go take advantage. Let me know at the pin comment. TG or NT overreaction number two. Cowboys should play Jade Devon Clowney. Duh. Obviously, this is your free square for like every change you want to make. It’s it’s time to play Devian Clowny. This Cowboys pass rush is not doing it. They’re not getting home. They’re not impacting anything. You have to try Clowny. And I think Clowney at least raises the floor a little bit where he’s never going to be an elite sack getter. He’s not going to be a doubledigit sack guy for you, but he’s at least going to get some quality pressures. And since week one, the Cowboys aren’t getting quality pressures, especially at your edge rusher group. How many times have we noticed any of Dante Fowler, Marshon Neland, Donovan Ezaraku, Sam Williams, James Houston, too. He drew the penalty. He was Houston was good too. He was hard to play. going to be a scratch if if Clowny plays an event, which whatever. Like, they need to to get Clowny out there. It’s It’s a no-brainer. Like, it’s he he I thought, look, if he wasn’t ready, he wasn’t ready, but you probably should have at least tried playing him this past week. You You got to try other guys. Ezrau makes one good rush a game. He’s not there yet. Nean’s been a good run defender. I’ve been pretty welcome by Dante Fowler and Sam Williams. It’s time to give Clowny a chance. I I I I want to validate anyone who is upset with the play in general of your entire secondary right now. It’s valid. I get it. I understand where you are coming from. Trust me. With that said, it’s not happening. Um, it’s just it’s not a realistic reaction. It doesn’t, honestly, it doesn’t make sense for the Cowboys. And I don’t know who’s gonna be out there. I think the Cowboys need digs. They need good digs and not, you know, going for a press and falling down and getting burnt for a touchdown digs, but they they need him to be a contributable player. They’re paying him. And it’s not like they have options right now. This Cowboys secondary just isn’t good. I don’t know when Savone Rebel is going to be out there, but Dixs has not played well this year. Now, he’s only been targeted seven times, which feels crazy, but it’s this is all per PFF, by the way. And couple of these are the zone coverage stuff. I think they ding dinged him for one I think was actually Wilson’s fault, but it you know, team effort, team gets playing. Hasn’t broken past yet. Actually did make a good tackle, got hurt, came back in the game. The biggest issue here is the contract. He’s owed $12 million this year on the cow. Cowboys uh would save nothing by cutting him and then would eat a bunch of dead money next year still too. The trade savings would be $9.15 million. That’s what the new team would owe. Who is paying Trayvon Diggs $9 million right now? You cut Digs, you’re b you’re only saving the per game roster bonus stuff that that is owed to him. That’s it. Which he’s going to get if he’s healthy and that’s less than a million dollars right now. Like it’s just like and you’re going to pay a new guy more than that figure on the vet salary. So it does cost you money in the end. I think Kyrie Lim has been a pretty big disappointment so far doesn’t look comfortable. Secondary is massive issues across the board. But Kalin Carson’s out for a few more weeks at minimum. He was bad last year after the first game. I don’t know when Savone Rebel is going to return. Can try Josh B, but he’s going to miss four games at least still. I Triquest Bridges. I I guess you can call Zion Shoulders. Cool. Those are nickel options. Like still don’t have an outside corner even when when Bland is back. I think the reality here is that this is the end of the Trayvon Dicks tenure in Dallas. After this year, they’re going to move on. They made it clear they rehab. Then he came back and was out there for week one. I don’t know if he trusts the knee yet fully. Got to keep going, bud. So, will Trayvon Diggs play for the Cowboys in 2026? Let me know in the comments section of today’s show. Why for yes, N for no? Will the Cowboy or will Diggs play for the Cowboys in 2026? Overreaction number four, you gotta fire Matt Eberloose. I get it. Um, look, I I think this I again, you are validated. I understand where you’re coming from. It’s an overreaction, but only for now. The We’ll go more in depth on this of the big crux is I don’t know who the hell calls your plays. like I I I don’t know who ends up being your your guy at DC if it’s not Matt Eberloose. So for now it’s an over reaction simply because I just I don’t have anybody else that can sub in and be the play caller. There’s no one with experience. The guys we’re mad about that are higher ranking are the crux of your issues in the secondary. Like I get if you want to fire him I hear you. I I agree. But I don’t know what the solution is. Now, for more Cowboys news, rumors, and more on Matt Eberflu, so I have a full video on this with the what the replacements look like and just talk about the defense in general, hit that sub button so you don’t miss out. youtube.com/cowboysv. Fifth and final overreaction from week three, the offense gets blamed, too. And yeah, they they do. They weren’t good enough either to However, I think the offensive issues are a little bit like complaining that the food was overcooked on the Titanic. Like, yeah, they didn’t do a good job of making the food. Shame on them. We’re going down, man. Like, I got bigger issues right now. Um I I think I think most of us very much blame the defense first. It’s really hard to like have success on offense when the defense isn’t getting stops and they’re getting gashed and they’re allowing a 10-minute drive in the third quarter. Like, what am I really supposed to do? The reality is it’s not fair. The offense has to have its agame. They did against the Giants to win games. And they still barely won that game. They did not have their agame in week three. from the fumble by Javvante Williams to George Pickkins causing the interception to Dennis Allen in his bag. Like they didn’t have it. And that’s not fair necessarily. Like I don’t want to, you know, get mad because, you know, you got a B in English, but you still flunked the semester because you never went to your algebra classes. It’s not really English’s fault. Or even you get a C in English, whatever. You you go to go to class. do do the other thing more importantly. But that is the reality. If this team wants to win games, the offense pretty much has to be perfect. I am genuinely mad at the defense. They’re not good. I am a little disappointed with the offense. Like I expect more out of them. I I think it was kind of a snowballing effect in that game. Lamb gets hurt and then can’t do the same stuff on offense. Dennis Allen gets credit. He smelled blood in the water and he’s like, “Let’s just let’s do exotic blitz packages.” And the Cowboys solution was checkowns and hope players made guys miss and it never happened. They actually ran the ball well again, but they haven’t been able to. When you’re down big, being able to run the ball kind of goes out the window a little bit there and the defense was so bad. Just it was a cascading snowball effect that was caused by your defense. But yeah, the offense wasn’t wasn’t very good. Made it to the end of today’s video. Type me in the comments section. Booker out 4-6 weeks now
diggs has never been a good cover corner. his value was always in getting turnovers and he's not getting those anymore.
ME
Tyler Booker out 4-6 weeks
nt
Booker now gone 4-6 weeks with the same injury as Lamb.
Me
Im actually not too mad about the Schotty move rn, tho we should have never let DQ walk and should have been HC. This defense is porous
Me
Why is our DB room cursed. the injuries are insane
Booker hurt too, boy we can’t catch a break
Me
TG
I commented this several years ago, but you guys should put the player’s number next to their names when you’re listing the depth chart. The visual association helps a lot, especially now that the NFL rule on position number restrictions is loosened.
With all of the injuries from this game, I don’t see a win in the next several weeks.
Traeshon Holden time 😂?
Guyton is a 1st round back up. Steele is past his prime and Dallas will have.to draft off tackles in the draft. Dallas has so many needs. Pass rushers, d tackles, off tackles, corner, safety, linebacker, wide receiver and running back. Mazi Smith = 1st round bust. Guyton = 1st round bust. 2nd round pick kneeland= not good. 2nd round pick = Luke schoonmaker = not good. Drafting has not been good. You have to hope diggs plays better and after the season try to trade him.
These are the days of players getting their money and never play at the same level again.
Overreaction??? lol 😂

Dak gets paid to loose on purpose

Cowboys defense sucks big time fire the coordinator 😝😝😝😝😝👎👎👎👎👎
Just Disappointed man the wife and I was so excited this yr.. finally made it to Oxnard, tuning into podcast 24/7, shotout to #hanginwiththeboys, #skywalker&2I #girlstalkboystalk, #dakAttack #CFT #DOINALRIGHT #thebreak etc, went to BWW this Sunday pass, should’ve stayed home with some comfort food and now bookers out for 4 wks 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏾♂️
Why are we talking about the offensive line? They didn't turn the ball over 4 times yesterday, and they've been running the hell out of the ball.
Thinking Nate Thomas is an upgrade is just dumb.
Me
Liking the video will help Cee Dee Lamb get healthy? Wtf lmao
Put Diggs at free safety lol

Can’t believe we are only 3 games in and the season is already cooked
1-4 incoming
ME
Fire Eberflus yesterday
At this point I’ll be the defensive coordinator…
I think Steward played well. The Safeties are a dumpster fire along with playing so much zone. We have man players and Eb is having them play off the line.
Yesterday, the absence and difference of Micah Parsons was felt in the loss to CHICAGO!
Lamb needs to stay out 4 weeks.
