New York Yankees Highlights: vs Chicago White Sox | 9/23/25

[Music] [Applause] [Music] He was cool that you told me that strike three. Montgomery down looking at the change. Locked him up. Swing and a miss on the slider out of the zone. No runs, no hits, no errors, one man left. It’s the White Sox nothing and the Yankees coming to bat. [Music] So, first and third, one out. Bamble. Bamble. That is a base hit and it comes off the sidewall scoring easily. Here’s Chisum. Vulpi rounding third. They’ll hold him there. It is a double and an RBI for Wells. A spinning breaking ball and he got around it and just whipped it down the line. That was a beautiful stand. Lucky he didn’t get caught cuz Anthony Bulpie was off the base where he had no chance of getting back. And then you know sometimes if you’re leading off first base a line drive your shot. But right there Wells charging and barehanding and firing and another backhand scoop. There it is by Rice. Two-way bare hand. It’s not really dribbling to be able to grab that thing and see him change the grip. You got to grab it with your palm. And a lot of third baseman’s don’t have the the ability to change this to a regular grip, which he does. Still kind of short hops, but another good pick by Rice. High drive right field. It is a 2-1 White Sox lead. A long two-run home run by Montgomery. Yeah, there’s a change up and you see it kind of floats inside and that’s where lefties just love it. Down and in. Long and gone. And the payoff all the way to the back stop. Here comes Vi. He scores and the Yankees have tied the game at two. A walk to Bellinger. Judge moves to second. It’s a two-2 game. Pitcher throw one of the screen by Bellinger. [Applause] And there goes Vulpi with the tying run. And that wild pitch knocks out Iser. Venal will go to the bullpen to bring in a righty to face Cabayro. As Paul said, this is not the way you draw it up in your dreams, but you’ll take the run whichever way you can. 22. The Yankees have an opportunity to win it. When we get back, Pavo at the plate and the pitch looped into center field coming on Taylor. He’s not going to make the play. Here comes Judge. He’ll score and the Yankees are going to the postseason. Kabayo drives in Judge. The Yankees with two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning and they’ve clinched a postseason birth for the 60th time in their history. He’s helping the Yankees get to the postseason. Yeah, off the end of the bat. Very surprised. I mean, he thought he knew it right off the bat. I thought Taylor had a shot if he possibly would dive cuz he’s not going to throw Aaron Judge out with two strikes on contact. But that’s when the celebration starts. That was a good at bat, Paul. He battled a lot of tough pitch. Unbelievable. I saw fast pass by saw sliders. You see, he just kind of hesitated there instead of going for it. No chance to get Aaron Judge. You’re better off just all out forward diving and giving yourself a chance cuz on the crack of the bat, Aaron Judge with two outs is off to the races. [Applause] Check out the joyous reaction of the Yankees as they wave Judge home and they go and celebrate with Cabayro. Another postseason birth for the New York Yankees. They played great baseball since the middle of August after that rough stretch. And now a celebration is on. Yeah, that was a tremendous at bat by Cabierro. Fouled off sliders, fouled off fast balls, ended up putting the ball in play. Somehow someway they scored and the Red Sox just beat the Blue Jays four to one. So the Yankees are within one in the American League East. [Music] [Applause] Yeah. Yeah. [Music]
