  1. Phillies lost and Padres get closer to potentially having home field vs the Cubs, but that’s about it in terms of positives. I know you were down big, but the offense didn’t even come close to chipping away. They have looked bad all roadtrip, and have struggled to hit on the road since the Rangers series. 1-7 in our 8 last road games and 16 runs scored in 75 innings.

  2. Phillies have marlins 2x and twins 3x.

Need them to lose 2 out of 5 as I see a losing streak “brewing” here

  3. That was absolutely fucking pathetic even for a punt game. There is no excuse for this team’s completely inability to hit lately.

Chourio, Hoskins, and Jansen all suck. Hell even Sal is off right now.

Sure the game didn’t matter, but come on man, you just can not do that shit in the playoffs. We’re gonna get our asses handed to us unless something changes now.

I’m actually leaning towards hoping for the 2 seed at this point just so we don’t have to see the fucking Padres again.

My reaction to the month of September leading into these last two series as our corpse gets carted into the playoffs.

  5. Hopefully we wake up for the playoffs but it’s not like we are the only team coasting to the playoffs. Cubs have lost 5 in a row, Phillies 3 in a row, and most of the top teams are 5-5 or 6-4 in the last 10.

  6. Don’t forget that skipping to the DS means we basically have an All-star break between end of season and playoff baseball. That kind of layoff means the heat, or lack there of, of our bats is not as significant. You find your own fire in the playoffs, or you don’t. You rise to the occasion as a team, or you don’t. The bigger question is who is our #3 starter now. I know this sounds absolutely crazy, but at some point you have to start thinking the Miz. It’s either that or some arm coming of the injured list.

  7. I like that the bye means we can get out of sync from our current state of totally incapable of scoring runs

  8. All I care about is being the number one seed. Cause I know we will then break the brewers all time wins for a season. After that the playoffs are a blessing. If we catch fire once again look out bitches

  9. If throttling back now means overwhelming dominance during the postseason, who am I to complain?

  10. I may be the forever optimist, so sue me. But I am wanting to believe that all the Brewers want to do is to remain healthy going into the playoffs. Don’t overswing, don’t run out a throw to 1st, don’t dive for any fly balls in the outfield. And if that is the case, I’m OK with it.

HOWEVER. The Brewers are not a team who can just flip a switch and be good again. I hope I’m wrong though. And we’ve seen this pattern in past playoff series’.
