NHL Preseason Highlights | Bruins vs. Rangers – September 23, 2025

Parsonsin in the middle. and Perau. Gabberov and Fox on defense. We are underway. This is Gabricov where number 44. Shuster had the puck taken off his stick. Bruins work it back out to Yoki Haru. Now Middlestat towards the net. Score. Middlestat setting up Blue Mel. The Bruins take a one- nothing lead. Yeah, Blue Mel’s a free agent signing the last couple seasons with a really good player in with Dallas’s farm team in the AHL. This is a guy who’s got a nose from the net. We talked about middle stat. Bruins do a nice job through the outside, right? And the Rangers get a little collapsed and there’s a little too much open ice for the most creative puck mover on the Bruins and he finds Blue Mel. So again, good play by Blue Mel. The Rangers get them. Kenny Albert, Dave Voloney, John Gianown for Madison Square Garden. Scott Marorrow towards the net and then Corposalo able to get a piece of it. Good play off the side the range lava. There’s Bard Fitch Pleski score and finds Fix Winski and Winsky off the left pad of Corposal follows the original shot. This guy’s a goal scorer, right? Again, he’s in the Columbus system. Meanwhile, the Rangers are creation, but a nice low to high cycle back into the middle of the ice. Moves it out to the point. Dorington shot was blocked. Fonovichi getting in front of that attempt. Here’s Dorington again. Save. And then another save on Kavalos. He comes together with Sidorov. Now Parson back out. And that shot by Kohley was blocked. Here’s Parson. Saved by Corposalo on Gabe Perau. Rangers fans, Red Hot Hockey returns to the Garden Saturday, November 29th for the 10th time. Long time rivals Boston University and Cornell face off right here at Madison Square Garden. Everything he’s done so far continued look. Second period underway. Yoki Haru fires the puck in for the Bruins Providence College. She was a teammate of Brett Bard. Here’s Kulie. Score. Gabe Perau [Applause] for the second consecutive game. Perau gives the Rangers a two to one lead. Funny how the puck follows offensive players, right? Good play. Good step up by Gabricov. Get control of the blue line. Stays with it and then the release beats Corposal. Corposal a good potential. But again, watch the play at the blue line here. Head up. Head up. Space underneath the left arm. And backto back games with a goal. Out the pass deflected in by Bard. Throw aside by Corposalo. By the way, Dave Corposalo. Oh, a giveaway and an opportunity for Carrick. He scores. Sam Carrick makes it three to one Rangers. Well, entering his second year with the Rangers and I think you could make the case last year on a dollar basis and it’s like he’s a 50 goal scorer in the league now. Again, guilty of turning over the puck in the in the defensive zone, but nice calm solid move backhand forehand. Misplayed the puck castle and you think the guy would score 35 or 40 a year. Not one penalty. Not one penalty in the first preseason telecast. There you go. I guess that summer of trying to work on that aspect of the broadcast that that didn’t work. Here comes Lava with the Rangers short-handed. Slides it across. Score. Gabberov short-handed. 4-1 Rangers. Gets the offensive blue line. That allows Gabberov just a little more room. Strong play in the boards. gets a sense that Gabberov is coming. Holds it. Holds it bang alongside Gabberov. So, a couple really nifty plays on a short-handed goal. And before he was hired in Pittsburgh was a member of the Blackhawks player development staff in 2015. Here’s Parson dropping it back off. Battle for the puck in the slot. Corposalo looking for it. Still loose. And finally the whistle to defend the puck on top of Corsello. Now Coelo’s had trouble with that first shot right then and that’s where it all starts and there’s a whack there. Now you give us a pretty good job of kind of in that slip position keeping the puck out stick away from Corposello and it’s like oh my goodness. And two assists here tonight for Noah Lava. Yoki Haru had the puck taken away. Lava with it. Moves in front and a stop by the left pad of Corposalo. Statistic and he you know again he he really has credited his father with imparting the instincts. beautiful pass and then Perau stopped by Corposalo. Perau with it again looking to return the favor setting up He said I think that’s why we’re generating so much offense tonight. We’re not being reckless. We’re being responsible and when you do that you’re going to have success. I asked him about the talked about number one and the Rangers now regroup. Yeah. Tries to go alongside misses that becomes a clearing ruin clearing attempt. Now Fox bottled up short-handed opportunity and Asiman scores. What happens here is, you know, it’s amazing what happens when your feet stop. Everything else stops. Adam Fox has the puck here and gets in open ice pay, right? stops here, right? His feet basically stop. He gets stripped from the puck. Davikov goes to reach for it. Boy, that is a nifty finish by a guy who comes build as a pain in the backside to play against. Actually, that was Perau. I’m sorry. Was not Gav. Power play continues for another minute 15. Barard moves the puck into the corner. Now, Barard with it again down low. Nice move. And the save was made by Corpusal. Bruins working around. Here’s Harris. Dorington comes away with the loose puck. Can’t clear. Bruins keep it alive. ACimont in front. He scores. His second of the period. The Bruins. PTO. Then a goal. Well, what happens here? We’ve talked about the youngster Jackson Dorington, right? He makes a nice pivot. Go scor his goal. But watch again. And that’s a blind play, right? He’s better off holding on to the puck than hit and hope. Well, his hit and hope attempt ends up in the back of his net. And Eimon want I’m sorry, that’s another goal scorers. Solder with the puck. Now Middletown for Boston. 110 remaining. Rangers lead 4-3. Middle staff down low. They score. Himat with the pass across the finish by Hustadino. The Bruins with three goals here in the third period have tied the game at four. Advantage and Mororrow goes down. He gets in that defensive position and gets back. This thing kind of quickens its way through the Ranger defender and we’ll play close in. So we take one more look here. Eimont going to get his helper on the night. He’s hit two goals. Out to the point Fox. This pass knocked out of the air by Steves. Minton with a shot of the glove save by Boyco on Soderstrom. Third period comes to an end. There’s Hustadino who tied this game at four. Overtime coming up. Parson will take the face off for the Rangers. Goenders have switched ends. Gabricov and Shuster out to Soderstrom. A minute 15 remaining on the power play for Boston. Saved by Boyco. Middlestep tried to slide it across for Potra. Sodestrom with it. And a save by Boy and Boyco to the rescue. But boy, that’s how I tell you. Bloom got a goal on the night. He doesn’t hesitate to shoot. The puck kind of fortuitously bounces to end up a second opportunity. Here’s the door. The door in with a shot off the post. Loose Melis with it. Penalty has expired. Here’s Tadino with it. Kept it away from Robertson. Now the long out pass. Here comes the defenseman Zidorov. Good job by Robertson hustling back and then Zadorov scores. The Keen is Zadorov the overtime winner and a quick exit. Bruins score the last four and defeat the Rangers five to four in overtime. It’s just a loud, you know, he’s got that big body. He does a nice job here of foring off Robertson, right? And he just flicks it off and turns and fires. So really good job by Houston Neimoff to lay it into Sidorov originally and up [Music]

A three-goal third period saw the Boston Bruins erase a 4-1 deficit, and Nikita Zadorov capped off the comeback with an overtime goal to secure a 5-4 victory over the New York Rangers. Michael Eyssimont recorded two goals and an assist in the win.
