  1. You can tell Mac was still thinking about that pick when Eddy P was going for the go ahead FG. Feel so happy for him to be successful so far with the team.

  2. After the game, Mac Jones called Purdy one of his best friends, and he's just holding it down till Brock comes back and starts winning us games.

What struck me was that that's rare QB dynamics when a backup comes in and starts playing well. In this league, you're always thinking about your next contract or where you can get your next opportunity. The fact that Mac and Brock are such good friends and whole-heartedly supporting each other (with context that Mac used to be a starter and came here to be a backup) is pretty rare

At most they'll be polite and cordial with each other. But they both know they're gunning for the same job (see Jimmy G and Trey Lance). Not so here. Mac and Brock seem to really root for each other.

  3. This team feels different to me, different from the world beaters of 22, 23, a bit different from the underdogs from 2019 that came out of nowhere, and obviously very different from 2024. Bunch of scrappy young players mixed with sensible super star talent, it feels like the perfect blend of drive, grit and execution. I know these are all buzz words, but god damn does this year feel different. They def won't go 17-0 and the Bosa Injury is a heartbreaker, but this is a team that once they get back Kittle, D-Rob, and 80% Aiyuk, and they are more than likely going to go get a DE at the deadline, this team is scary folks, and most importantly, they seem together like a real team. Full faith in Shanny, full faith in Lynch, let's go niners. Bang bang.

  4. If this team could only stay healthy but I loving how Ricky is playing and if we can get BA, Kittle & Jennings back with Purdy then this offense should be hard to stop. I hope we sit out Brock at least one more week because we play the Rams on a short week then Tampa we need to not rush him back and even though I think we can beat the Jags, I rather go 3-1 then rush Purdy back.
