Major League Baseball on the board. We’ve got WNBA playoff action. We got week five college football, week four NFL. So, make sure that you jump on board. Between the San Francisco Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals for the St. Louis Cardinals, it’s Sunny Gray listed as a starter here while the San Francisco Giants will counter with Robbie Ray. Robbie Ray got roughed up by the Dodgers in back-to-back starts. Didn’t make it out into the fifth inning or excuse me, out of the fifth inning in each of his two starts there. Gave up five runs in both those starts. He gave up three home runs last time out against the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. and he has struggled in some of his recent starts, but he’s also struggled in a couple of his home outings as of late as well uh back on September 9th. Gave up two runs on three hits over five in his work against Arizona. That ended up being a win. But the start before that, six runs allowed on six hits, three walks over four and a third innings of work against the Baltimore Orioles. Now, you face a St. Lewis lineup that in the last two weeks against left-handed pitching, you know, has hasn’t been a uh a team that’s been, you know, too uh too much to write home about. I mean, they’re b below league average in team OPS. They’re hitting 245, which is solid. You know, strikeout rate below 24%, which isn’t terrible. And for a strikeout dependent starter like Robbie Ray, that, you know, could play to his advantage here. But I just right now don’t trust the San Francisco Giants. They just look like they’re a team that’s running out of gas. Granted, the St. Louis Cardinals have looked like that for an extended period of time themselves. Um, but San Francisco, you know, right now in the in the last two weeks against right-handed pitching is hitting just 178. Their team OPS numbers are third worst in baseball. The isolated power numbers decent, but for me, I just I can’t get there with San Francisco Giants laying this price. Robbie Ray has been getting hit fairly hard in some of his recent outings across his last seven starts, a 6.55 ERA. And I just think that the St. the the St. Louis Cardinals kind of where I want to be here. just riding with the team that’s getting plus money in this matchup. And uh Gray looked pretty solid against these uh Giants, getting a win against him back on September 7th. So, I’m going to roll with St. Louis Cardinals in this one, getting the plus money price here, and that’s going to be my free pick.
