Someone had linked a post from the Bucs sub on here yesterday and I was shocked to see so many of them talk sh*t about Brees, the team, and the city. They also boasted about beating Brees in his last game before retirement. Seems like it’s their 28-3. I never pay the Bucs any mind because we already have a rival and it ain’t them. Kinda sad really.

They are likely my second favorite team twice a year
They got lucky that the most successful QB of all time chose them for his fuck you farewell ring, and think that validates their franchise. And throw a hissy fit when no one cares about them

I despise the Bucs cause they’re the reason for our franchises current state. I truly believe had they not horse collor tackled Jameis, he would’ve finished that season as CPOY and Sean Payton would’ve stayed in New Orleans since he would’ve had a QB after Brees.
I know this may be unpopular here, but they are my least favorite team. Even over the Falcons. Barely

I lived is SW Florida for about a decade, including their 1st SB win. I was actually fond of the Buck’s fan base at the time. Even though they’d had won their first SB during that time, they were pretty chill. Had a real public golf and tiki bar vibe to ‘em.
Seems more like FloridaMan and Methany, these days.
They had a decent rival for a while there when Entergy had an outage and they’d have to reset the numbers on all of the jerseys.
I heard every other team is pretty apathetic towards the Panthers. They could probably say the Panthers are their rival
Honestly I kind of pity bucs fans. Not because of anything their team has done/is, but because of their ownership, as I pity anyone who has the Glazers in their hierarchy. (Sorry, this is my r/reddevils leaking)

Saints fan in FL here.
I have been to many saints/bucs games at RJ.
Tampa is a fair-weather fanbase, every saints/bucs game I’ve ever been to at RJ is easily overrun by saints fans.
Like most of Florida, the majority of people here are from somewhere else. There are alot of people in this state that are only here bc they couldn’t hack it where they originally came from….
So they follow their retired parents/family members down to “start over”
Once Brady signed there, all the NE transplant losers in FL started foaming at the mouth and the Bucs subreddit memberships skyrocketed.
NE’ers can’t survive without being on some kind of social bandwagon.
Every year in the offseason, I used to get a solicitation call from their ticketing department asking if I was interested in purchasing any tickets for the upcoming season. After a few years, I had to ask them why they keep calling me, a saints fan, to sell tickets. I had them remove me from their call list.
Their stadium is ok, nice views no matter where you sit, but other than that… it’s a no frills stadium. The Toyota Corolla of NFL stadiums.
Bucs are the Meg Griffin of the NFCS. Hope they find a rival soon.
Their rival is green bay but somehow they forget saints , falcunts, pansies was in the nfc west and saints own them they need 6yrs of sweeping us to break even and I highly doubt that will happen because they will not sweep us again

Back in the day I cheered for local players Warrick Dunn and Shaun King when they were Buc so I guess that’s why I’ve never really hated the Bucs.
I unfortunately have to interact with a few in real life and they’re insufferable. Everything comes back to how the Saints are terrible and the Brees sucked. Atlanta fans I know don’t even act like them and Carolina fans are fairly pleasant. I think it’s because they were irrelevant for so long and lack a rival.
You would think the Panthers would automatically be their immediate rival. They’re a straight shot up I-95. They don’t have any other inter-division rivalry that would top it. And it feels way more natural than trying to force a rivalry with us or the Falcons.
Like I may not like the Bucs or the Panthers, but beating the Falcons is on a whole other level.
