New Orleans Saints vs Buffalo Bills | Week 4 Game Preview

Some might call this one a future game for Buffalo. Others may be an Admiral Akbar situation. The 0 and3 New Orleans Saints are in town on the road for week four trying to spring a trap on the 3-0 Bills inside the 10. Shakira all the way in. Touchdown Buffalo. Nola next in line to see if they can stop the mafia train. Going to need to pull some Tony Montana. Omar Little action to pull off overthrowing these Buffalo bosses. Saints defense next up to try and slow down an offense that’s been good for 30 plus points each time out slapped 31 on the Dolphins in their most recent showing. Little flick there and a nice touchdown pass. Buffalo’s week one win was fueled by Josh Allen. Week two, it was a James Cook production. Week three, a crossover episode. Allen throwing three touchdowns with a 130 plus rate. Allen throws to the sideline open, reaching for it, making the grab and into the end zone. That offense stacked against the Saints defense that gave up 37 points week three. 26 plus points allowed back-to-back games. He is in. Touchdown Seattle. Allen trying to dodge a pass rush that didn’t produce one sack of Sam Darnold. They gave up two TDs, a rate of 140 to him on a fat Albert. 12.1 yardds per attempt. That’s rare air. They’ve made all three QBs they’ve faced look pretty good in 2025. Darnold back to the air throwing end zone for Horton. Touchdown. The rush defense James Cook faces at least has some swagger to it. Held Seattle runners in check. Only 87 rush yards allowed. Just 2.6 a run. The ball came out and the Saints recover. Cook enters with some fuego 100 plus yards along the ground. Hefty 5.7 yds per carry. He scored. That’s a C note plus for Cook. Back-to-back games. Made it look easy. Touchdown Buffalo. Allen. Four attempts, 25 rush yards. So has rested legs for this one. Buffalo’s line has played a big role in their offensive success, giving Cook plenty of holes and making it hard to bother Allen. He took two sacks versus Miami, but he was pressured less than 10% of the time between his hogs and his legs. Saints will be challenged to harass him into mistakes. That one’s going to take off inside the 30. Slides to a stop. Saints DBs gave up a touchdown and 96 yards to Jackson Smith and Jigba. Held the rest of Seattle’s pass catchers under 33 yards. Now they get Joshua Palmer only one catch, 5 yards versus Miami. Keon Coleman, three catches, 20 yards. Elijah Moore, 30 yards. Khalil Shakir found the paint with 45. It’s a foot race and an easy touchdown there for the Bills. And they have tight end Daltton Concaid to deal with. He scored twice in three games. a TD last week with 66 yards. Concage for the touchdown. Saints fans aren’t raving about their defensive showings, but they know it’s hard to paddle upstream for too long, which they had to do last week due to their offense only putting up 13 points, under 22 points back-to-back games. Five for 15 on third down versus Seattle, one for three in the red zone. Throws to the back of the end zone. He’s got a man down there. Bill’s defense staring at a quarterback who is now 0 and9 in his career. Spencer Rattler not able to carry over his good week two performance as he only managed 5.6 yards per attempt last week. One touchdown against a pick sub 85 rate which he’s finished with two of three games. Rattler with the fourth down pick and it’s Seahawks ball. So far the only offense to put up more than 21 points on Buffalo’s D was Baltimore’s held Miami to 21 in their Thursday night football win after a sub21 point game versus the Jets. Earl Bernard takes care of Gordon in the back field. Bill’s secondary hits week four after doing some flexing versus Tua. Held him to a pitily 146 yds. Picked him off. Have held it down to a sub 85 rate backto-back games. Oh, and it’s intercepted. It’s picked off. Buffalo’s pass rush didn’t even sack 20 once, only hit him once on 34 pass attempts. Rattler sacked twice, 39 pass attempts at least. More of those attempts going to Chris Olive than anyone else. Olave trying to get the first down and he does. Only 57 yards on 10 catches, 14 targets though. Rasheed Shahed chipped in 42 to 52 in their last two games. Shahed has it at midfield and it’s good for a New Orleans first down. Tight end Jawan Johnson is checked out with 49 to 76 yards each game, 51 last week. That’s Johnson. First down again for the Saints. Alvin Chimera always a threat as a pass catcher. Quiet though through the air and the ground versus the Hawks. 42 rush yards on just 2.3 a carry. But maybe Buffalo is the D he gets it cooking against. They gave up 5.2 a run to Devon Aan 62 yards. 38 yds 4.2 a carry to Olly Gordon. Let him score. Gordon plunging forward. He’s in. Not too many Bills Saints games to reminisce about. Saints lead the series seven to five. They really blew everyone’s socks off the first time they got in the ring together back in 1973, too. The Young Saint defenders combined to hold Simpson short of 100 yards. A feat that would be matched only by the world champion Miami Dolphins for the season. In the fourth quarter, Jim Merllo, Jerry Moore, and Ernie Jackson combined to turn the juice back on fourth down while assuring the first shut out in the seven-year Saint. All of the scoring that was needed came on two field goals and another super reception by number 41 Bob Mulan, which brought the winning total to 13 to nothing. For the first time in Saint history, the season was even at the 8game point. [Music] down. Down. [Music]

  1. I'm not saying this will be a blowout…. especially after what the Packers did. Will the bills win? Of course but I'm not predicting a massacre. 31-18
