Rockies vs. Mariners: Full Game Highlights (9/24/25)

The Mariners just absolutely fantastic over the last two and a half, three weeks. 14 of 15. And the Mariners have the Rockies in town. Yes. So, a very bad team that they would like to sweep out of T-Mobile Park. These fans are fired up. The ball club is fired up. And I can’t wait for the first pitch from Bryce Miller tonight. Soft fly ball out to right center field. Roace is right there for out number one. Here’s the wind up and again the 2-2 swinging a two operative short backing up is Prawford. He’s got it. Fires the first. Little wide but Naylor is able to keep his foot on the bag and it’s in time to get Goodman for the second out of the inning. Swinging a fly ball into left center field shallow. Julio coming in. He’s there and will make the catch and one two three go the Rockies here in the top of the first inning. Nice start for Bryce Miller. We go to the bottom of the first inning. So McCade making his sixth big league start. His last outing he faced Miami. Lasted four innings, three runs, four hits, swing and a miss. But you can do that to him as well. You could hear that thud. Cal gets hit. Back foot breaking ball and everybody’s letting Young McKay Brown. 02 pitch to Naylor is hit up the middle. Tobar steps on second. Throws to first. High throw. Crim with the stretch and it’s a double play. Good work by McCade Brown after a couple of hiccups. As you can hear some cheers in the ballpark. All of a sudden it has gone final. The Yankees have walked off the White Sox. All they got to do is win against the worst team in baseball. And that is line down that left field line. That’s a fair ball into the corner. Extra bases for Jordan Beck. He hits first. He’s into second base with a standup leadoff double here in the second inning. Kyleos with two outs and Beck at third. Payoff pitch and a ground ball up the middle. That’s going to be diving grab made by Palanco. Throw to first base. Not in time. The run scores. Heck of a job by Palanco to get that ball on the backand. Got up and made a strong throw but a little bit too late. The Rockies draw first blood. One- nothing. Swung on and miss. McKay Brown blows away Jorge Palano for his second strikeout. That’s strike three. So backto back strikeouts now for McCabe Brown. Brown strikes out the side in the second. What an impressive inning for McCabe. Including three last inning. Strike three called. Caught the outside corner with the slider. Four consecutive hitters struck out by McKay Brown. Here comes that one-two pitch. Swang and a miss. Got him with the fast ball. Five consecutive Mariners struck out by rookie right-hander McKay Brown. The pitch and that’s hit into center field and playable. It’s a skyhigh. But right there is Brentton Doyle. He waits. He makes the catch. A one, two, three inning. Beautifully done again by McCade Brown. Jordan Beck who doubled and scored for the Rockies leads things off in the fourth inning. Here comes the O2. Swung on and missed. High heat blows it by him. Third strike out for Miller. One away. Swang and a miss. Fast ball upstairs. Backto- back punch out. Bryce Miller. Oh, Bryce is starting to find that groove. Here’s the 2-1. Swung out. A high chop right to JP Crawford. Charges. Gloves off his hip. Throws to first. Close play in time. Two away. Canadian out of the suburbs of Toronto. His brother Bo is a former teammate. This is hit hard through the right side for a base hit. First base hit tonight for the Mariners. Josh Naylor aboard with two outs. Two outs and a man aboard for Palano. 02 to Palanco popped him up. Ritterder. Nope. Tovar. Ezekiel’s got it out near second. The guy who knocked in the run. Kyle Keros leads it off and he hits it off of the pitcher Miller. Big ricochet. His throw to first is not in time. Man, that was a direct hit. 103 off the bat and it drills Bryce Miller. I mean, you don’t ever want to get drilled at 103 mph comebacker, but is that is that the best spot if you’re going to choose this place? I’d say that’s the spot. One on and one away. Farmer at first. Here’s Ryan Ritter who was grounded out to JP at short. The pit swinging a ground ball to JP at short. This should be two. Underhand toss to Blanco. Then throw to first. Perfect. Right on time and right on the money for the double play and that will retire the side. This kid has been outstanding. McKay Brown, his sixth major league start. The Mariners have only one hit. Hasn’t made a mistake yet. Here’s Dom Kenzone. The DH. Wow. This ball torched. Good. Tie game. Dom can zone with number 11 on the year. It’s now the Mariners one and the Rockies won. And the crowd right back in this ball game. And I’m telling you, this kid has come up with some mighty big hits since coming back from TripleA Tacoma. Pitch strike three called on the outside corner. That’s how you answer the game tying homer with another punch out with a fast ball. Curve ball. Strike three called. How about that from McKay Brown? His 10th strikeout. And now runners on first and second, one out. We’ll see if the Mariners will make a move here. Bryce Miller has to think right here to get back to hit a ground ball. Double play to get out of the inning. He got the double play ball. Julio has a beat on it on the track. Yard holds it. Runners both tag. Two outs, both advance. He will exit with two outs and two on the sixth inning. Bazardo’s coming in. He has been outstanding. He’ll take over now with runners at second and third. Go ahead and run at third base. It’s one-1 game. The Rockies looking for a big two out hit. And that one’s lifted into right. That’s going to be a base hit. One run scores up with the ball. Robless. He fires in and at home. Safety just beat the throw. Did Blaine Crim then on to second goes Tovar. Huge two out base hit. Knocks in two. 3-1 Rockies. Two on and nobody out for Randy Rose. Lena on a one-two called strike three. It has been tough sledding behind home plate tonight to be frank. That wasn’t an egregious miss, but that was off the plate. And here comes Cal Raleigh. Cal the go ahead run at the plate. Everybody on their feet. Chance of MVP. MVP. And he should be the MVP in the American League. He goes around. Cal Raleigh strikes out on three pitches. Two down. Now the Mariners are getting dangerously close to spoiling this chance. Now the Mariners have the bases loaded with two outs for Josh Naylor. Mariners looking for a win to get a postseason birth to the gap left center field and touches down. Be hit scores. JP’s wave home. Julio to the plate. Josh Taylor. What a knock. What a moment. The Mariners have cashed it in in the eighth inning. One of the biggest hits of the year for Josh Naylor since coming over from the Diamondbacks. That’s the moment this crowd has been waiting for all. One out away from clinching a playoff birth. This crowd is getting ready to erupt ball game. You can’t forget about next year. The Mariners are going to the playoffs. The Mariners are going to the postseason and the fans are going crazy here at T-Mobile Park. The Mariners will play games in October. They make it to the postseason with a come from behind four to3 win over the Rockies here at T-Mobile

The Mariners clinched a playoff berth at T-Mobile Park with a thrilling 4–3 win over the Rockies. Josh Naylor’s key 2-RBI double gave Seattle the edge, and the pitching staff held the line as the home crowd celebrated the team’s return to the postseason.
