“Vic says nah.”
Whatever locker room issues CJ is creating, we’ve already had two rounds of it. Don’t need a third time.
Also, what would you expect him to say? “Yeah, our DBs are ass, we need to bring him back.” He’s not going to answer this question one way or the other, lol.
He was as much of a personality dump as a contract dump, Slay pretty much hinted at that when it happened
I thought it was already established that they can’t?
Edit: apparently BLG misinterpreted the rule, my bad!
I dont know why anyone would ask Nick about this.
I can guarantee you that Nick has no input on the roster of the defense.
Right answer, mukuba is a stud in the making
Make it happen man fuck the what ifs he’s been a high level playmaker and leader every year he’s been here
4:30 pm Eagles have signed recently released Safety Cj Gardner Johnson (I don’t think so, but that’s how these things feel)
As much as we remember the good CJ brought and the 2 SB teams, and it looks like Howie can make the right money deal, I think we all know there is a reason they got rid of him and it just isn’t the right time. Trust in Saint Vic and Mukuba. And if anything get him some help at CB.
I’d still like to hear who put in Pryor over Fred but we still haven’t asked 4 interviews later.
There’s already a rumor that he’s getting released from the Texans after their awful 3rd loss.
I still think using CJ in the slot and sliding Coop outside fixes all the issues we’ve got in this defense without sacrificing a good tackler against the run.
Despite what the media tells us, despite what some people’s opinions of him are, CJGJ was there with us each time we went to the Super bowl, as a player he provides experience and ability. I’m not interested in if he’s up for a Nobel, he was solid for us as a safety.
Good. All the WIP mouth breathers calling for Howie to sign him can shut up now.
Never heard of ”Hell Naw” said so politely.
The Texans, one of the worst teams in the nfl, decided this guy isn’t worth having around. They saved zero money cutting him and get no comp picks or anything. They straight up decided after 3 weeks of having him in the locker room that cutting him for no gain was addition by subtraction. This after we already traded him for scraps and saved way less money than we took on in dead money to get rid of him.
Clearly there’s a reason for all of this. I can’t for the life of me figure out why some eagles fans seem to really want this guy back considering all of that. Especially when mukuba has already looked better as a rookie than CJ did last year.
As a Clemson fan, it’s weird to hear him called Drew Mukuba. Always called him Andrew while he was there.
His attitude outweighs his playing abilities. Otherwise he’d still be on a team. Loved the guy when he was here, but its clear he’s a headache
We tried to let him save face and he showed his ass lol
He isn’t wanted because he’s a locker room problem and got beat a lot in coverage.
Cowboys gonna sign him
Yeah I mean, I’m surprised people were asking about him coming back. If this were Madden and you didn’t have to worry about the actual personalities and egos of the players I would love to sign him back for safety depth.
But as Nick said Drew is playing well and we invested a second round pick in him so we want him to start and get better as the year progresses like Coop and Q did last year.
It would be one thing if Isaiah Rodgers or even Slay got released, but I don’t think the safety play has been bad. We don’t have All Pro’s back there, and the system puts a lot of stress on them. But they have been fine to my eye.
If Mukuba was ass I’d say bring CJGJ back, but Mukuba’s a beast.
Was this before or after they signed Marcus Epps to the active roster?
We’re good. Next question
Mukuba is the one , Longhorn fans know
We traded him. It’s against the rules for us to sign him…HELLO Didn’t we just go through this with Reddick??!??
There’s no question about CJGJ talent, knowledge of Fangio system and contributions to our team success. The concerns of CJGJ limiting Mukuba’s growth is weak as they can play together or in rotation. The fact is CJGJ is a knucklehead is known but Eagles have strong locker room culture and have dealt with him before and given his circumstances he will be more humble and willing to adapt. Moreover he’s an almost 0$ risk. If feasible I would do it as he solves so many concerns in our backfield.
