  1. The way he fielded the ball was so smooth and instinctive — I feel like some pitchers sort of get spooked at comebackers (rightfully so) and sometimes forget who’s on what base and struggle to even get one out. Way to turn two right there.

  2. Why are you people so set on having him only be a batter when pitching is way more valuable than any single hitter (1 of 9 on offense)

  3. Outfield Ohtani will be amazing as long as his arm is still in tact. Cannon shots from the warning track to get people out

  4. I am surprised he had never won a gold glove before. He is capable of holding the ball near the mound, and it seems no runners actively try to steal bases when he pitches.

  5. “I fucking let a single runner on base. Fuckin shit. Terrible inning. Just watch, I’m gonna murder this lineup. Seething! Grrr! Oh hai batboy. Wassup, doing good? Me, nah I’m chillin.”

  6. He’s not only good but his aura farming game is also strong as hell. Everything he does is freaking cool. He makes baseball look so beautiful and easy

  7. Don’t forget the other play where he chased, picked up the ground ball and tagged the runner all in one swift motion!

  8. I feel like the broadcast barely acknowledged how easy he made that play look. Looked like an infielder on that throw

  9. He’s gonna need to play outfield after closing games in the playoffs, so his bat can stayh in the game. Cause our bull-pen is utter ass. Scott, Yates, and Treinen should be left off the roster.

  10. Before putting him in the outfield, the Fighters actually tried him out at SS in practice sessions, but they quickly ended that experiment, according to Shohei himself. But he will probably make a fine 1B as a big target to boot.
