The offense was hindered by the injuries no doubt, but I still think the offense would still have been average to below average in runs scored if we were healthy most of the season. Walker had a terrible first half. Post ASB, everyone not named Correa or Peña have been meh to awful (excluding Paredes and Yordan). Something needs to change with the offense – change hitting coaches, go get another bat or two in the offseason.

This coupled with all the pitching injuries was a recipe for disaster. Somehow the pitching is still 9th best in runs allowed per game, and we’d probably be in the top 5 if healthy.

  1. It sucks to see what the offense has become in our first season without Bregman and Tucker. Altuve and Walker are aging and Yordan might be our only reliable 30+ homer power hitter.

  2. Yordan needs to get in better physical condition. He could stand to lose about 20 pounds of fat, and add some lean muscle.

Too many baseball players are shaped like potatoes.

  3. The funny thing is we are 10th in hits. 15th in OBP, and OPS.

Where this team failed on offense is we are bottom of the league in extra base hits and walks. And then we are 2nd in GIDP.

To me that just screams bad approach at the plate which is a coaching issue.

  4. What’s crazy is Cleveland’s offense is worse than ours and they’re looking like they’ll be in the playoffs 🫠
