  29. I’m all for players improving aspects of their games throughout the years. This hyping up ATHLETES for finally getting in shape years into their career fascination is just not it for me. Zion is on a max contract. There shouldn’t be no pat on the backs for putting down the fries when a franchise gives you $40Ms AAV to lead them to success.

  31. That’s literally how I felt when Zion went on that press tour last year, saying “I’m out for revenge on everyone who doubted me”.

    The doubt was people asking why he wouldn’t take care of himself, and also his questionable decisions (tricking on women) instead of focusing on his craft.

  46. Look at the pattern. Its not the end of his contract this season, but his contract year is coming up. This is the point where most people who’ve been slacking the whole time actually start to ball out.

    Zion has entered the period of his contract where he’s become more affordable to other teams, and its more viable to trade him now. Now he’s gotta prove he’s worth keeping again especially if he wants a lucrative extension.
