MLB Highlights | Red Sox vs. Blue Jays – September 24, 2025
had a couple of hits including a double last night and he hooks this one down the right field line. It’s a fair ball. Story will score. Bregman coming around to third. He’ll be held. It’s an RBI double for Yoshida and it’s one to nothing Boston the 1-1. And this will drop in left field for a base hit. Bregman is in. Yoshida’s on his way to the plate and the Red Sox have a three to nothing lead. 02 ground ball to first. Guerrero has it. There’s one. Back to first. Not in time. Back in the lineup. He is hitting in the five spot tonight. And there’s a nasty breaking ball. That’s the sweeper from Crochet for out number one. Yeah, his sweeper is a terrific pitch. He walked four. They had good long quality at bats. This is hooked down the left field line. Speaking of quality at bats, Ernie Clement will make the turn and head to second, but Vlatty struggling recently and hits a little chopper right back to the mound. Clement’s got to go back to second. Guerrero thrown out. But after the first pitch, but just fly ball to right over towards the line goes a Breu and he’ll make the catch and the Clement double is left aboard. Three to nothing Red Sox after one. Final start of the year. He went around says first base up Mike Molinski. So Santandere strikes out. Yeah, he went around right there. Yes, he did. Yep. And a strike out of Gonzalez. Line drive right field. Hit well and it is over the head of Straw and off the wall. Raphael runs well and he’s into second with a two out double. Yeah, he’s two for two so far in this game. Tiner FA at first. One down and a two- two count on Springer. Grounded to short. Story the flip to second. On to first for two. And the inning is over. And Sherzer gets Narvay for out number one. And got him again. Second time tonight that Sherzer has struck out Duran. And maybe not for long. This one is going to go. That is a long home run for Yoshida. His third home run of the season to make it four to nothing. His second extra base hit of the game. And he absolutely wears out the Blue Jays. I don’t care who’s pitching. He’s hit over 350 against the Jays in his career. And he jumped on top of that one. Very abbreviated season, but he puts a good swing on this pitch. It’s up in the zone, but 92 mph and he’s able to turn on it. A guy doesn’t have a whole lot of power, but he does tap that fast ball. They’ve done a nice job of calming things down. 19 on the season in 84 and two/3 innings. He’ll strike out low, so that’ll set down the Red Sox, but they do add to their lead on the home run. This one is in the air to right center. It’s deep and it is gone. Narvz with serious opposite field power hitting a three-run homer to right center to make it a seven to nothing game. He had a big two-run double in that direction in the game last night. He hits his 15th home run. Bereos gave up a single walked bat in there the next two outs and that’s not a bad pitch. is down, but he stays on it and drives it deep into the seat in deep right center. The 2- two strike three called in the inside corner. Shane Bieber is going to start Friday night in the opening game of the series against Tampa Bay. And now Straw is furious at that call. He did not get tossed out, although he was very vocal about how unhappy he was. It’s a ground ball to second here. Schneider the flip to IKF and on to Clemented first to turn two. This is hit well to the opposite field. It’s carrying and it’s gone. How about that? A 100 mph fast ball hit out to right by Kiner FPA. his second home run of the season. Well, he put a good swing on a couple of those fast balls going to the mound. [Applause] Just enough. Bad combination. Yeah, hard to imagine it given how well the offense was going for so long. Shot into right. A base hit for Kirk. The throw to first. It’s not a base hit. He is out 93 and that ends the ball game as Abrau came up firing and got Kirk and that will end the game as the Red Sox defeat the Blue Jays 7 to1 [Music]
The Toronto Blue Jays continue to struggle down the stretch, losing more ground in their chase for the AL East pennant with a 7-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox.

Once again the bullpen falls apart and now the division is undecided, and kirks running at the end pmo lkke its not always a base knock!
Go jays 💪 focus on next game
Just like the Leafs the Jays chokewhen it counts. Wildcard and done in 3 games
Not sure why you’d start max in the postseason, I’d take Jose or Eric or Trey or bass or anyone over him, your offence can’t score so when he gives up five in the first in the postseason the game will be over, it’s what he’s been doing for ever now, put the ego aside and use your head and pay attention to what you are watching, boo jays will always overthink things and blow it as usual, past postseasons are evidence of how they overthink things all the time, wore out the pen all year cuz two times threw and your done even though you maybe dealing lol this organization needs a whole makeover top to bottom, three hits won’t win you any postseason games and definitely not when none of them have any slug and can hit a long ball but apparently that was low hanging fruit for Ross that he couldn’t get in the offseason lmao
So who is blaming the Umps for this one?
Let me guess is it somehow the Yankees fault that y’all choked again 😂
Fun watching the Blue Jays choke like the Leafs.
ScherLOSER his last two outings. Fans should have walked out after the top of the 8th to show their disgust. Kirk out at first on a single to the outfield is a disgrace! Imagine that was the 9th inning of game 7 of the World Series down by a run. 162 game season, not 152! Useless!
Jays may as well forfeit the rest of the regular season.
Aaaaand the choking continues
Blowjays suck
Congrats you just blew it
