Long video, but this guy sent a fan letter to every major sports team, asking them for free merch. The Bengals were the first NFL team to respond, and one of 17 NFL teams to respond overall. Didn't looks like anything but a card, but still pretty interesting.

I did something like this with all the mlb teams as a kid like 40+ years ago. I didn’t ask for merch but I wrote every team asking for a schedule for that season. Almost all the teams responded. Some of them sent extra stuff, programs or keychains, that sort of thing. It was a cool fun little way for a young baseball fan to get through the long winter. 😀
