🚨 K.C. Johnson Drops SHOCKING Chicago Bulls Offseason Twist – DON’T SLEEP on Dalen Terry! 💥

Welcome to just another year of Chicago Bulls. My name is Philip Charles Vander Hayden IVth. And on this episode, we’re talking about Dalen Terry. That’s right. Don’t sleep on Dalen Terry, says KC Johnson, and we’re going to talk about it on this episode. If you’re excited to see the development of the Baby Bulls, hit that like button, my friends. And can you see Dalen Terry winning the starting small forward position? Type Y for yes, type N for no. Let me know in the comments below. Let’s talk about it, man. because I didn’t expect to talk about this. But all right, I tell you what, guys. Casey Johnson threw me for a loop today. I don’t know how many of you were counting Day Terry to be a serious contender for the starting three, but honestly, he was low above my on my list. He probably would have only been above Patrick Williams if you’re asking me. You know, I’m talking about it would he would have been below Wer. He would have been below IO. He would have been below Julian Phillips. He would have been below uh I mean Isaac Aoro, he would have been maybe even below Noah Essen in terms of how like who I would expect to be the starting three if I were putting bets on it. But not so much anymore. Now I’ve got my eye out for him because Jaylen Terry hype is real and it’s brought to you by Casey Johnson. Here’s the quote. I’ve been told by a lot of people that this is a guy who quietly has had a very very strong off season. He has worked hard to improve his shot. And then later in the quote, I’ve heard from multiple people that he has had a very strong off season. He said that today about less than two hours ago on his new By the Horns podcast episode. And these were daily Terry stats last season. Now, they were all of these were careerh highs for the most part except for his rebounds. But as you could see, he did take a step last season, but if you, you know, go through the totals, 13 and a half minutes a game, 4.5 points a game, 45% from the field, 35 12% from three-point land, 71% from the free throw, 1.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 0.6 steals. Those are not numbers that are going to knock your socks off, right? You see careerhigh for numbers like that and you’re like, “Wow, well, the rest of his career must not have been very good.” And you’d be correct. his first few seasons were were basically marred by just he was almost unplayable to the point where Bulls fans like first you know obviously we drafted Patrick Williams and that marked you know Acme’s tenure a certain way by a lot of Bulls fans but I think it was the Dalen Terry draft uh where where people started to openly mock his drafting ability and you know when we drafted drafted him. He was he was a kid. He’s going into his fourth year, but he’s only 23 years old, right? So, he was like 19 years old, maybe even 18 when we drafted him. So, that right there gives you an idea of how young he was. And, you know, this is why it’s tough, man. It’s tough to be drafted to a city like Chicago because people expect instant results, right? This is not a great city for you to be drafted as a young kid and to tell the fans, hey, it’s going to take three years before you actually see what this guy is capable of. Chicago is not very giving when it comes to that. I mean, how many times were people out on Kobe White, you know? So, it’s good that it seems like I’m going to I’m going to give Arturus Carnosova credit here. He seems to be patient when it comes to development. He doesn’t go out on players too fast. And that’s a credit because if it was up to this city, we wouldn’t have Kobe White. He would have been gone two years ago. You know what I mean? So Dale Terry is another example of that. I was not expecting I expected him to maybe play a role even though we’re a deep team for wings. Like I when we were fully healthy, I honestly probably would have made him like the 10th or 11th man based on what I was expecting. And you’re not going to get very many minutes. You’re just not. You know, he’s a he’s a guard or a small wing and we we’re loaded there. We’re I mean, it’s not like we have superstars, but we have a lot of good players. I expected Julian Phillips to be comfortably ahead of him, but I didn’t hear Casey Johnson open his mouth about Julian Phillips when he was talking about starting small forward. I heard him talk about Dalon Terry. And for him to say that multiple people have come to him and said this, that speaks to me a little bit. You know, if it you hear from one guy, okay, hear from two guys, all right, maybe you hear from like three, four, five guys like this guy’s, whoa, he’s a different player than when you saw him last season. Now my ears are perked up. Now I’m listening and now I’m very interested to see what you got to offer this season, Denton Terry. Completely unexpected, but seriously welcome. Seriously welcome. And he’s right in time. He’s due for a contract at the end of this year. But maybe Dalon Terry is the true sleeper on this Bull squad. I thought it was going to be Julian Phillips, guys. Like straight up, I thought Julian Phillips was going to be somebody that people weren’t expecting to be like a really consistent great player for us. But it it’s looking like Dalon Terry might be that guy if he can lock up the starting three. If one of these young players, I don’t even Aoro Phillips, Dalon Terry, Noah Essen, Patrick Williams, somebody somebody grabbed that three, somebody grabbed that small forward position and lock it down. Make it yours. You know, like somebody that that Bulls Nation could feel good about like, okay, that’s our guy. We’re developing with him. He’s a forward, you know, tandem with Matas Buzzel going forward. And Dalen Terry would would would be a nice compliment because Dale and Terry’s strengths are defense and and energy. And so you put that next to Matas on the break with Josh Giddy and it does fit. The problem was that Dalen Terry was a nothing really on offense. You know, he really didn’t give you anything. I felt like he was even lesser than Julian Phillips. And so because of that, I wasn’t expecting much. I expected him to be a defensive pest and that was it. Like a like a worse version of Isaac Aoro. I don’t think that’s what we’re going to get, guys. If if what we just seen was true. Now, sometimes you put in the work in the summer and you get better, but it doesn’t translate for whatever reason on an NBA floor. So, we got to see it. But if his confidence, if nothing else, should be better. And that makes me excited, man. It makes me really excited. A Dale and Terry breakout would be huge for us guys. Now, even now, now think about the other guys, right? What if Julian Phillips does the same thing, dude? We could put we could stash Noah Essen at that point. Like, you don’t even have to play. Go play for Wendy City, bro. Get better. Take your time. Get better at your pace, right? At a comfortable pace without ruining him by putting him out there while he’s doing it before it’s too early. And then bang, all of a sudden Noah Essen comes back one, you know, in a couple seasons like Dalon Terry maybe and he’s balling because he has even he has more talent than any of these forwards except for Matas. So if you can’t tell, this really gets me excited because this is Acy’s second worst draft pick, right? And if he ends up being a positive, that’s huge. Now, you know, you like I said, you never know, but this could be really big for the Bulls, guys. Really big. Let’s go, Don Terry. Show them what you’re about, young man. Tell them what’s good, man. I want to see you go out there and ball out. If nothing else, Dalon Terry is showing he’s a great locker room guy. Very excited, very positive, big smile on his face. Somebody you want on that bus with you, on that airplane with you when you’re traveling around. And now he might be able to be more than that. And that’s amazing. Let’s go, Dalon. Do it, bro. Do it. All right, that’s it for this episode. I just have the question of the day now. And uh so the last question of the day I had, which I did the hope and optimism episode, so this is from the episode before. What center would you have the Chicago Bulls trade for if you had to pick? And I had two answers that stuck out to me. One was I wouldn’t trade for a center. I developed Lachlan Obridge and maybe that he said behind Buchin Collins he also said after that maybe that’s the Aussie bias in me that’s our man Slayer who always has great answers and uh I respect that Slayer I don’t expect you to not rep for your countrymen now the only thing with Lachland is that he if he’s going to develop into our starting center of the future he’s got some work to do because honestly I really want a rim protector at the starting center position And I don’t see that from him. He’s more of an offensive big from what I can see. He might give you energy on defense, but I don’t see him blocking shots. I would really like a strong shot blocker there. But hey, man, I love his passing ability. It’s clear that he’s got an athletic profile. Maybe he can be the guy. Would love it. But I think you probably have to aim for someone else and and give him competition because I don’t think Lachland has so much talent, raw talent that you look and you say there’s no one we like he’s got to be the guy, right? You got to give him competition and if he wins the job, great. But I think we got to bring somebody in whether we draft him or trade for him or sign him, whatever, that’s going to supplant Vousvich when the time comes. And then the second answer was Jaylen Duran who was really that’s a perfect answer for me that fits exactly what I’m trying to look for uh from my center. I mean he’s he’s he’s young and he has potential. You know what I mean? Last season for Detroit Jaylen Duran averaged 26 minutes a game. He averaged 11.8 points per game. He rebounded uh he rebounded 10.3 rebounds a game. So he averaged a double double. That’s nice. 2.7 assists per game, 0.7 steals per game, and a full block per game, which is great. That’s exactly what I’m looking for. Something like that. I would like two blocks a game, but you know, beggars can’t be choosers, right? I do enjoy that he’s increased his he increased his blocks from the seasons prior. that was a career high for him and uh it looks like he had a down year compared to 2023 24. So I don’t know if he’s hit his hit his peak. Uh that would be the only thing is to see like hey this what more does this guy have? But Jaylen Durren would be a fun acquisition if the bull if the Pistons don’t end up resigning him. I think the Bulls should definitely target him. But my question of the day for tomorrow, do you think that Dalon Terry can make the big leap to becoming a starter? Tell me yes or no in the comments. And I know I asked that earlier, but I want to just ask that for this. I know I asked right here. Do you see him winning the starting small forward position? I I I I just I really want to know. I want to focus on this one question. Can Dalon Terry take the leap to becoming a starter? And let’s talk about why. Not just yes or no, but let’s talk about why. And obviously the best answers will be chosen by me and featured on tomorrow’s show. Anywhere from one to four answers I I would pick. But that’ll do it for this episode of just another year Chicago Bulls. It feels good to come to you guys with some actual news, some actual exciting, something fresh other than the normal. You know, there has been such so slow news, guys. And I’m glad that you guys are sticking here with me. But uh we’re almost at the season, man. Two weeks out. Two weeks out from the preseason. And I am hyped and now I have an extra reason to to see if Denton Terry’s got what it takes. That’ll do it for this episode of Just Another of the Year Chicago Bulls. My name is Philip Charles Vander Hayden the fourth and as always I am seeing red more than ever baby. Let’s go.

he Chicago Bulls might have a hidden gem ready to break out — and his name is Dalen Terry. Host Philip Charles VanDerHeyden IV of Just Another Year Chicago: Bulls is here to tell you why you should NOT be sleeping on the versatile guard/forward heading into the 2025-26 season!

KC Johnson dropped a new episode of his By The Horns podcast today, and he dropped a major nugget: the battle for the Bulls’ starting Small Forward spot is heating up — and Dalen Terry is in the mix. Even more exciting, KC revealed that multiple sources have told him that Terry has had a “VERY, VERY strong offseason.” That kind of growth from Terry could be a massive difference-maker not just for this year, but for the long-term future of the Bulls.

PCV IV is hyped — and Bulls Nation should be too. A leap from Dalen Terry could give Chicago more depth, versatility, and energy, all while fueling the next chapter of this team’s development. Don’t count this man out — the signs are there, and it’s time to start believing in his rise.

In this episode, PCV IV will also shout out his favorite Question of the Day answers from Friday’s show before dropping a brand new Question of the Day for YOU to answer. Leave your responses in the comments — you might just hear your name in the next video when PCV IV picks 1–4 of the best replies!

  3. Maybe get him a nice mid range tighten more on defense then yes as far as a center walker Kessler I mean Utah is tanking this year and he has the same contract as Coby we give up a few picks and we'll have a rim protector

  4. If Dalen develops as much this season as it seems he will, the Bulls should take him as SG and trade Coby to get picks and try a center like Jalen Duren, taking advantage of the fact that he is still valued in the league

  5. No I don't think Dalen will be a starter and that's more because of Billy Donovan and the trust he has in certain players. I see Billy Starting Huerter or Okorro instead of Dalen

  6. This is what I read or heard on Dalen in the off season. He worked with Peter Patton on shooting. I saw a video of him doing Coby’s dribbling drills. He changed his diet and gained some weight. In my opinion, he will get some two and three time. He won’t be a starter at the beginning of the year but things can break in a bunch of directions. This is going to be wild good.
