Francisco Alvarez DESTROYS Two-Run Homer | FULL AT-BAT
State of course had a run with Detroit six years. He also pitched for Seattle then Cleveland. And look at that slow curve ball. You know, you review the night. So fast ball works. His change up’s been great, but getting ahead allows him to use that pitch. And that’s what Tong couldn’t do. Exactly. Just to drop it in and steal strikes. Yeah. They don’t even swing. There’s so many gimmies out there that you can get as a pitcher, especially early in the count where it’s a freebie. You just take the strike. This curveball shows up to the party early, but you never see it late. Last call. The curveball’s already gone home to sleep. The Red Sox have gone into Toronto and taken the first two of that series. Garrick Crochet didn’t give up any run. Struck out six as Alvarez fouls that off. So, the Blue Jays lose. The Yankees are in the bottom of the eighth inning, leading at home 5 to one. If they win, they will be tied at top the American League East with Toronto. The Blue Jays have the tiebreaker against the Yankees. But there’s a chance New York finishes as the as the one seed in the American League for for all the consternation of this long season. There they are after tonight. likely to be tied for first place in the American League East. Seattle. The other team that’s battling for the one spot in the American League has Colorado. They have yet to get underway. And Carl, I think, you know, as we’ve been talking a lot about the Tigers and their collapse, seven straight losses coming in tonight, 10 out of 11, 26 and 38, uh, since July 9th. Well, you know, they still have to be caught if they’re not going to make the playoffs. Alvarez left field. This one is deep. Half is back. And for the second night in a row, Francisco goes yard and he gives the New York Mets life a two-run shot. And they break through and maybe some deja vu on that side. It’s exactly what they needed as well. Change up stays up. Francisco just getting all over it. And again, another two-run homer. This time, not to put him ahead, but at least to get them closer. Four-run deficit. Change up right down the middle. gets it out front. Hammered 107 miles an hour. 413 ft. [Music]
9/24/25: Francisco Alvarez homers for the second straight night at Wrigley Field. He brings home Mark Vientos with this long home run.

Lets go.
Ain't coming back from this 1…
C'mon….RAMP IT UP!
Tong needs to return him to Triple-A. He still lacks experience and doesn't have control over all of his pitches.
Yogi said it ain't over 'til it's over, but I'm not so sure.
It ain't over till the fat lady sings, but she's in the corner humming.
Pissing it away
🎉🎉🎉❤💪
Arriba mets
The Mets need to tuck their ego and go sign a big name starting pitcher. All this fucking Montas, Clay Holmes, Sean Manea reliever to starter transition crap has to go
Win 1 lose 2 every series since second half and that a good outcome for series
That was a bomb. But, the team is cooked.
Mets arnt tough enuf.
I truly believe its rigged. Soto with all those errors on routine plays over the last few days. And Soto and Alonso's bats just grow cold. I don't believe in all this slump stuff. Why is it that the teams the mets are facing have no problem hitting consistently. As soon as I saw the Mets would lose today I knew the Pirates would win and the Dodgers would most likely beat Arizona.
Te cubs play alone to night.
People forget Alvarez was the #1 prospect in all of baseball at the age of 19. Hes special and has a great future ahead of him.
Tong just turned 22 in june. He`ll be fine. This is some good experience for him. Start the season next year in 3A, put in the work to refine his pitches and see if you can get back to the big club by june.
F Gary Cohen. He must be fired !!!
