Tigers vs. Guardians Game Highlights (9/24/25) | MLB Highlights

The Guardians have ripped off 16 wins in their last 18 games while the Tigers have dropped seven in a row and 10 of their last 11. Setting up this big game here tonight in which the Guardians really take command of the American League central division. Tanner babe, who certainly can strike you out. He so far this year has a couple of complete games under his belt and at 157 strikeouts in 176 innings. Here we go. Game two right field moving over making the running catch is CJ Kafa for out number one, here’s second baseman Glaber Torres right handed batter, ground ball hitter at the middle, cut off by a spin throw and it goes along with that good pitching as the defense that they have been playing as well. He made that look easy tander on the year 11 and 11 earned run average 434 swing and a miss. He struck him out with a changeup to end the inning. The Tigers go 123. The Guardians are coming to bat. Jack Flaherty was really good last time out against Cleveland , only allowing the one run, Jackie Flash on the bump, you know that fastball is going to need to play today. Last time out against the Guardians. He located that fastball. Really? Well, Naylor has had an RB I in six straight games. There’s strike three and a curveball and one away, strike three right there with the fastball. They are all confused as to what’s coming out of the hand of Jack Flaherty. You’ve got Naylor the lefty with the curveball looking in the last at bat. And this time you see, he blows this heater right by arias line drive left field played perfectly by Riley Green of the Tigers. The error does no harm except three extra pitches and we’re scoreless through two. Another good one, isn’t it? Cleveland Detroit, no score. Third inning Mckinstry, a 260 hitter with a dozen homers 49 RB I S A leaping catch by Kyle Manzo at first base. One down boy, oh boy, highway robbery right there. That ball was ticketed for the right field corner and extra bases and Manzo with a perfectly timed leap to Rob Mckinstry Dylan Dingler with one out here in the 3rd, 32. My drive right field. That’s a base hit for the adult polar bear big at bat for Trey here to try to flip the card over Sweeney on the ground that is through a dribbler through the right side dingler going first to third. This throw is cut off there. The Tigers have a little base running to do two on with one out in the third. Gotta pay off something here and this is latch to right field and playable for Kafa. It does get a run home parker meadows with contact on a sack fly. Could have been more. Tigers will take it. It’s one nothing. Bobby’s the one feeling the stress. He’s got 25 pitches this inning a him out front and Manzo will take it himself by minimizes the damage. Here in the third Tigers lead it one to Roo hitting 2 31 4 homers. 40. RBI Flaherty has struck out four going to left field that’s going to get down down to the warning track cut off by Riley Green, but it’s a leadoff double for Brian Roo his 18th on the year infield in for the rookie. Valera struck out his first time hits it well, deep center meadows back on the track at the wall. It’s gone. George Valera has put the Guardians on top two to one on a towering homer to center and this is how you just keep attacking the team. You’re trying to chase down as soon as Detroit gets a little momentum. Cleveland snaps it back 21 Guardians on top bottom of the fifth inning one down. Here’s Brian Roo roo with a double his first time up, rips it in the center field. His second hitter getting that stroke back. He got on top of a high fastball right there after taking that last double down the line to left field. This is nice. He goes right to center. There goes the runner a delayed steal, Roch’s in there safely and Brian Roch is in scoring position with his eighth stolen base on the season. Top of the lineup now and Stephen Kwan with one out and a runner aboard here in the fifth Guardians already up 2 to 1. They love to pad that left center field that’s in the alley. Here comes Roko 31. Cleveland. It’s the 37th hit of the year for stephen Kwan with a runner in scoring position. And that’s why he’s the Guardian’s best at it. He goes right there. He gets a and he didn’t try to do with it. Give me a base hit the other way. He plugs a gap in left center field. There is nothing in sports that tops the atmosphere of September and Then October playoff baseball. We have it again tonight in Cleveland. This incredible run of starting pitching almost beyond comprehension continues. First ball, swinging carry. Carpenter rules 11 down Tanner Bobby. I wouldn’t necessarily say he’s been a different pitcher. Now, here he is. Once again, he given you that kind of competitive effort that we’re so used to seeing high sky high, shallow center racing in and he’s there to down, they’re on their feet again here at the corner of Carnegie in Ontario. Here’s the 22 to win. Perez Adams and a curveball in the dirt. Naylor digs and out tags him out five strikeouts for bay and another roaring standing ovation as Babe and Cleveland come to the third base dugout 3 to 1. Cleveland in the middle of the sixth on to pitch. Now is rafael Montero. So they have runners on 1st and 2nd. Nobody out. 32 popped up back of home dingler. We can’t make the catch. Oh, my mistakes that we just did not see in the first two thirds of this season. Misses ball four, man. Oh man. This guy’s been the tiger closer much of the year. He has 21 saves will best six and 53, 15. Er, a bases loaded. Nobody out. Seventh inning. 3 to 1. Cleveland, here’s stephen Kwan juan hits it high in the air, shallow center field. We Perez is in on it to make the catch and no t big out number one here in the seventh swing and a mess there. It’s not change up. What a call by Dylan Dangler? And what execution by best. So jose ramirez with the bases loaded. Wow. Is this worth the price of admission? This at bat alone? He’s been a tiger killer down through the years. Base hit right field. Stephen scores hin scores Jose into second. It’s a hustle double Mr inevitable Dillon and Cleveland with a five to one lane here in the seventh inning, tied at the top of the A L Central for now, but Riley Green went Perez and zack Mckinstry have to do something right now where Cleveland is going to take sole possession of first place. Jacob June is done. The pitch for Cleveland Sinker slider change one run tonight for Detroit on five hits. We tapper Roko one day. Here’s win. Cell Perez switch hitter batting left handed zero for two with a walk up to Bonny field. Drifting back. Arias two down. Kate smith will face Dylan Dingler. Jacob Junis night is done after an inning and two thirds and one baserunner Cleveland trying to make it 17 wins in their last 19 games swing and a Q shot to second roo gloves throws ball game. The Guardians are alone atop the American League Central division standings. They just delivered a nasty left hook to the Detroit Tigers jaw in the 15th round. The Tigers are down. That counts to about nine. Jason. Are they gonna get up? That’s the question that’s left. Are the Tigers going to get up off the mat?

  1. Falling off a cliff? ❌
No. The tigers rode the Wylie Coyote Acme rocket off the edge of the cliff reaching mach 3 on the way down. 🚀 💥🔥
The Cleveland roadrunner said… 'Meep! Meep! 💨

  2. Wow! Keep it up Cleveland. I’m a Minnesota Twins fan but am cheering for Cleveland. Jose Ramirez is such a fantastic player. I would love to see him get a World Series ring.

While this would be an historic collapse if Detroit loses the division, the Giants winning the pennant over the Dodgers in 1951 with the “shot heard round the world” is still the biggest collapse of all time in baseball because of the two teams involved. Detroit Tigers are NOT a team in their caliber.

  3. I’m a Cleveland fan and I love how our team is playing, but I can’t help feeling a bit of pity and even sadness for the Detroit players. They look crushed, and seeing the catcher miss that out only confirms it… I truly hope next year is a little better for them, at least that they don’t have such a steep downfall like this season.

  4. The Tigers lose again. Mediocre pitching, mediocre batting and questionable coaching decisions by AJ. They’ve just lost all their mojo and confidence. I hate to say it but this season is pretty much over.

  5. Wow, the Tigers are falling apart big time. It makes you wonder what has happened to the team that was so dominant at the beginning of the season.

It's amazing how things change in sports from game to game. Teams that were written off are now possible getting a wildcard spot. Teams that were considered unbeatable can't win a game no matter how hard they try. As they say, it ain't over till it's over or the fat lady sings. 😊 🇨🇦

  6. Tigers don’t need to worry the Astros will assist lol it’s definitely crazy am a Yankees fan and we definitely have to fight hard now we can take it by jays losing one and we win out

  7. Jose is the best player in MLB and would love to see him get his flowers and win an MVP but unfortunately everyone just cares about how many homeruns a guy can hit but he does more then that. Homers, doubles, he can steal a base, he gets on base, has a good eye, hustles like his hair is on fire. Cant wait to see what he does in October Go Guardians (or Tribe) w/e see you in the post season Cleveland

  8. This is too much fun for CLE fan just watched the Guardians Highlights and now watching the MLB version … which, oddly(?) is the same highlights. oh well
This is still like a Guardians fever dream of excitement coming true; tasting the playoffs up by 2 (Guards Have the tie breaker) on the Tigers.
Tiger fan. If you don't mind me saying I still hope your team gets the Wild Card. Just "Get up off the canvas". Win the Boston series.

Guardians, obviously, still need to finish. Win the final series against Rangers, please. One win might do it but we don't want to think about that, really. fingers been🤞for days now. I don't need to give off no bad mojo.

  9. I have written this probably 4-5 times now but probably most accurate this time. Steven Vogt is giving a masterclass in managing a baseball team
The fact he hasn't lost this team along the way is incredible and a testament to his management skills and respect from the team. Clase gone, Lively never pitched Bieber never pitched, Ortiz gone. They went through 10 game losing streaks and crazy lineups. I mean at one time David Fry was hitting clean up lol. Bibee until the last month way under produced and on and on. However through all that the team comes out and plays with heart and energy and confidence. Credit can also go to especially Ramirez and Kwan as well for their leadership they play 100 percent full on no matter how many games back. They truly are enjoyable to watch especially given the restraints they play in budget wise knowing ownership isn't going to go out and do what Seattle did at the deadline to try and win.
