They should start me instead. I once pitched a perfect game in high school, but the cameras were off.
Why not just run Berrios tomorrow instead of bringing him from the pen tonight? Wanted to prepare him for playoffs I guess

Honestly, Varland + Lauer sounds better to me than any starter not named Gausman, Bieber or Yesavage
why not Lauer?
In college our coach called a 2 out bases loaded suicide squeeze in a must win playoff game. Wild decision we thought. They threw the ball away into the right field corner. We scored 3 runs and ended up winning. So let’s just see this play out hahaha
I know we’re in the playoffs, but man this is rough to watch.

Scherzer gave up so many runs in the 1st inning of his starts. Should have used opener on Scherzer and let Lauer start.
How did they get to the point from having too much starting pitching to having Varland start on a bullpen day???
Varland might just mess around and save the season, that change up combo with his fastball that he seems to have figured out lately is straight up nasty. Thank god he’s throwing less curveballs and more change ups
