  1. Is it just me or Wemby being T5 is kinda crazy? Like I’d put Brunson or Ant before him

  2. Wemby has done nothing to earn being 5th at this point. I’m sure he’ll get there someday but right now, at this moment, this is literally entirely based on hype, not what he’s actually done as a player.

  3. Wemby hasn’t proven anything I’m tired of people ranking ahead of players when bro can’t stay healthy a season

  4. For those shitting on Wemby, it’s based on next year’s *projection*, not anything he’s already done. The potential for DPOY and a 20/10 season seems about right to me, which would land him here.

  5. Wemby has missed 29% of his NBA games so far. Barely played half the season last year. Top 5 his position sure. Top 5 in the league, needs to stay healthy first.

  6. Worth remembering this isn’t about current achievements or last year’s performance, it’s a projection of this year’s performance. A prediction. On that basis, I think it’s reasonable enough.

  7. LeBron has been better than curry for the past 5 years and they still put Curry above Bron on all these lists. I don’t understand it, is like banking on a declining Bron that never comes lol

  8. lol Steph above Bron and Luka/SGA above Giannis is crazy

Also, I like Ant…but huh? Put him somewhere closer to the bottom

  9. Not terrible but a few things I’d change.

    1. Jokic

    2. Giannis

    3. Luka

    4. SGA (2-4 all interchangeable tbh)

    5. Ant

    6. Brunson

    7. Bron

    8. Curry

    9. Wemby (Could be as high as 7)

    10. KD

  10. SGA is #1

Coming off an injured year is a weird time to put wemby top 5

LeBron and Durant are not top 10 anymore.

  11. Nah.

I have different criteria, and that leads to a markedly different order:

    * what have you proven you can do? what have you accomplished?
    * have you declined/improved? or are you just as good/bad as the previous season?

Hence, Giannis is just as good as he was when he first entered the “best player” convos years ago. His teams have just been worse.

Wemby has a great chance of being “the best,” but he’s unproven, still very young, and hasn’t really figured out his game.

SGA just did so, so, so much. He and Jokic were either 1 or 2 for most statistical rankings accolades, but SGA is also a two-way savant and has more ballhandling responsibility.

Luka had a down year last year.

And so on, and so on.

    My list is more like…

    1. SGA
    2. Giannis
    3. Jokic (lacking defensively)
    4. Luka
    5. ANT

  12. ESPN is setting up LA for the “So the Lakers have 2 top 10 players and cannot win” comments

  13. So you telling me….. Jalen Williams being ranked at 11 is THAT much closer to all THESE guys??????????????
