TLDR – Vaughan tops the list with 1.9 WAR, and Priester in second with 1.7 WAR

  1. I’m sorry WAR is such a dumb stat, if that is Priester’s WAR, his team has won 19 straight starts and he is 13-2 with a 3.25 ERA with excellent peripheral numbers.

  2. This is the way to do it, trade when there’s an opportunity, don’t wait for the deadline. Also this buzz around Suarez this year but by the time he was actually traded, Priester was already dominating and Vaughn hit his fourth game tying double in a row.
