Behind the Scenes at Vancouver Canucks Training Camp 2025 | Canucks Army Vlog
[Music] I don’t mind the crows mess as long as you’ve driven it before. I have. I went with someone who never drove it before and they were whipping around every corner and just like flying and um Okay. Yeah, we can we can do that. Totally up to you. I’m indifferent. We can stop and hope then if you want. Yeah, if if that’s the case, we’ll probably just stop and hope. Life’s got going sideways up and down the highways. All we do is swerve, swerve, swirl. Life’s got us going left and right, side to side on the daily. We do swerve, swerve, swerve. Okay, let’s go over this dock. Um, do you need me to pull up the scheduleuler? I have it open. Um, and Jeff had a ratu, which is a good idea. Yeah, I just I want to sort of catch up a little bit. Um, how close was he to returning Dallas through his lineup? Uh, what was it like to watch a championship run but not be able to compete? So, there’ll be a little bit of backtracking, but we just haven’t had a chance to talk to him. So, um, you know, I think he’s going to be a focal point of camp here and can bleed into looking forward, but I just got a few sort of loose ends I want to tie up. And also one of the biggest stories of camp last year, like how how good he was. Sherwood here as well. Yeah. I I’m kind of curious because at I remember talking to him about in Abbottzford after the preseason game in Abbottzford last year and he was used as a penalty killer in that game and we talked a little bit about have you done any and he was like not at this level but you I think my skill sets there I kind of want to fast forward 12 months because he ended up doing a fair bit of penalty killing you know what did he learn and I think he’s in consideration to take on uh considerably more penalty killing duties for this team this year. So, uh that’s kind of an angle at some point here this week that I want to sort of tackle. Mhm. Okay. I like this. This is looking good. I’ll have the live blog tomorrow. Uh you’re on some sort of takeaways. You’re going to have some sort of editorial/feature. I’m hoping my patera story can go tomorrow. It might have to go Friday, but we are well stocked for content it looks like for the next few days. So yeah, let’s go crush it tomorrow. [Music] [Music] David, let’s start. Group A, group B, group C. We’ve split them into groups. Tell us a little bit about each. Yeah, so group C started today. That’s going to be every year. It’s your junior guys. It’s your AHL kind of lifers, as I like to call them. But some interesting names for group A and group B. You can kind of start to see some line combinations even though we haven’t seen them on the ice yet. You can kind of formulate what you’re going to see. [Music] [Music] Hello Kucks fans. Welcome back to another episode of Kucks Conversation. My name is David Grellelli. I’m joined by Harmon Dial. Day one of Kucks training camp is in the books and harm some big focus on systems as you and I were just talking about beforehand. Now, we did the live blog at Kucks Army. I know you guys are going to cover this at the athletic as well, but a big focus of day one of camp right into the X’s and O’s was we’re going to create off the rush. We saw defenseman jumping up in the rush in a lot of drills. Uh the defensive zone stuff is I think what we’re going to talk about the most to start. All right, day two of training camp. We’re getting ready to create a bunch more content. Some things we’re looking for today. It was hard to track down Yuri Peter yesterday, so we didn’t get our Yuri Peter exclusive. We’re heading out to the South Ogon Event Center in about 20 minutes. Going to look to chat with Yuri Peter. But the thing that was so hard about yesterday was that it was so busy. There were so many things going on and trying to get Harmon and I’s timelines to line up to be able to go do convo after doing all of our web duties that we have. It became tough. So today, day two, we’re looking for time management. That’s the theme of day two. [Music] They were humming. I mean, Besser Besser had a really good practice. Py looked good. Um, you know, there’s some things you everyone’s got strengths and weaknesses. Like that last really you can see it’s really really hard on guys, but that’s normal. um you’re not used to in the summer, the physical part of it, right? Uh and you’ve kind of got to do those things just it’s hard to do that in the summertime and uh get get feels like touches like that. But I like the way we transition from each drill into uh tracking to rush and pick up. So, um, I thought it was really good. [Music] This is our setup for Kucks Combo. Got two patio chairs. Using our road kit and uh some furniture from inside the house to keep my laptop and our audio interface. We got the camera set up here, the umbrella and a blanket just for a little bit of shade. Uh and as you can see, just from inside the house right into the backyard. Making it work. Making it work. But the shot looks amazing with the fence, the tree, colorful chairs, behind the scenes of how to set up an episode of Kucks Conversation. Well, on the road. It’s not concerning, but it’s just one of those areas where I don’t know if he has NHL caliber. Like any player that’s in the NHL has elite puck control and that’s just still an area where because he’s 20 years old and still so young probably needs a little bit of uh refinement. All right, day two has come to a close. So got Event Center behind us. Going to play a round of golf. See if I can break 100. We’ll see if it’s possible. But uh I’m riding with JPAT in the cart. So I feel like my theory is playing with better players makes you better. So Jeff’s a good golfer. I’ll ride with Jeff. I’ll be good today. Baseball swing warm up. I do do that every time. Sunscreen on the hands. All right. Yeah. All right. Here we go. Nope. driver. Yeah. Well, at least it’s straight. That’s right. Nervous driver. Oh, come back. Come back. You’re good. You’re good. Just didn’t see where it went. Like, I know it’s on the right. Yeah. It didn’t come to the all the way to the fairway. Jad’s about to show us all up, isn’t he? Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Boom. Oh yeah, Jeff. Yeah, that’s about as good as it gets. Oh my gosh. Yeah. Leave your comments now on who you think wins this round. [Music] Day number three here at Kox Training Camp 2025. Uh scrimmage is just about to start. Let’s go check it out. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]
