Titans-Broncos Postgame: instant reaction after a Week One disgusting loss to Broncos
What’s up? A Toz Sports Live here. Titan game day live postgame show. The Titans start the season 0 and one dropping to the Broncos 20 to2 the final score. We are here to react to all of the nonsense that was that game. It was okay until about 47 seconds left in the first half and then it was never okay again. It was gross. It was disgusting. Cam Ward got crushed. Brian Callahan was terrible at times. Dumb penalties by the defense led by Mr. Captain Gold Captain, mind you. Jeffrey Simmons and the Titans lose a very winnable game where the Broncos had four turnovers. The Titans had just as many penalty yards as they did offensive yards. So JT, we’re here to react to a lot of this, but first tell the people what they got to do before we officially get going here on our first postgame show of this 2025 season. Yeah, what a game to follow up our first postgame show, right? Like this is going to be this is going to be a very fun one. I can just already tell looking at the comments. But in between your frivolous YouTube and Facebook comment fingers typing away your very aggravated thoughts about this game, do us a favor. Hit the like button, like the show. Make sure you’re subscribed to the A Toz Sports YouTube channel. Make sure you’ve liked the A Toz Sports Facebook page so you never miss a second of content we’re bringing you here. Uh hopefully better content in the next couple of weeks and hopefully after a Titans win or two because today was rough like you said after after 47 from the beginning of the game to the 47 second mark in the uh second quarter. It was good. It was all right. It was solid football. The Titans were doing everything that right, but I’m sure we’re going to be talking more about what happened afterwards than before. So, 100%. All right, let’s get it going. Officially, welcome to DD Sports as our Titan postgame show. Uh, we got to thank our sponsors here before we officially get going. I’m Austin Stanley. He is JT Runkey on the show. First, got to thank our sponsors. XGolf in Nashville, Murphx.com where you can play, train, and entertain. BTA Sports. Lipkcom University and their sports analytics grad program, an online degree for your passion. And the Barrel Social Club, the countdown is on. The Kentucky Poker Open returns to the Barrel Social Club this October. the barrelsocialclub.com for more info. That was gross. Um, that was really bad. So, it was very I I don’t know. I’m trying to think. It was about as frustrating as last year’s week one loss to the Bears, except there was one person to put that on the shoulders of last year and Will Levis with his three turnovers. Bo Nicks looked a lot like Will Levis, but with spiked tear uh out there today with his three turnovers, a muffed punt for a fourth Broncos turnover. And the Titans got a measly six points off of those four turnovers. Uh and Tony Pard had a turnover himself, not counting any turnover on downs. So, the hard thing about this particular game, and we’ll get to our our reaction. We’ve got several segments to get through one word. We’ll grade Cam Ward’s performance. We’ll talk about the analytic dive into that game and we’ll talk about who had the hot hand that ruined the opportunity for the Titans uh to win that game uh because it was a very winnable game. But JT overall your uh initial reaction to the Titans losing that game uh in a 20-2 final where they had so many chances to take the lead or just flat out win. Yeah, I I mean, listen, I think the first half, you can definitely say that that was a winnable half that was thrown away by Brian Callahan for sure with his play calling, but that second half, make no mistake, it is a it is not just Brian Callahan. That was top to bottom a a bad throwing away of chances from the offense to the play calling to the penalties to the defense. It was you you could see just the the momentum continue to shift ever so slightly more to the Broncos with each passing snap because the when you have a defense who’s keeping you in a game when your offense can’t do anything once again against probably one of the toughest defenses they’re going to face this year when you can’t get anything going this Titans defense kept them in in it for a long time but when you get to the 47 second mark in the second quarter the Broncos get the ball in favor able position, you start running out of gas. And this defense was never able to fully recover both with their energy and also uh on the injury report. A lot of different injuries that we’ll get to. A lot of different conversations we’ll have to have about the secondary going forward. But just all around, this is this is a a team loss. This is a bad team loss. It it’s not just one part of the machine. This is the entire machine breaking down slowly over the course of 60 football minutes and that’s how you lose the a very winnable game. And I think that’s like like look I think most of people who follow the Titans whether you’re a Titans fan, a Titans media member, you expected the Titans to lose the game against the Broncos before kickoff, right? The Broncos were a playoff team a year ago. The Broncos have arguably the number one defense in the entire NFL. They led the the NFL in sacks on opposing quarterbacks last season with 63. And so you understand you’re in their spot. It’s Kam Ward’s first game and you’re like, look, it’s okay if the Titans lose this game that the spread was eight and a half. The Titans covered, right? But here’s what’s so maddening is because the Titans had so many opportunities to actually do something and shock the NFL because they played well in several areas, but they played so critically bad in the important ones that they couldn’t get out of their own way. And at one point I tweeted JT, I said, “This is a must.” It was after the muff punt. I said, “The Titans must win this game. The Broncos are giving it to you. The Broncos tried so hard to give it to you and you would not literally catch it. You could not catch the ball that the Broncos were tossing to you. Soft toss. So, it was It’s embarrassing to watch. It’s frustrating. I don’t want to be frustrated and mad and screaming and just being like, “What the hell?” and cursing in my house on a Sunday evening. Yet, here we are and we got 16 more of these things to go. And I it Brian Callahan deserves to be questioned strongly. I think he’s putting his bosses in a really bad spot. Um and it is he’s got to be embarrassed. I can’t wait to see what he says at the postgame show. Jeffrey Simmons, Mr. captain look tweeted once after he had the first first down he gave up by penalty in the first quarter and then he gave the game away basically with the stupid shoving of a uh defender after the wi of the the ball carrier after the whistle as honory as the the ref was blowing that whistle and throwing that flag. Jeffrey Simmons still continues to do dumb stuff to hurt his football team. And he has a captain’s patch that is gold on his chest. Means he’s been a fivetime captain. He’s embarrassing to look at as a five-time captain. He plays great until he does dumb stuff to hurt his team. And he’s got to own up to that and quit doing it. So, anything else to respond to that? Can we Can we start there? I think that’s where I want to start wi with with this game. You you spend all off season talking about wanting to limit the self-inflicted negatives since as Brian Callahan said you in you revamp your entire offseason program spending over four months of the offseason trying to do that one thing stop the self-inflicted negatives and then you come out in your first game I I play calling is play calling Cam Ward’s debut is Cam Ward’s debut drops are drops but You come out after having preaching for four and a half months about trying to get rid of penalties, trying to get rid of those self-inflicted negatives and your team still almost has more penalty yards than actual allpurpose offensive yards today at some point. I think what what do we say there? Like we can say that it continue is is is just the the coaching staff. But like for me I get the sense that like I don’t know they’ve tried like they spent six five six months trying to help this team just stop making penalties. You know who else is at fault here? The head coach. The absolutely with self-inflicted negatives by whatever the nonsense was at the end of the first half with 47 seconds because this is how big points are, right? Because the Titan had a six-3 lead. They should have gone to halftime with a six-3 lead. Yet bizarre stuff happens and it’s 10 to nine Broncos because Callahan messes up the on your own sevenyard line sequence. Tim DK bails him out with a big kicker turn. Joyce Sly, who was the only consistently accurate good thing for the Titans all day long, hits his third field goal and you’re just down one. But then you take another lead 12-10 right after a Bick’s interception uh to start the second half. What if what if that touchdown never happened? You gifted the br the head coach gifted the Broncos their first touchdown of the game and Bo Knicks was playing terrible. I I think the head coach is is really right up there. Like I I don’t understand how he is the one who started the sins uh committing uh today after it was his program that they went through all summer. Yeah. I mean it is a it is a all I just think it’s I think it’s very funny that this team is continuing after making a big focal point of their entire off seasonason to do that. And we’re about to get to other things and and more comments in a second. I there’s a lot of people watching this show. We appreciate all of you guys. There’s well over a thousand people watching right now. So, if you can hit that like button for us, that’s a big deal uh for us as a company and as a channel on Facebook and on YouTube. Uh but you people are saying like who like Jeffrey Simmons was due to be frustrated because uh when and you know it was a they carried Jeff was the reason why the Titans were in the game so you can get away with that penalty and the Titans still got the ball back anyway. No, that’s stupid because you have to have game awareness. Situational awareness is everything. And Jeffrey Simmons doesn’t have it. Neither does the head coach. I don’t know what Cam Ward didn’t have it really at all. Uh especially after the muff punt taking two big sacks. Oludo is in there at right tackle. JC Leam went out with a hip injury. That’s concerning. Dan Moore doesn’t have any situational awareness. There’s so Calvin Ridley surely doesn’t have it either. So like this this team, they’re just lacking things between the ears on how to go about just taking advantage of moments and it’s so so frustrating. So uh let’s go ahead and get to our first question of this postgame show, which is always one word. What is one word to describe the Titans loss today to the Broncos? 20-2 was the final score. Uh there was 195 comments since I asked the question. JT, uh, good luck with your first big oneword in the postgame show. So, uh, have at it. Yeah. COS66 kicks us off saying, “Pathetic.” Stephen says, “Coaching, self-inflicted, drops, lost.” That’s very, very evident. Unacceptable. 2024. Sane, dropped, undisiplined, it says skip. Infuriating, gross, sloppy, frustrating. Once again, failed. O line failed Cam as well as Cali. One word. Same. Mesmerized. Unsurprising. Reality. Familiar. Penalties. Idiotic. Expected. Meltdown. Heartbreaking. Pathetic. Pathetic seems to be the big one. Here’s the first one that I thought would be more pre prevalent and probably is as I still crawl scroll down. Coaching. Ronan Q says disappointing. Matt says one word. Titans. Titans football. Uh David Allen says inexcusable. Uh, Brandon with a with a big word here. Forboating. Matthew Liry. Levy says, “Uh, unsurprising.” Jason coaching. Nolan regular. Titans fanatic 78 says, “Callahant. Frustrating, self-inflicted, missed opportunity, pain, inept, dysfunctional.” Any different type of word that you can use there for, uh, just not being able to work out. So, uh, JT, I have my one word. Would you like to go first or would you like me to go first? I can go first. And it’s along the lines of a lot of people in the chat. My one word, and I don’t know actually if this is one word, but it like it’s a it’s a phrase. My mine is Can it be hyphenated? I think it can be hyphenated. Okay. I would hyphenate it. Uh my one word is deja vu. Does that count? We’ll count it. Okay. It’s It’s a gray area, but you know, let’s start off my first pre pregame show with a gray area one. It’s six letters. Yeah. Well, um I I this team was very reminiscent of the 2024 team that went three and 14. I keep coming back to the idea of JC Laam in training camp talking about how this team I in in camp in the preseason games and whatever it was was making thing making mistakes and making them feel like they were reminiscent of the three and 14 team they were just a year ago. this today felt exactly the same from the mishandling of play calls to the penalties to just some of the dumb mistakes that not being able to capitalize on big situations. It felt very much like a team that threw away a lot of opportunities just like last year’s team did. And I think that’s where we stand today that this team and when you talk about, you know, all these guys, big Jeff still making these these dumb decisions like Calvin Ridley making these drops, this team not capitalizing. This team, it’s still just not a competitive team. And I know it sucks to lose like that, but still, I think we have we’re still where we were last year. And hopefully it’s going to get better, but that’s where this team is still last year. penalties, dumb mistakes, and not capitalizing on the big opportunities. Deja vu is a good one. Um, my one word is sabotage because that is exactly what the Titans did to themselves. And like I don’t know if you can name a person on the like you can name a few people that had limited roles in the game that were that were solid, right? But so many people did dumb stuff to hurt the team. Whether it’s James Williams getting a penalty after a good punt return by Chim DK or Jeffrey Simmons having two penalties for 20 yards that gave the Broncos two first downs uh that on third down. Both of them won third down to convert first downs. Then you’ve got Cam Ward. I I feel like the the last play of the game for Cam Ward, the fourth down, I got to go back and watch it, but I feel like he got back to the the the end of his drop. Feel like he stopped playing like he heard a whistle. I don’t know what happened there, but that was a weird thing. Uh but there’s, you know, Cam Ward’s not at fault with this. Calvin Ridley’s got to catch the damn football. Like the one seam route where he like went full diving into the safety’s legs. Like I I’m TW. People are fighting me on Twitter because I’m saying that was a hospital ball from Cam Ward. It was a hospital ball from Cam Ward. That thing was high over the middle going fast in the lap of a safety and Ridley went full extension and hit off his fingertips and he would dove to the ground. It was a hospital ball. In 2005, he would be in the hospital with like a broken neck. But that’s not If Seawn Taylor was back there, it wouldn’t go very well for Calvin Ridley. It was a bad decision. It was a talented throw, but a bad throw by Cam Ward. But the other ones that Calvin Woodley dropped are insane. He’s got to catch the freaking football. It’s crazy. It’s crazy that he can’t hang on to it. Yeah, Tony Pard’s fumbling now. Again, he ended last season fumbling the football. Now he’s fumbling again. Dan Moore was terrible. Gunnar Helen got put one-on-one at defensive end. It didn’t go very well. Shawn Peyton’s super annoying, by the way. But sabotage. Sabotage is my one word. Jarvis Brownley Jr. I forgot to bring him up. Four. I hope he’s okay. But four penalties on Jav Jarvis Brownley Jr. is what somebody said in the chat. Just doing stupid stuff. I’m surprised four penalties and there should have been another one for pass interference called. Yeah, for sure. And he had one where he got a tackle on a run play around the line of scrimmage. did the thing where he suplexed the guy, but it wasn’t that big of a move and he got away with it because he did that in the preseason game and got penalized. So sabotage is my one word. This team cannot get out of their own way. And I I wonder if I’m trying to think if there are head coaches in the NFL right now who would strip Jeffrey Simmons of his captain’s patch. Probably not. Mike Mike Vrabel didn’t do it, right? Because this stuff was happening under Vrael, right? Yes. This is just who Jeffrey Simmons is. But he can’t be the leader of your team if he keeps doing this. Like that. I hated the the penalty call by the refs. I thought he was weak. But Jeff Simmons was stupid in that moment. Correct. You cannot and and we’ve seen this for years. For years. Hotheaded. hands in the face, the penalty on the field goal that uh gave uh the a first down to the Jets, I think it was, or a couple years ago. I wonder I wonder if there are if there are sitting NFL head coaches that would strip him of his captain’s patch because of how stupid he is in moments. He’s a great player because he wrecked Bo Nicks’s day. Bo Nick was awful because of Jeffrey Simmons. He’s a great player, but he’s not the leader or a captain that this team needs. And I think that’s a discussion that we’ve had for some time. It’s a discussion that we’ll continue to have. I I I think you’re actively seeing this team try to find other leaders, whether it is through Cody Barton uh being a a free agent signing and coming in and immediately being a captain, Cam Ward being a captain, getting some of these younger guys to buy in to what they’re doing. It wasn’t going to happen overnight and it’s still not going to happen for for a while. It takes time. These things take time. But I do agree that yes, it’s it’s not a good look when Jeffrey Simmons is still the guy on there with with the cap as the one of the main captains and doing stuff like this because he is because he has continued to do this year and year and year and year after each one. And it’s just at at some point like I guess you could say like is that the right move maybe but like don’t give it to him in the first place. I think you’re right. Well and that and that’s the thing about having your team vote having the players vote on captains is that it’s going to go where it goes. Right. Ray school says Simmons is a defensive version of Lean. If you remember Ken Wizhunt took the captain’s patch away from Lean but that was Taylor Lewan’s second year in the NFL. He wasn’t ready to be a captain. And Kim Wnut is not exactly the best example to use of a head coach tripping some Cathine’s patch away because Kim Wiznaugh wasn’t exactly successful here. He was really bad. Uh yet has won five games and Brian Callahan’s still three and now 15 in his record. Kizen Hunt was well he was I’ll have to I’ll have to go back because he got fired midway through second year. I think they might have he might have won only four games as a coach. I’ll have to check that. But, uh, Callahan’s not very far off of how bad Wendy was from the win loss record. Very different personalities, though. Um, I Yeah, but like Jeffrey Simmons, this is what year it was a 2019 draft pick. This is year seven in the NFL and he’s still doing the same stuff over and over. It’s it’s it is his DNA. Yes, he cannot stop himself and it always happens in the biggest moments. All right. Uh, a Toz Sports here live on our Titan Game Day postgame show. Uh, having a uh, interesting show over uh, overall because that game was uh, just so crazy. I keep using the word maddening. I don’t want to overuse that word, but that’s what kind I felt like the my the soul was just being sucked out of my body as it continued on. I think Yeah, for me personally, for sure. All right, next conversation we’re going to get into. What was the drive of the game that had the most impact on the final score? What was the drive of the game that had the most impact on the final score? I’m actually really curious at what this answer is going to be because I think there’s several options. Yes. Uh on this. So, uh what was the drive of the game that had the most impact on the final score that was 20 to 12? Uh Broncos beat the Titans. But first, let me tell you guys about Bero Carts. Life is too short. just go buy a golf cart. We could all use some happiness in our life. The only time you see unhappy people on a golf cart is when they’re on like the back nine, but if you buy a golf cart from Moto, that’s like a street cart. We’re not talking about how frustrated you are with your golf game. We’re talking about being happy. Everybody’s happy on a golf cart when they’re driving around the neighborhood. Uh, I said this a week or so ago that I was getting brunch or picking up food or something like that and I saw this family of four pull up in the parking lot, park in the front door right there in a golf cart. I’m like, man, that looks awesome. They’re having a great time. Bottos is the place to go in Nashville. They got two locations in Gallatin and the brand new location in Columbia, Tennessee to serve you. How about this? 0% financing for 36 months. That’s three full years for 0% financing. Their carts start at $6,700. They’re open seven days a week, including today. Uh there’s no dealer fee, no credit card fee, so that helps you out quite a bit as well. And their carts are stored indoors to stay away from that inclement weather that we all know and love to hate in Nashville. Bottoarts.com is where to check them out. Yeah, let’s get into I guess some of the drives here that people think was the drive of the game. We start off with Nolan who says the end of the first half, biggest point swing. Uh, Walter says before the half. Oo says not scoring after the muffed punt. King VC also says after the muffed punt. Sorry. Uh, fumbled punt followed by two sacks for no points. Cam words burner. The two sacks by Cam when we already were in field goal range. Gary says the end of half. Darren’s just going with all of them. All the damn drives. Derek says three plays for minus 27 yards. So that one with two sacks there. Joshua says end of first half. Tighten up Ohio says the drive before the second half. Three pass plays. Uh in your own end zone on the one there. Uh the drive after Denver muff the punt. Tyler taking two sacks to take the team out of field goal range. Steve fumbled punt and getting nothing. The drive after the fumble punt. So it sounds like th those are the the two. It’s it’s either before the the end of the half or the muffed punt. What do you think? Um, but is there a third option? Do you in your opinion? Because I mean I there’s no doubt that the one I mean the most impact I guess because after the muff punt was what was that still 13 to 12? Yes. So you had a chance to just do something simple and kick a field goal and you’re okay to take the lead. So, I guess that’s probably the answer. Don’t you think? And the Pard fumble is a good one from Cam. Yeah, that’s a good one, too. I I have a hard time saying that that one the the one where Cam gets sacked twice because at the end of the day, like as much as Cam looked good, some of that was on him. You can’t hold on to the ball that long. You got to get rid of it. You got to, you know, at least even on that, it didn’t have to be on him, but it’s more like what had the most impact on the final score. Yeah. I I think if you’re talking about the most impact on the final score, I think it’s easily the fir the uh the one right before the first half. It’s the biggest point swing in the entire game. Up three to down one. Yeah. I mean it it you can’t like instead of being able to find a way to close out the half there, you you get them back. And that’s also like not factoring in what Chim DK did afterwards, right? like that that outside of that the the first half from letting them score like that is the biggest drive. It’s the biggest changing move of the entire game because yes, it’s it’s unfortunate that Cam Ward and that offense were not able to get points out of that opportunity. But once again, like I understand what happened there. Cam’s a rookie. Like those mistakes are going to happen. You just kind of have to live with them. And so like was it going to make all the difference in the world? No. I think it makes a heck of a lot more difference that they were able to score a touchdown with 27 seconds or something left in the half. Yeah. Yeah. I I think I think I agree. Now, I do the the Tony Pard fumble was was is a good one to to bring up because it was 33. It was after the first Bonick’s interception. Uh you had second and six and Pard was running. You were not you were just inside the 39. So just inside the 40. So you weren’t you were like fringe field goal range, but you got to think that that’s a great opportunity to go up 63 or 103 uh there. You know, I man there’s all there’s another good one too because after the after the Bon Knicks fumble, the sack fumble when you had what was what did you what did they get down to to the Denver? So it was uh yeah third and goal at the three after Chestnut got down to the three yard line. third and goal at the three and you end up getting sacked and settled for a field goal uh to go up six to three. So you had two opportunities tied at three to get in the end zone and couldn’t do either of them. So there’s a lot of missed I mean there’s so many the drive of the game options are are near endless. But I do have to agree with you. I think it’s it’s the it’s the big one there in the the fourth quarter. How about this? All right. I I gotta do this because I gotta be validated. I just got texted from a a former NFL player, JT. This former NFL player texts me during the show says, “I’m so glad you tweeted that about Cam. His football comes out high and hot often. That safety was going to tear his face off if Calvin had caught that. The same exact type of pass that Van had in Atlanta. I love the fact that a former NFL player tweeted that or texted that to me because that is exactly correct.” So, look, Calvin’s got to catch all the other ones, but Cam Ward has a problem. You know, there many problems. I like Cam Ward a lot. And it was not Taylor Lewan. No, Randy. Randy Lewan does not have my number. I don’t want Lewan to have my number. Sounds like a bad experience. But Cam Ward’s problem is that he is so talented with his arm that he’s arrogant in where he can place the football. I agree. He throws the football to where it is on the receiver, right? The receiver can touch it, but it’s not catchable. Like you and he’s got to learn that. Yeah. I think there’s a lot of there was a lot of good things that happened for Cam Ward today. Certainly. I think there was even I I I don’t want to say like that. I see a lot there’s a lot of people on on Twitter and online saying like Cam he has it and I think that is like I think that is fair like I think I agree with them that he has it but I think he also did some things that were you know did a little bit more bad than good. I think there’s a lot of balls that could have been placed better. The decision-m uh in terms of when to throw the ball, holding on to it too long, but then you also saw some of the things that make him really special to start off the start off the game. That pass to Tony Pard escaping, you know, escaping out of the pocket. I think it’s it it’s interesting to look at this game and as I go back and I I recall a lot of what went well for the Titans on offense. A lot of it was when Cam Ward got outside the pocket and just kind of made plays on the fly. You look at um the one to Tony Pard. You look at the one to Calvin Ridley where they where he tries to extend for the third down, but like those things only happen because he played out of structure. It’s the stuff that is happen happening in structure that still needs to to be worked on. And I I I don’t think it’s all just this one game. Once again, like this this this secondary they went up against and this defense is really really good. So, I’m not I’m not surprised whatsoever that Cam Ward had a really rough go of it against one of the better defenses and one of the better schemes in the league. Not to mention, like we said, Dan Moore wholly burning money out of the pockets right now because of what what what he did. I I don’t know what he earns on a per snap basis for this team on that contract, but it was it was a waste of money from his egregious penalties to some of the plays. I mean, start the start of the game on the first run of the game, he gets beat off the edge and the Titans are already behind the sticks. Like, that’s just I missed that first play because JT told me the game was on CBS. My bad. I was sitting there watching CBS the end of the the Jets Steelers game and I’m like of course Cam Ward’s gonna be the least talked about number one overall pick and his first snap gets buried behind the end of this game and I’m like oh it’s Fox JT had me sitting on CBS for the first the kickoff and the first snap. No, I’m kidding. Uh but that did happen. So let’s go ahead and get into it while we’re doing this. Uh and grade Cam Ward. So how do you grade Cam Ward in his debut? Uh, we’re kind of jumping right into that conversation organically anyway, so we might as well ask you guys to give your grade there, too. Uh, so, how do you grade Cam Ward in his NFL debut? I’ll go through the numbers. They are not pretty, but I think we understand there are many, many drops that should have made that uh, a little better. So, he was 12 of 28 passing. Uh, I will get my calculator out and figure out what that completion rate is because it’s not good. It’s under 50%. I know that much. He was 12 of 28 passing for 112 yards. Uh, and he had sacked five, I’m sorry, six sacks for a total of 50 yards. So, a 42.8 uh% completion rate for Cam Ward. Not good. Very bad. But I don’t know how many I don’t know how many drops there actually were. Um, because there were many from Calvin Ridley. There were at least like two or three from Ridley. the one the Chig on the seam that was around the same time as Ridley’s on the seam. I don’t count those as a drop because again hot high I was going to say the I if you count if you don’t count the the Calvin one I don’t think you can count the Chig one on the next play. It was the same exact type of ball. Yeah, for sure. But there were there were several drops and like getting sacked six times is one thing, but losing 50 yards when you get sacked six times to where your net passing yards is 62 yards, that flat out cannot happen. So, uh, make sure you hit the like button if you’re watching the show on Facebook and on YouTube. JT, I’ll send you the chat. A lot of grades, uh, are in there from the audience here on Cam Ward’s debut. Yeah, Billy’s going to start us off with probably the most positive one of the day. He’s going with a B. And then we get Lucas bringing us all the way down with an F. We get a couple C minus C, D plus C, C. True. Back up with a B there. C minus C plus D minus B minus C plus D minus C minus A lot of C’s D plus D plus C plus C D plus if that exists I guess you have to check your local school district C plus C minus C plus Gary I’m skipping over that one C C B minus D plus C we’re we’re averaging a C I think is fair to Got C++, B C. Yeah, C minus. Is that where you’re around? I think it’s a C minus. I think it got worse as it went on. Yes, I would agree with that. Now, he didn’t really Doesn’t help when his offensive line gets worse. I will say Yeah, I will say this. If if I’m giving Cam Ward a C minus, I’m giving everybody around him way worse of a grade than he did. Like I think Lloyd Cushenberry and Cam Ward might get the highest grades of the Titans offensive players. Yeah, I I think that that’s probably fair. I Lloyd Cushenberry was probably the only guy we didn’t talk about. I don’t know. Kevin Zitler’s probably up there. I don’t know. Was there a penalty against Zeitler? Yeah, Zitler had a false Zeitler had the false start. That’s it. Zeitler had the false start right before the Tony Pard fumble. I see. Okay. So, yeah. And then Peter Scransky, I think, had a holding and he got declined. Yes. Lloyd Cushenberry, the only guy not being talked about. So, the the tandem under center had the best day. And that’s like, can you give Lloyd Cushenberry probably like a C+ for doing the bare minimum? Is that where you are? Like I don’t know. Yeah. And like Ojo says DK was balling. DK gets an A from Stephen. Like Yeah. DK was good, but I mean on offense. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. On offense, you know, he I think he ran the route incorrectly on one of the seams because Cam was like, “Yo, bend it.” Uh, you know, the the end. That’s very fair. Like that’s also another part of this. Once again, we have to realize that this is a lot of the core parts of this wide receiver core are young. like DK IO Manor. We’ll get into that that and if he was an X-factor or not. Spoiler alert, probably not. But like the these guys like we were they were struggling out there on a couple route concepts and I think that’s another part of it that yeah, when we talk about play calling, it’s not sometimes obviously there’s a lot to be put on Brian Callahan, but also you got a lot of new young players trying to do this for the first time against a gauntlet of a defense. Yeah. And Devin says Paul was their best player on offense easily. Yeah. But he fumbled in plus territory. And so when you look at it, if you’re talking about all these young guys, right, Cam Ward, even JC Laam, who left with with a hip injury, people asking about what happened to JC Laam left with a hip injury. So you got all these young guys across the offense. Yet your two veterans had some pretty bad moments. Tony with the fumble, Ridley with the drops. Chig. Actually, I think Chig played a nice game. Uh, you know, hey, Chig with three catch. Three catches for 19 yards is all he had because it feels like way more. Who was the leading receiver today? Tony Pard, one catch for 29. That’s That’s brutal. That’s bad. Cannot have that. I’ll just keep on going. Tony Pard, one catch for 29. That happened on the third and 11. Uh Calvin Ridley had four for 27 yards on eight targets. Uh, Chig had three for 19 on four targets. Gunnar Helm had one for 16 on two targets. I think that first catch was I think that was probably that should have been y a call stands not confirmed maybe. Um, but just one catch for 16 for Gunnar Helm. I Manor had two catches for 13 yards on seven targets. Bryce Oliver one for eight. Tyler Lockett zero catches one target. Chim zero catches one target. That’s it. Yeah, that that that’s tough. And I mean certainly even against a good defense, you have to have a better passing day than that. Like that is barebones bad. Bottom of the barrel. That That’s not good at all. So, we have a couple more segments to get to before the end. Uh, and so we have a hot hand segment that we’re going to call uh here, but we’re going to go to the super chats for that because uh you’ll get it here in a second because these comments are putting their chips in there uh because our segment is provided by our friends at the Barrel Social Poker Club. It is in Kentucky just over the Tennessee line and the countdown is on. The Kentucky Poker Open returns to the Barrel Social Club in October. It’s real poker with real players at the Barrel Social Club, Kentucky and Tennessee’s poker destination. You can check it out. It’s just 45 minutes north of downtown Nashville, just 15 minutes south of Bowling Green. The Kentucky Poker Open Series runs from October 2nd to 12th. So, it’s the 2nd to 12th. It’s 12 poker tournaments with over $100,000 in guaranteed prize pools. Tournament buyins range from 250 bucks to 600 bucks. Cash games run every single day and it resets every single day. So, I asked this question uh to our our team there at the Barrel Social Club. 12 to 2nd to 12th. You have to be the whole time. No, it’s you could show up on one day of the week. One day at the Kentucky Poker Open and play and that’s all you got to do. So, take advantage of that at the barrelsocial.com for the Kentucky Poker Open uh on October 2nd through the 12th, the Kentucky Poker Open. The barrelsocial club.com. So, let’s get to some super chats because uh these guys threw their chips in on this one. Uh King V said, “Listen, we need wide receiver help. Lock in and like the show.” Shout out to King VC for the like glove. Uh Ryan Fields karma for giving up on lips. Cam is a bunk. That is a I appreciate the $1.99. Uh all right, TLG. I mean, damn. This game was the Spider-Man meme of the squandered Bears game last year. Kala trash ain’t it. Titans offensive play calling trash. If anything, it helped the Broncos defensive play faster. I I mean, I think it’s a pretty good comment. I think I don’t find the I think it’s fair. I I think it’s hard for me to say like going into it like I need to watch the game again and just be able to watch like what they were trying to do to get a full picture. But once again, your leading receiver today was Tony Pard with 29 yards on one reception. And that was the one where Cam Ward went out of his way out of the pocket, dunked it over to his, you know, the clear out or the uh checkdown route that he barely even saw. So like, yeah, not good. Uh I’m just I’m just going to I’m going to quote the uh the recent quote from uh Clemson head coach Davos Sweeney. It’s like taking the final exam on the first day of class. You know, nobody was great. They got a 65. We got a 58. I think the Titans the Titans got lower than a 58. I think the Broncos were not good either. I think the Broncos getting a 65 from Davos Sweeney is is accurate. U so yeah, that’s how I feel about that one. Uh Kendall says, “I want Dinard to be my head coach. Lock him in before he walks.” I I we’re going to hear this so many times. Dinard Wilson is a great defensive schemer. I It cannot get on right now. I I for head coach right now. No. Okay. So, do you disagree? I don’t know what the options would be. It would not be much better. Like Yeah. Yeah. I mean, like the only guy that’s got head coaching experience staff is Bill Callahan. We’re kicking his son out. So, yeah. So, I mean, Bones Fossil, would you make Bones Fossil the special teams coordinator the interim coach? Maybe. Um, that’s probably it because it’s not Nick Holtz either. Uh, so A comes in says, I no longer trust Callahan’s ability to turn this ship around and now desire a new head coach who is competent. You know what options you’d like? Love to see. Well, and I think here’s the hard thing because when I was on the show with Zack on Friday, we both thought six and 11 was the prediction for the season with the loss to the Broncos. And Zach’s wondering if that saves Callahan’s job. And I know for a fact the Tennessee Titans front office, Brian Callahan’s bosses, think that firing Brian Callahan’s the worst thing that could happen to Came Ward. But man, Brian Callahan is making them think really hard about that today because he was awful. No question. And that’s just the facts. I just saw somebody when I asked the question uh and yeah, that’s going to be another good one there. Like what when I asked the question, what’s the better option out there? The first one I saw was Art Smith. So yeah, Art Smith, John Gruden, and Mike McCarthy. That sounds like a great crop of young talent that’s going to take Cam Ward to the next. Hey, but like different topic, different day. All right. TLG says, “Dinard and Fossil have their boys ready to go minus the tipper tantrum Barbie aka Simmons. All that 5 a.m. prep ain’t do is for Cam’s timing to his receivers.” That’s a heated super chat if I ever seen that. Uh, all right. GBO says Callahan’s play calling and play designs are for are for teams with good offensive line play, leaving tackles on an island when they’ve been getting whooped. I mean, once again, I tend to agree here. Like, I’m going but but the Bengals, though, right? But the Bengals. Yeah, I the place he was at five years as the OC. It Here’s the thing, right? I think this offense works. But Joe Bur, this offense works when you have a guy who’s going to snap the ball, take two seconds, and throw it. Cam Ward did none of that today. Cam Ward was holding on to the ball. Like, that’s things that will need to quicken up with time. Once again, it’s his first game. So, I think we need a bigger sample size, and I know that it’s going to be the the overreaction today for sure. But, yeah, I I I agree with some of it. It’s all-encompassing. Yeah. Uh TLG says Dane Moore just earned a gold jacket first ballot entry to the finesse hall of fame by securing that contract. I cousins I I did tweet I did see a tweet from colleague here who’s at the game Eastston Freeze who said like this is kind of the Dan Moore experience though like he’s going to get his butt whooped by the best of the best but when it comes to playing you know league average defensive lines he’s going to hold his own. It just so happens that you played some of the best of the best this week and you’re going to play best of the best next week. So that’s what I’m saying. Like you took the AAP test like week one. Yeah. And like if you would have taken the AP test week 17 or week 18, then maybe you have a better chance of passing it, but now you’re about to learn all the things that you wish you knew here. Eco says, “Uh, would X have caught those passes to Ridley?” Hilarious, brother. X would not have gotten three yards off the line. Like X would have no separation. Maybe Rashreo would have made you mad at Cam Ward for overthrowing his receiver. Calvin Ridley touched the ball. Again, Calvin Ridley’s curse is that he’s too athletic for his own good because he can’t bring in the crazy circus catch most of the time, but he’s athletic enough to go touch it and to make you say, “Catch it. Touch your hand. You should catch the ball.” H. Uh, Ward is legit Donkeys fan and he left a goods impression. His composure is something else. Those drops could have changed the outcome. Rooting for Ward. All right. Uh, somebody’s been enjoying their Sunday. And then True Jones comes in says the Callahanss need to go. Coach trash line trash. Listen, I I do think that there’s a conversation that needs to be had that like here’s the thing and Bill Callahan is such a season pro at this point. Like we can ask him as how much why it’s not working and he’s going to say like we just need to get back in the classroom at some point. Like I’m going to get too frustrated at at that and say like that’s not enough. Like we there needs to be some accountability at some point. like maybe Eastston was right last year and I remember clowning him for this take that like Bill Callahan’s under immense pressure and I thought that was pretty like at the time was like not fair for Bill Callahan. Bill Callahan has been given every single op like every single tool at his disposal now. The pressure is absolutely on. Yeah. And again but like last year you like Nicholas Patif Frera is a walking that’s why I think it was unfair this year. Yeah. But this week it’s one game JC Leam got hurt now. And it’s against this opponent, right? Like it’s gonna not like ah I’m trying to, you know, I mentioned this to you last week on the show when we were talking about who was it? Who were we talking about playing where we were like they felt like they were dreaming? It was one of those dreams they can’t run. Yeah. I I forget. Who is we talking about? Oh, it’s gonna drive me crazy. But like or they they can’t run in your dream, but you have to run to get away from them. That’s what I feel like the the Titans were living today. The Broncos were just too fast. They couldn’t do it right. It was just not gonna work. That’s gonna drive me insane that I can’t remember who that is. I I’ll figure it out later. U overall get another super chat real quick from an uh postgame proof. Cali doesn’t know what a catch is. Uh, so I I saw a comment in the chat that Brian Callahan said something along the lines of one elbow does not equal two feet in reference to Ell’s sideline attempt at a catch where he got pushed out by um by Riley Moss, but his elbow came in and there was no challenge there. That’s what I’m guessing Ann is referencing. Uh, but I I thought to myself, I was like, here’s what the NFL has done. The NFL has made what is a catch, the answer to that, so confusing that I’m secondguing watching the game. Does one elbow equal two feet? Like like I I said that out loud in my office like to myself. Nobody else was in here. Yeah. And does one elbow count? Someone says elbow counts as a knee. Like here’s once again like pretty sure that that Gunner Helm catch should account, but we’re we’re debating exactly like how much control you have, right? And I think there’s also there’s also I I believe there’s another angle where it looks like he may have not had the elbow all the way in. So I I mean all these factors put in. I don’t know. Yeah, elbow counts as two feet. Uh a knee counts as two feet. So elbow equals a knee. So, if you I don’t know if you get one knee and an elbow, you get three points. I don’t know what it is, but uh and thank you, Carlos, for making my night more simple, who mentions it was Arch Manning that we were talking about who looked like he was having a game where he couldn’t run. Thank you. Thank you for making me more sane. So, uh yeah, I I’m very curious to see how the rest of that press conference went, what Brian Callahan said. I’m sure Zach and I will uh dissect it and throw shade all over it tomorrow morning on the the show at 8 am, but we do have the uh the postgame show to finish out here. So, uh speaking of Alec Iron Man, let’s go ahead and reset our uh pregame X factors to see how we did with that with xolf Nashville, xolf Murphy’sboro, and in Franklin, playxolf.com. If you’re looking for a here, here’s an idea. If you’re just going to be so mad at watching Titans games this year, then here’s what you do. Go to one of those 3x golf locations. It’s Nashville, it’s Murphy’sboro, and Franklin. And you can play on the best golf simulator on the market today while in a really cool sports bar where TVs are everywhere. They have a great food menu, a great bar setup, and you can just multitask and not be frustrated. So, playaxgolf.com is where to go. Uh, so, uh, JT, your X factor pregame was El Manor on offense, two catches, seven targets. Not great. No, but I will say that was a really tough It was a great effort on the sideline play. It was close. He also got interfered with um I think on that same play. Maybe it was another down the field attempt too and and didn’t get. Yeah, there was one or two that I think were drops where I can recall like seeing that and I was like that’s kind of the knock on on Elicia Manor. Like that was the drop. like those was that was his biggest issue coming out in the draft. There were some of those targets though that were not very catchable I would have to say. So like once again I it’s he was not an X factor today. Nobody in the passing game was an X- factor. So hard to say that in his place somebody else stepped up was not the case. Uh which brings us to the defensive side and boy what was your defensive back a factor again? Legarius need. Can we Well, apparently he was on a pitch count. Yeah, I I saw Terron Terron’s uh tweet. They played 19 of the first 46 uh defensive snaps and it felt like they were weighted towards the beginning of the game. And so I don’t know, pitch counts are so weird, like minute minute um trackers for like NBA players because it’s like, oh, do you want to play Zion Williamson who’s your best player, but is on a on a minute watch, but you you’re in a close game and then you have to sit him down because he’s hit his limit. I don’t know. It’s so stupid because you’re always going to need the player late, but you have to have the player early so that the late plays matter more. It’s such a conundrum. Yeah. I listen like should he have played at all? Like I think he did in the limited snaps he did have a nice PBU on Courtland Sutton. I have to give him that. Like when he played he played very well. I think I agree. I thought he showed up. He did not play a lot. So and I I don’t think that’s his fault. No, I don’t think so either. It just makes it more all the more frustrating when you’re seeing Marcus Harris out there and Derell Baker out there, you know, with no help behind him because might I add you, Jarvis Brownley Jr. gets hurt at the end of the game and Legarius isn’t playing. Like if Marcus Harris went down, like you’re moving Roger Mccur to the outside and like if that happened earlier in the game, you would have moved Roger Mccur to the outside and had one of the safeties be a big nickel for the rest of the game. Like that’s another part. the the depth for the secondary can get scary very fast. And so Andrew asks, “Is Sne hurt again?” No, I I he’s I don’t think he’s hurt again. I believe that was the plan. He uh missed a lot of time playing football. And so he’s not just going to come in there and play a full I don’t let me see how many snaps uh Denver had offensively. Uh that would have been a lot of lot of plays to go out there. So total plays Denver had 71. So, if he would have played 60 snaps, that probably wouldn’t have worked very well and he might have reinjured or just hurt something else because he’s not ready for that. Um, so my my X factor was the Cam Ward operation and early game script. I don’t think it went very well. Here’s the thing. There was none to begin with. I was going through the like even when the Titans got into a second and manageable, that’s when the penalties happened. Like I can’t think of a few times where Cam Ward got into situations where it was second and below five. Like there I think the the opportunities where it was second or third and more than 15 were twice as many as there were opportunities where it was second and third and less than five. It’s not good. The Titans were the Titans were two for 14 on third down. Do you I I know this from my brain from watching from memory. Okay. Do you know the distances of the two third downs they converted out of 14 opportunities? One was 11. Yep. That was the Tony Pard one. Tony. Yeah. So the other one the Gunner Helm one. No, I don’t know the next one. It was the Calvin Ridley rolling right throwing all the way back to the left. It was third and 14. Oh, yeah. And so that that just shows you everything, right? Yes. Is that they were two out of 14 on third down and they converted an 11 and a 14. Not good. Not actually. No, no, no. Garrett’s correct. It was the chick play. My bad. It was It was the third and 14 chick play where he caught it and ran and Shawn Payeyton uh challenged it. Challenged it for the fourth time. Man, that guy Shawn Payeyton just I bet Shawn Peyton He really got under your skin. He did. He did. Shawn Payeyton is the guy who says, “Well, actually,” and then after everything you say, “Well, actually, h actually.” H screw that. It was so frustrating. It was so like picky. Like I asked for No, I asked for my pickles on the side. Like just eat your damn burger, Sean. That’s what I felt like Shawn Payeyton was doing. Just so picky about everything. God. And the poet’s moon says Shawn Payton did that so much in New Orleans. Did you hear the stat that he only threw the challenge flag 12 times in two years before and he threw it four times today. Now, one of them did not count because they did the automatic review thingy. So it was that that’s also gonna get under my skin all all year is the automatic because there should never be a a head coach should never have to challenge the spot. If you have that thing then they should never have to challenge it. Yeah. Ah what a game. Okay. This promote this promote Dard Wilson to head coach. Some people are asking me in the comments why why I don’t think that he’s a very he’s a very good defensive planner. He’s a incredible put him in that head coaching position and watch that all go away. It’s just going to happen. Like he is very good at what he’s done. He’s taken about a decade to get to his spot and he deserves it. But he is nowhere near ready to and fit to be a head coach. And I hate that it’s week one and we’re talking about this. We should not at all. So, but it it’s just it’s not feasible. All right, so we got one more segment here. I’m about to blow everybody’s mind and just make you probably even more upset. And I’m sorry uh for that. Uh but that’s just what’s going to have to happen. And so I’m going to go through where the wind probability fell off a cliff the most. So this is kind of the answer. This is the answer to our earlier drive of the game question. Uh, but all of our analytical looks into the Titans postgame is presented by our friends at Lipkcom University and their sports analytics program. It is an online degree that can help you turn your passion of sports into a career. JT and I, we’re doing sports. We’re doing football for a living. We get paid salaries to do this to do football stuff because we took our own path. Lipkcom can be your path uh to doing this for a living. Uh there’s so many different ways to do it. I think everybody in a TOZ has their own unique pathway because that’s how it works. But Lipkkey University is on the on the forefront of their sports analytics program. They’ve been doing it for a couple years. Uh they’re one of the few universities around the country that has it. It’s an online grad program that you can go back to school, do it online with whatever your current job is. If you want to shift careers, maybe you have a job and you want a career, Lipkcom is the place for you. So check them out online with Lipkcom University and their sports analytics program. So JT, the ESPN win probability when the punt was muffed. The Titans were down 12 to 13. The punt was muffed and the Titans got it at the 24 yard line. Well within field goal range. That was with 1153 left in the fourth quarter. The Titans had a 56% chance to win. I look at ESPN’s win probability just two minutes later. Fourth and 35 at the Denver 49. Johnny Hecker punched into a touchback. That 56% dropped down to 36%. In four plays rough. Then it goes even more right after that. Just two plays later, it drops to Is that the RJ Harvey run? The RJ Harvey 50-yard run, it dropped all the way to 24%. So to recap, in two minutes of game play, the Titans went from a 56% chance to win to a 24% chance to win. in two minutes of game play in the fourth quarter. That’s tough. That’s tough. And I’m sure that’s not going to make anybody else in the chat more happy. But hey, it’s those small mistakes. Anything else to add on this hour postgame show that we have now officially hit? Um, I’m sure there’s going to be a lot more to say this week. I the sicko I am. I’m very excited to watch this back, see what went wrong and how they’re going to fix it because I do think that there were some good takeaways from Cam Ward’s first game. I think the defense was spectacular today when they were not asked to carry the entire team for an entire two quarters at the end of the game, which is impossible to do for any defense. But on top of like basically being the entire reason they were in this game in the first half, like they were spectacular for a lot of the game. And then yeah, there were a couple good things that I thought Cam Ward did. I thought the running game was fine in in different drives and spurts, but we’re gonna have to see it all come together. So, the defense played really well until the the muff punt opportunity was ruined and they gave up the big play from RJ Harvey. Yes. Which so the for the first, you know, 4550 minutes of the game, the defense played great. Now, Kendall has a uh super chat here. This will be the last super chat of the night. defense penalties came from aggressiveness, offense or technical mistakes. Seems like Dinard has more respect see more from him than Callahan. I’ll I’ll I’ll take it this way. Maybe I don’t I I I don’t know how much they respect who or don’t respect the other. I I don’t know. But here’s my takeaway. I don’t think the defensive penalties come from aggressiveness. I think they come from stupidity and being reckless and being undisiplined and not understanding the moments which is also a sign of disrespect if you think about it in my viewpoint it’s not aggressiveness it’s stupidity. Yes, I I think you’re exactly right. Like aggressiveness like fine get your aggressiveness out by sacking the quarterback. Do not do it when the whistle’s basically already called and Jeffrey Simmons is knocking the guy over. Like if you think that is what this team needs more of. Sure. There there are there are aggressive penalties. Absolutely. There are aggressive penalties. Like defensive holding could be viewed as aggressive depending on how it went in the situation. Not like a I got beat so I got to hold the guy defensive holding but like being too physical, being too aggressive. But third and five and you jump off sides, stupid. Not aggressive, dumb, undisiplined. Jeffrey Simmons at the end. Don’t have to go over that. Jarvis Brownley Jr. face mask. Stupid. Jarvis Brown Jr. I think it’s also I last thing we’ll talk about on Jarvis Brownley Jr. is like I feel like we’re putting real unrealistic expectations on Jarvis Brownley Jr. Has he been thrusted into this spot where he is now? Yes. Does he deserve to be there? I think that’s debatable. I mean, he is a fifth round rookie or was a fifth round rookie last year after after all. He was a fifth round draft pick. He he’s now still acting as if like especially in this game without Legarius. He was basically cornerback one. Like these were the kind of things coming out that made Jarvis Brownley Jarvis Brownley and probably why he was a a third day like draft pick. If he wasn’t as scrappy and as messy as he is in coverage, he probably would have gone on day two or maybe like even in the early second round. But that’s what it is. I feel like sometimes we’re a little the expectations for him I think are a little too much. And I think here here’s how I’ll put it. I think Jarvis Jr. is a talented player but he’s being overexposed. Yes. Second round player from the fifth round of the draft. Second year player from the fifth round. He should be playing a third of the snaps that he’s actually playing. Yes. And then maybe you limit the penalties and you get more of the good. But because he’s a starter, he’s out there all the time. He’s gonna do some dumb stuff and gonna have four penalties in a game. Yeah. And I agree. Some people in the chat that came in late, Ammani Hooker, gota gotta use those arms, man. Like, come on. You can’t I don’t Nobody teaches that. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, somebody asked this question. I’m I’m late. But did one of Did you just say Cam Ward was lacking things between the ears? I don’t think anybody has said that. Andrew Higenbottom. Uh nobody is saying that. So I think there’s good stuff from Cam Ward. I think he’s very talented. I think he’s got obviously has things to learn. I think uh Bo Nicks was terrible today. And then if you want to talk about another quarterback’s performance, I thought Mark Sanchez was horrific today. I’m glad I I tuned him out as much as possible. I did like his I did like his one line though. Um which one? Because I was listening I was trying to listen to the Titans radio broadcasts from here as well. Try to do that as much as I can. Uh he was like I I maybe it wasn’t what he said, but I saw someone tweet like if Mark Sha Sanchez the the the butt fumble king is telling you uh how bad that play calling was at the end of the the half like then you know you absolutely have a problem. Like apparently that happened where he was criticizing the play calling by Brian Callahan which Yeah. And he which is fair, but like Mark Sanchez also said that Cam Ward has elite speed and I was like no. No. Like elite speed? No. Like he he’s not slow. He’s not fast. He doesn’t have elite speed. That was the first time I’ve ever heard somebody say that Cam has elite speed. I was like what are you doing? Mark Sanchez was at times he probably just showed up for work and did none of the homework. It felt like it at times. It felt like it. Yeah, Cam can run fine. He can move, but he doesn’t there. No way is does he have elite speed. That was just a weird comment from Mark Sanchez. I was like, “All right.” Okay. Uh I think that does it for us. I think um we’ve been here for over an hour. There’s been a lot of interesting comments from you guys, a lot of colorful comments from you guys. So, uh, let’s go ahead and wrap this thing up. Appreciate everybody watching here. Uh, hopefully things will be better, uh, next go round when the Titans host the Rams. We’ll find out, um, if Matt Stafford is going to play well after having some back issues through the training camp. Uh, but thanks again for everybody watching the show. Please hit the like button. Also, thanks again to all of our great sponsors, XGolf National, Murphersboro and Franklin, BTA Sports, Botto Carts, Lipkcom University Sports Analytics, and the Barrel Social Club uh to play some poker up there in Kentucky. And we’ll see you guys. I will see you guys tomorrow morning at 8 with Zach. Uh we’ll have more content coming from the locker room as Eston and Buck are both in Denver uh covering that postgame uh there. So, I’ll see you guys tomorrow morning. Appreciate as always. Talk to you soon.

Same old bullshit!!!
You are delusional to think Titan can go blow for blow Austin you are sassy as they come a Gen who haven't build however excellent at tearing down critical as next level childlike behavior IMO jealous no talent
🙄 I was really optimistic about the Titans O-line during preseason. I was wrong. Between the line, receivers that can’t catch and penalties, there’s not much to be excited about. The worst thing is coaching. Titans ran up the middle on 1st and 2nd down the entire game, even though it wasn’t working. They just as well have told the defense the play. No creativity, no adjustments, just really sad, predictable play calling, just like last year. Callahan should have stayed a coordinator.
This is the same old stuff. I’m over the Callahans. Brian is the worst coach I have ever watched in the NFL, you could hand fans a clipboard and they wouldn’t be as predictable.
And all the “Bill Callahan is the best offensive line coach in the league” is BS. This unit is awful and has two first round picks and three big free agent investments up there. Latham looked slow, Wards running for his life out there. Get them both out.
We need a REAL COACH ASAP
That was some of the worst coaching in the pros from an offensive prospective I've ever seen. You literally run the same play on first down pretty much every drive and then right before halftime when you need to actually run the ball 3 straight times and take it to halftime you drop back to pass 3 times! What a joke of a coach. He has no idea when to run or when to pass in certain situations.
The thing I wonder is this. Given how much better Will Levis looked with Vrabel, how sure are we that Callahan should have his hands on our #1 pick? I’m not convinced Levis had a chance to succeed given the ineptitude at HC, I hope the same doesn’t happen to Ward.
Don’t panic yet!!! Let Cam go back and watch the film… And like it’s on to the RAMS! ⚔️⚔️⚔️
Our offense totally is not discipline at all.📢🤬🤬📢📢📢😡🤬🤬
Hire Kliff Kingsbury next year.
I will give Gruden the pass myself if that's what it takes.
FIre Callahan. It's simple. Keep D Coordinator and special teams coach.
Just dropping in to comment but have 0 desire to watch this analysis from AtoZ beyond the 20 second mark. It is simply subpar.
I was at the game today. I don't agree with the lack of throwing plays called. Cam could have diced the Denver D apart more times than not if he was given a chance to get in a rhythm. Denver had no legit answer for Helm.
Cam played a better game than Nix. Full stop.
Callahan took the Vrabel angle and relied on a running game that was simply not going to succeed against Denver's D. But what does Callahan do? Coach more foolishly.
Denver looked…overrated. Bo Nix IS overrated.
Overall, Titans played a decent game on the road and we came up short. Switch the HCs and Titans take that game.
P.S. I would be interested to know the last time there was 3/3 successful challenge calls in a half of a football game.
⚔️⚔️⚔️
He’s not a good coach. His team is highly undisciplined. He will be fired at the end of the season. He keeps that up he won’t make it to the end of the season.
I can’t do another season like this. It makes me not want to watch football.
Callahan has no idea how to coach or call plays. He has no idea how to scheme an offense. It’s so cookie cutter and predictable. They don’t look like a professional team.
titans are trash
Yall start with Jeff Simmons. Start with Callahann!!!!
it was vs the BEST D in the league, i dont think its fair to blame the play calling or QB
CALLY IS A FKN DISASTER..BETTER CUT BAIT WITH HIM NOW BEFORE HE DESTROYS CAMS TALENT …👿👿👿
People screaming for better skill players, does not matter a bit if Cam has no time to throw
Zeitler had the false start on a QB sneak call 🤦🏽♂️
These guys are ridiculous. Dennard would be a better play caller than Callahan. Titans have a good team of they just had better play calling half the penalties would not have happened. It's all on Callahan
I even told these dummy’s that 1 elbow equals 2 feet.
JT said “No!” Go back and check the comments JT, you are a BIG DUMMY
Well I saw 3 none called pass interference in a row that the ref didn't called against Denver
Cam ward was throwing to go routes there weren’t any short routes he could throw to. By play design he literally had to hold onto the ball
Brian Callahan is a decent man in the city of demons lol. 😊
