Those 2 pounders were just too much. Hope he has a quick recovery
Guess those weights were too heavy after all. What a bummer
Fuck me.
Those five pounders was pushing it, but he really had to show off.
Snakebit
Goddamn it. Torn thumb UCL (ulnar collateral ligament) recovery time varies significantly, from about 6-8 weeks for stable, non-surgical Grade 1 sprains to 3-4 months or longer for Grade 2 and 3 tears, with surgical cases requiring a longer immobilization period and subsequent therapy. Return to normal daily activities can take a few weeks to a couple of months, while return to competitive sports or heavy-duty activities can take up to 10-12 weeks or more. Recovery depends on the injury’s severity and the chosen treatment, with internal bracing techniques potentially speeding up the return to play.
FUCK ME in the asshole
not a very common injury, quick google suggests maximum recovery time even with surgery at 12 weeks, so even worst case he should be back by Christmas if Philly fans are looking for a silver lining
Grimes doing the Mr. Burns ‘excellent’ hands.
Another exciting season of sixers basketball is here
Healthiest Philly player
5 lb weights are more dangerous than you think
This is kind of hilarious after the video he posted. Hope he heals quickly.
Doing all that heavy lifting
should’ve just stuck with the 2.5 pounds 💔
(all seriousness though what a pity, he seemed destined to come back with a vengeance sophomore year)
76ers just as cursed as NOLA?
We’re so back
Process 2.0?
Damn, that’s not good. Tore mine a couple years back, took almost 2 months to heal, then I had another 2 months of physical therapy just to be able to regain ~90% of my range of motion back.
Medical student, so not a doctor, but getting there:
If it was a mild tear, it might not need surgery, and he might be good to go by Halloween if he’s lucky and takes it easy, which I’m sure he will.
If it’s bad enough to need surgery, full recovery (i.e. back to basketball) can take anywhere from 3-6 months. Full strength can take much longer than that though, especially grip strength, sometimes as long as 10-12 months, so it’s a very variable timeline right now. If he needs surgery though, getting him back just before/at the ASB would be the most optimistic to hope for.
Those 8lb dumbbells were too heavy.
you really cant make this shit up with this team. the pels too.
That video wasnt a joke after all 😫
Im tired, boss..
I really want this dude to be healthy. He showed flashes that he could be so fun to watch. We need more dynamic shooters making plays.
