  1. Well. One our guys from Japan did way better than the other tonight.

Let’s tee off on Mikolas tomorrow!

  2. At this point we are who we are. We’re not gonna figure anything out in these next 3 games. Just do enough to secure home field for the wild card and pray to the baseball gods. Go cubs go

  3. Wild how we’ve gone from panicking about the offense to panicking about the pitching in just 1 series. With Shota’s struggles and Horton’s uncertainty, really gonna need the April/May Cubs offense to return, more than the cameo appearance it’s made this series

  4. Never understood why baseball players pop champagne for just making the playoffs. It’s been all downhill since then.

  5. This is probably going on deaf ears and I’m not optimistic myself but win 2 against the Cards and we clinch homefield even if the Padres win out

  6. Losing 2/3 isn’t great but they scored runs, limited the pen usage, and Seiya may finally be getting back in the groove. Getting Tucker back may help and maybe PCA will get back on track this last series.

  7. I know this is coping but it’s nice to see the offense happening, despite the recent losses. I’m concerned about Shota too (and maybe the pitching in general) but signs of life on the offense is a positive

  8. Not sure we realize home field for WC would be nice. Playing our worse ball going into the playoffs that’s a good combo!

  9. Look at the bright side. The San Diego padres rank 28th In team home runs. So we don’t have to worry about that . Boyd seems to have solved his issues. Best case scenario, we win and the padres lose and we have time to rest our players for Tuesday

  10. 1-6 after “clinching” a postseason spot when there’s still a bunch at stake, that’s cub babyyyy

  11. The Padres just beat the best team in baseball in a series so let’s hope the Diamondbacks embarrass them this weekend cause if San Diego takes 2 or 3 of their final games we don’t stand much of a chance

  12. who gets homefield if the Cubs and Padres finish with the same record? who gets the #1 wild card in that scenario?

  13. The Mets had lots of hard contact hits against Shota. It didn’t help that Baty’s 3 run homer happened with 2 outs. Hopefully Cubs hitters can tee off on Miles Mikolas and add to his 4.76 ERA tomorrow

  14. I called this team finishing 91-71 a few weeks ago and I’m sticking to it.

I’m pretty confident they can take 2 out of 3 at home against St Louis. Very confident that they can at least win 1 and San Diego will at least lose 1 to a Diamondbacks team fighting for their own playoff lives.
