Off. We go in the finale between the Tigers and Guardians in the regular season and we will see if the Tigers can get back to even at the top of the American League Central Parker on the hill. Third here is spencer Toleen swing and a miss. He powered a fastball by him and strikes out the side here in inning number three, Riley Green. The hitter for the Tigers. It is 3 to 1. We are here in the fourth and Riley Green, the baseball make that 4 to 1 and that three run lead is back as a get me over fastball to a guy that’s got 35 homers. Riley is not going to miss that. No, sir. Left hander Brandt hurt is on the pitch for the Tigers comes on with two down and the bases empty. CJ K is the batter left on left bidding for a second hit of the night that’s going to get down. He’s going for two again. Perez throw to second is close but not in time. And CJ is two for two with two doubles. He gets in there and he beats the throw. He’s in scoring position. Now, now Brian Roo is the Guardian’s trying to cut into that Tiger lead. There is one of those ground balls. Torres got a bare hand on the money and they got four outs needed an extra one just in case instant replay shows up. It’s the right play over at first base to whistle at home. Labor do or die. Bang bang got him one down back to the top of the lineup for J Jones in on the hands and ramirez from third throws to first. It gets away a wobble from Jose ramirez over at third. He can’t believe it. So Jones at first with one out and Labor Torres zero for two. The batter up the middle in the center field, that’s a base hit Jamai Jones wants third base and he’ll take third base. Thank you very much. It’s a two strike hit three and one that’s ball four. It’s bases loaded. One down for Spencer to a mistake here could really, really blow this thing and lifts it high in the air to shallow left. Charging in is out goes. Arias. Arias makes the catch not nearly deep enough for Jones to try and score and now there’s two outs, a huge out recorded by Messi and now it’s Riley Green. The Tigers with a chance to really open things up here in the fifth inning trying to work out of it with no damage done. Struck him out and the Tigers squander an opportunity to blow this game open. Riley Green strikes out to leave them loaded. Parker Meadows takes a walk with two down a Baez trying to prolong the inning here with Meadows at first. And that is to shortstop ricocheting off of Arias Meadows a great read. He’s on his way to third and he’s in there safely. Holding on to the bag. Joey Cora pointing right at the bag and time called. It is 1st and 3rd for the Tigers. And here is a big opportunity for Carey carpenter to grab a baseball bat. He hits for Jamiah Jones, swing , struck him out and fo holds the Tigers at bay as Detroit two more here in the sixth. Back to back two out walks once again, Tigers trying to break it open. They lead 4 to 1 in the seventh. And now zack Mckinstry, another left handed hitter to the plate and a ground ball to Manzo, he’ll take it himself and the Tigers strand two more. They’ve left seven in the last three innings. Austin Hedges to lead it off. He’s singled in the third struck out in the fifth hedges with a line drive base hit to left field green cuts it off. It’ll be a leadoff single for hedges. His second hit of the night. This crowd is up on their feet. He said a big moment. Oh, what a catch by torres. He robbed Quant of a hit and boy that would have really ripped up the momentum in this inning. Instead, it’s a big first out Kyle Finnigan who has given up just two runs in his time with the Tigers and Daniel Schne will hit for Rodriguez on the ground right at first. Tort takes it in the chest and won’t even throw to second base hedges to second two gone. And jose ramirez who the Tigers have intentionally walked before they will not do it to bring the tying run to the plate. So he will hit here a base hit left center field around third.
