Drake Maye throws into more open windows than any other QB in the league. Josh McDaniels is cooking.

It’s mostly scheme since our guys aren’t league leaders in separation
We cannot take a list headed by Mac Jones seriously. But Drake is great though.
That seems like a huge feather in Josh’s cap if so, given the quality of our receivers. Great scheme. An ostrich feather even.
Josh has been on a tear the last two games, Lazar’s analysis the past two weeks was incredible at showing that alongside some all22. McDaniel’s year off was great for him, the guys just need some time to mesh and this offense has real potential.
He’s also Tied with Patrick Mahomes for throwing the least amount of hospital balls.
I will keep saying it Maye looks the same as last year the biggest difference is the McDaniels hire. His biggest issue is turnovers he stops that and we are cooking, however through 3 games he’s still showing he is a turnover goblin.
I was wondering why I offense looks so much more fluid and then it hit me that McDaniels is coaching now, ive taken for granted how well that dude can coach an offense.
Josh is the fucking man fr. I really hope he stays long term as our OC. There were times when I gave him shit but I realized I was so wrong and to be honest I probably always felt that way even when I criticized him. After him being gone it really hit how inept some of the coaching in this league is. Stay as a a potential goat OC and forget about a HC role unless for whatever reason it might work out here in NE down the road
Say what you want about McDaniels playcalling, as a play designer hes always been S+ tier
This is not a good thing lol.
We just need to open the offense up a bit more. It’s hard to have to go 12-15 plays on every drive for a TD without a big penalty or Turnover.
I know our receivers don’t got speed but we need some explosives
I’d like to see this on pure dropback pass plays ie no screens, pick plays, etc
Maybe I’m just optimisitic, but I feel there’s tremedous upside to this team, it’s just a matter of getting all the pieces to click.
