Certainly not cheering this news, barkov is one of the best and most fun players to watch. But this does potentially impact the hawks in a major way. My guess is the Panthers still make the playoffs, but their depth will certainly be tested. Get well soon Barkov

Awful news for the panthers, even worse news for Team Finland. I wish this guy the best during his recovery. By unfortunate events that does help us, they won’t be a lottery team but I’m hoping for them to jump to 14th-17th in the lottery compared to the 25th-32nd they probably would’ve been.
Sucks for them and Finland bit I guess we benefit from this. Hopefully they take a step back this year.

I wonder what odds you could have gotten on “Chicago drafts McKenna… with Florida’s pick” two days ago. Still extraordinarily unlikely, but it’s not impossible to imagine that Bob has a down year, Marchand starts showing his age, wear and tear starts catching up with some of the other guys, and they end up as a first round exit or even as a lottery team.
Maybe we can pick up a win opening night :’)

They are still a top 10 team without them, and Tkachuk will be back. From high 20s to.mid 20s, not a big change.

This does make me wonder if they’d have interest in Dickinson though. He is a poor man’s Barkov. Very very very poor man haha. But he is good defensively and they dont need someone for more than just this year.
