The Milwaukee Brewers sending out Quinn Pier for the start in this one while the Cincinnati Reds will counter with Zack Latell. Originally Z Pster was going to go on Wednesday in the finale against the San Diego Padres’s. But the Milwaukee Brewers shifting Pster to Friday and still the same sentiment I had for Prester remains. I mean, he’s on absolute fire. The Milwaukee Brewers have won 19 straight appearances by Quinn Priest. Some of those have been the majority of those have been starts, but a lot of those have been the uh sorry, the outliers have been long relief appearances where he came in in the fourth inning. Some of those he actually closed out the game. Some of those he went into the ninth inning and made way for the bullpen. But either way, the Milwaukee Brewers keep finding ways to back up Quinn Pier. But, you know, part of me wonders if that if that’s going to continue here because I mean, the Milwaukee Brewers have locked up home field throughout the uh or at least sorry, first round buy. They’re still playing to make sure they get home field and playing for some momentum to carry into the postseason. And it tells me that they’re shifting Pster around that I think they’re still interested in playing spoiler, especially for a division rival like the Cincinnati Reds because, you know, you move one of your one of your better pitchers on on onto the final series and maybe that’s to get him on regular rest so that you know, he’s he’s not having as extended of a layoff if the Milwaukee Brewers have that first round series buy. But like I said, I still I still think there’s some level of wanting to play spoiler here. And the Cincinnati Reds, they need to keep winning right now because they are, you know, trying to hang tight with the uh with the New York Mets and the Arizona Diamondbacks for that wildcard spot. And Zack Latell for me is just not an option I really want to back if I’m the Cincinnati Reds or if I’m trying to back the Cincinnati Reds because he was still a headscratching move when I said it when the Reds picked him up at the trade deadline. you know, for a team that plays at such a hitter friendly ballpark like Great American, you know, to have Zack Latell in that rotation and he’s already given up 36 home runs this season. Like I said, it’s a bit of a, you know, just a move that I don’t understand. Now, granted, he is not, you know, pitching in Cincinnati in this game. And, you know, his starts for the Reds, for the most part, when he’s been on the road, he hasn’t given up home runs. So, if you’re looking for a silver lining to back Latell, that might be it. And he does have a 2.25 25 RA against Milwaukee this season, but I’m just not deviating from what has continued to cash time and time again, and that is the Milwaukee Brewers winning with Quinn Priest on the mound. So, I’m going to roll with the Brewers here on the money line, and that’s going to be my free pick.
