Jung Ho Lee forgets how many outs there are, throws ball into stands.

  1. Let’s face it, we can give the Rockies 6 outs instead of 3 and they still wouldn’t score most innings.

  2. Can someone explain the scoring on this? Why would this be considered an error?

It probably seems obvious that this would be an error, but baseball scorers aren’t supposed to punish mental mistakes (ie: out of position, letting a catchable ball drop) with the error, but rather only physical misplays.

To me this is more of a mental error than a physical misplay, so shouldn’t be punishable with an error under baseball rules and scoring.

  3. I would stop watching altogether if players don’t commit error and blunder.   They’re the most fun part of the game

  4. Rare ball! That one fan is happy but the rest… probably not. And he tried to hide it but the poor guy died inside pretty hard.

  5. You know he’s just dying inside. The rule for an errant throw is 2 bases for the runner on base from where they started. So man on first goes to third, man on second goes to home, run scored. And he gets an error on the play as well.

  6. I don’t understand why he did this. Usually, even for the 3rd out, throws it back to the infield. This time he decided to wing the ball into the crowd.

    Toddler of the Math.

But seriously, it’s an easy mistake. Not one you automatically expect an expensive big leaguer to make but it happens.

  8. Hopefully Southwest Airlines is reaching out to him to see if he wants to do one of their “Wanna Get Away?” ads

  9. Waiting for the Phillies lady to chime in, like “See! That’s why you don’t give a kid a baseball, idiots!”
