I wanted to keep this one simple. No extra audio, no extra nonsense.. Just the some footage of one of the most brutal matches I’ve ever seen. It wasn’t even like there were a ton of scuffles.. It was just two heavy weight teams throwing haymaker after haymaker. Some of the QB hits weren’t so awful but it really is strange to see how hitting the QB hard used to be such an important factor of the game. Seeing Ngata drop all of his weight down on Ben seemed brutal and odd to think that’s automatically a penalty today. I don’t dislike the game for changing, it is what it is.

A lot of negative Steelers highlights in here but that really wasn’t the point of the video. I kept some pretty big plays in there too.. Just for some sweet nostalgia. I’ll also probably use this game for some more videos.

  11. I believe Madden 09 for the PS3 was based on this one game. The hits in Madden 09 are absolutely brutal, and the most violent looking of all the Madden's. This game was played in 09

  13. look i get wanting football to be more aggressive but that hit by clark on mcgahee is what we dont need anymore, one collision and both dudes get suicidal thoughts 15 years later and massive depression. People need to know what its like to get dangerously k.o'd before they start spoutin that bullshit about bringin old rules back

  36. This true part of the game is lost. Football is not nearly as rough, players will never play with this amount of effort anymore for fear of penalties. These are gladiators willing to die on the gridiron.
