[Highlight] Nikola Jokic contending with the physicality from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

I love this play not just because of the spite with which Jokic does this, but also because it’s interesting to see which side people are on. It’s a very divisive and subjective scenario
Aka Jokic running into him
“Physicality”
Jokic flails his arms up and over Jaylin Williams arm in a legal guarding position. Then proceeds to continue to pin said arm against his chest as he runs across the court. There is no argument that this is an offensive foul. Also, how many times did Jokic do this stupid ass shit in this series? That is his go to move to try and get a foul.
Edit: I can already see the future comments of people saying “wHaT aBOut SgA???!!” Yeah well at least he does not complain like a little bitch to the refs every time a call doesn’t go his way.
Multiple things can be true at once. Shai is a flopper/foul baiter. Jokic is as well but not as much as Shai. The thunder were allowed to hack the shit out of every team they played.
This guy really got locked up by a 6’4 guard
Jokic tried this leap on his defender BS all series
This is the shit that pisses me off about Jokic. He gets away with so much off the ball, then his fans whine about him being played more physically. He invites it with shit like this. Can’t have it both ways.
It was also hilarious seeing everybody whine about OKC being “too physical 🥺” when that’s what the playoffs are about. Indiana didn’t whine, they got physical back and bodied up SGA the entire series.
Jokic attempted more fts this series than SGA btw
Its a flop off.
He was doing shit like this the entire series to try and get Hart and Chet in foul trouble.
People here have no idea what legal defense is. You can’t extend your arms 90 degrees on either side of your body and block someone from running by you. That’s like the textbook definition of illegal contact.
Edit: literally section 1A of Rule 12 on fouls:
“A player shall not hold, push, charge into, impede the progress of an opponent by extending a hand, arm, leg or knee or by bending the body into a position that is not normal. Contact that results in the re-routing of an opponent is a foul which must be called immediately.”
Maybe I’m an idiot (I undeniably am but I think maybe this is one of the 2 times a broken clock is right) but I like the no call here. Both guys are fully capable of avoiding this contact and they’re both fucking around hoping the ref makes a call. Play on
People are actually in here trying to quote to rule book or say “but actually Shai is an even bigger flopper🤓”, meanwhile the clips is literally Jokic running to jump and flail into a defender for literally no reason. You people are INSANE.
Goofy as fuck from jokic
A defender can’t stop you from running by him by holding out his arm. Idk wtf Jokic is doing, but the defender also can’t do that. Is he trying this stunt to expose this to the ref? OKC gets away with a lot of this hacking shit.
Offensive foul all day long. Joker was getting frustrated but was in the wrong here.
Shit was hilarious when he just started running with his arms out lol
Stay salty r/NBA. The chip is ours.
Something, something … freedom of motion.
I like Joker for the most part, but he’s not above some lowass bullshit, same as the rest of them.
Caruso was insanely physical in game 7 lol
I remember how furious this sub was about Caruso’s aggression in that game in particular
People will watch this and say it was OKCs fault. People are too far gone in this narrative.
This is the worst and calculatedly most divisive possible clip to show what was happening in this series. Screw the OP for karma farming this bullshit.
Jokic just looks like a bitch
Jokic 100% clearly knew what he was doing, he’s manipulating the rules. This has nothing to do with the pattern of Okc being more physical or getting away with more fouls or whatever narrative youre trying to carry. He jumped directly into a stationary defender then pinned his arm and dragged him. In this play Jokic is in the wrong and he played the refs.
J will is superman if he stopped a sprinting Jokic with one arm
Jokic literally jumps on him and hooks his arm over him
I’m not sure Williams does anything in this clip but have his arms out straight
The dichotomy between people’s hatred for SGA and the Thunder and the reality of Jokic literally jumping on dudes all series and shooting more FTs than SGA is wiiild to see play out in these comments lol
It’s honestly a huge stain on Jokic doing this shit. If he cheaps out in the playoffs and tries it again the league needs to fine him. It was a horrendous watch live. Funny af but he did that swim move like 20 times that series
just ruining my day for no reason
If this was harden he would have already been at the line
