[Fischer] Restricted free agent guard Quentin Grimes is not on the Sixers’ team flight for preseason games in Abu Dhabi, sources say. Philadelphia has also declined the request from Grimes’ agent, David Bauman, to push back the 10/1 deadline to accept his qualifying offer.

8. I mean, I think it’s more likely that Grimes’ agent has botched this. Why else would you need more time after having an entire summer. Notable that Grimes is his only relevant client.

9. After what I saw from VJ, I don’t care. That money is going to be needed to sign VJ to a contract extension in a couple of years. Let him pick up his QO and hit unrestricted free agency.

   But he should also know that he doesn’t have a starting spot likely anymore. So, good luck with that big payment.
