[Music] Welcome to Cubs baseball here on Marquee Sports Network. Final game of the regular season, the Cubs and the Cardinals as the Cubs go for win number 92. And thanks to all of you for watching, for coming out. Best fans in baseball. What’s up? Hey, it’s Nico Horn got in and they’re excited for game one. That’ll be fun. Know how to do day games here at Wrigley Field. Place will be rocking. Yeah. The games will basically be starting at least the first two right in this window. Away we go at Wrigley as Assad misses outside. All one in what is a max of three game series. Swing and a miss. Struck him out and Assad on the curve gets Gorman. 1 2 3 go the Cardinals. Here come the Cubs up to hit mode. However you want to call it. John Mosak is stepping away. High drive left field. Church right there. And one, two, three, go the Cubs. When we come back, where’s Taylor McGregor? She’s somewhere in the ballpark. We’ll find out where center field and it gets past BCA. And now Se is going to have to go track it down. And Crooks on his horse and he’s got a triple. Body language from PCA. uh leads me to believe that this ball had some funky duckling action or something on it. Oh, look at the whip. Wow. Back the other way on him. A slice off the tea. [Applause] Muelamaya injuries have been a big issue for pulls it down. and Assad pitches around the triple bounces to the right side and Fermy. Beautiful shots from our Maggalodon camera powered by Nissan. Nissan makes cars that 02 line out for right center field. So the schedule for the post right swinging a miss as Church comes up empty third strike out for Assad. There’s one away. Fast ball. There goes which is upstairs by Asteros. Drops it on the transfer. It’ll be a stolen B with the Padres’s. Mason Miller. 23 innings. Yeah, I’m not offering up any mozzarella sticks, but 43. That’ll play. Way to go, JD. That wasn’t a sinker though. It was a cutter. Drive ripped right field and it’s played on a bounce by Walker. [Applause] One to the right side mean on to first and they go 463 to end the inning. [Music] Pitch nine and a swing and a miss. That was a change up pitch. Always resourceful. Javier Assad with his fourth strike out of the day. [Music] see of his knee scopes to JC caught looking. Strike out number five. He just started bringing up everything. That’s the third cast. Got him. Walker is out. Feel like a Gabby Hartnet. High drive and a base hit for Nico. What else is new? Fly ball left field. Woo! Church takes it in. No runs a hit. One man left and a four. Nothing. Nothing. Popped up left side. Castro really makes the catch. [Applause] Well, if anything gets left behind the Goodwill. That is hammered left field. It’s back and it’s gone. Four straight games for Sea of Suzuki with a homer. And just like that, the Cubs have a one- nothing lead. Number 32. What a wacky wacky game. This is struggling for so long in terms of the long ball and now he hits one every day. [Applause] coming at a good time as they head towards the postseason. This home run replay is brought to you by Toyota official of the Chicago Cubs has got his [Applause] Jesse Felman to the right side picks it over to Soka and that’s the ending. Thanks as well to Matt Ramito, vice president, director. Take a photo. I know you were for that, but it was really funny. If even better how calm on the ground, hard hit base hit up the middle and Kyle Tucker making his way to the plate. That one off the glove of Crooks and down to second goes up. Nice drive slicing out towards left center and it’ll fall for a hit. Alcantra comes in to score by a sterile an RBI single. It’s two nothing. The Cubs top prospects team up to bring home run number two. And this is Test. That’s his stroke. The alley alley line drive hitter insurance runs are brought to you by Gallagher. Helping you face the future with confidence. [Applause] Be surprised to see Biosk get a big bat established out there. And then when Joffrey got done playing, he went out to uh uh California out to Hollywood and became a stunt man. Inside corner. Got him. Verm mean is gone. And there’s two away. Let’s see things. And that was from a throwing perspective, not a hitting perspective. Field and Suzuki able to haul it in. Fans of the game brought to you by Mike’s Hard Lemonade. For the love of Lemonade, you’re the fan of the game and you’re the fan of the game and so are you. Keep it locked on Marqueis Sports Network. Reese Maguire with a base hit over the leaping fair mean down. Nico the pitch and Riley O’Brien able to get him. We’ll head to the ninth at Wrigley and the news is good. It is 2 nothing Cubs leaded one line into left field of Contra over to cut that off. It’s a JC into second swing and a miss. He went upstairs and beat him 95 with that heater. Time for our toast to the gate. [Applause] Brooks back in. Wicks ready. Comes with playoff baseball comes your way from Wrigley on Tuesday a little after 2. And now we get to sing the song. Heat. Heat. [Music] win today. They’re singing for us. [Music]

Chicago Cubs vs. St. Louis Cardinals MLB game highlights (September 28, 2025)

  1. That was revenge from the series in St. Louis when they won 2 of 3 and lot of them cardinals were trash talking but look what happened now, we swept them nice, clean, fresh, and it was a powerful sweep!!! Be careful what you say about an opponent team, ladies and gentlemen. Because you never know they will get you're favorite team back. The Cubs are 8 to 5 against the cardinals this year. Go cubs, baby. We will always have faith for our team. 🙂

  2. Wa ha ha the cry babies were without a run what a way to ship them back to their lousy town I hope they go to another division so I do not have to see their ugly faces again specially their sore losers ass face manager Today Cubs let them know that they are superior at least the Cubs are going to the playoffs and they are going home to clean toilets and do dishes

  3. It's really nice seeing the Cubs hitting coming back into focus. We have to remain calm throughout the playoffs, that is what we did in 2016 when we won it all. It is interesting though in 2015 we came in as a Wild Card and made it to the NLCS that year. Is it possible we may have lightning strike twice?? GO CUBS GO!!! Let's win this one for Charlie!!!

  4. The script should play the entire three games of the next series. It will never be just two games. The stadium will lose a lot of money. It’s definitely 3 games so I’m assuming we lose the first one and win the next two. Will see

  5. A disgusting end to a disgusting season. At least we did our part – 2-0 in games we attended (1 home, 1 away).

Time to light up some wood in the stove and start talking about next year.

  6. Strong finish. Don't have high hopes for going deep in the playoffs but I do think this team is certainly capable of it if they can put all the pieces together at the right time. Our offense is streaky, especially against quality pitching and our own pitching rotation is going to suffer without Horton.

  7. 92 wins with all of the injuries they had this season…that's impressive…get Steele back next year….Horton gets more experience…the rookies and PCA have opened eyes…the future of the Cubs is very bright…a few tweaks in the off season…no matter what happens in the playoffs…thank you guys for a hell of a year…
