On the mound for the Atlanta Braves making his final start of the season. Joey wins. It would really be good to see Joey kind of finish strong here. You can see this will be start number 13, game number 14. His numbers have been pretty good, but these last couple have gotten away from him a little bit and everybody wants to finish the season strong. Brian Reynolds stepping up to the plate. He was robbed of a game tying homer on Thursday. Reynolds spanks it to right hitting here in particular, he’s hit safely in 15 of the last 16 games played here at Truest 2, 38 for Mccutchen 13 home runs. He actually is still a really good platoon player, done a nice job against lefties this year but not gets it with a fastball. And we head to the bottom of the first Mitch Keller going for the Bucks in his final start of 25 coming off one that he wants to turn around four runs on four hits, two of them home runs in five innings against the athletics one down for Matt Olsen hits this well toward the chop House there. She goes a solo reservation for one on a Friday night at the chop House for Matt and he is one homer away from 3094 RBIs. So that’s something to watch as well. Another great season for matt Olson Ron Laha has been on a nice home run pace as of late three in the last six games. This is headed toward the gap and it’s going to go off the wall just missing back to back homers and he’s actually only going to get a single out of this. He pumped the brakes hard at the last second. So after he hit this ball looked like ronald kind of fell back a little bit the way his swing finished. Let’s take a peek here and Then he started. It wasn’t like he didn’t bust it out of the box. I think he thought maybe he was going to get out of here. Baldwin’s gonna bounce out a cunha to third. Yes. Yes. Yes. No, no, no. That was a strike strike three. Matt Olsen Homers one leadoff walk for Horwitz, 37 year old veteran, Tommy Pham playing left field tonight for Pittsburgh hit hard to left field. Tommy Pham. A no Doubter. He hammered that one. Tommy Pham clears the deck. That’s his 10th and the Pirates take a 21 lead in the second inning. It’s impressive how far he can hit a ball to center to right, obviously to left. He still has a lot of pop in that bat. Here’s Alexander Canario. There’s a called third strike curveball dropped in there. Canario goes down looking now it’s the rookie nick Yorke loops a flyball right field. A cunha drifting in and he’ll play it on a hop. That’s another one defensively right there watching Ronald Junior come in on that baseball a couple of years ago. He makes that catch. It’s just not moving like he was a few years ago, but the Pirates benefited from bouncer in the dirt 1 to 2 on Henry and now a delayed goal by and he got the hand because of his evasive slide. He was going to be out but moved around the wisely tag Henry Davis. Now batting with a runner in scoring position, the lineup up the middle base hit York wanted to see it through, he’ll be waved around third and Harris throw comes into second. It’s an RBI single for Henry Davis and the Pirates now lead 3 to 1 and that’s good for Henry. He had been one for his last 50 with runners in scoring position and there goes davis, he’s got that easy second stolen base of the season for him. So two down for nick Gonzalez and that’s hit hard to center field and that will bring home another run. Nick Gonzalez drives home davis 41 Pirates. Three takes ball four. It’s the first walk allowed by Mitch Keller and it leads it off for the Braves in the bottom of the third inning, check, swing, kind of full swing. I’m not sure how to describe that, but 95 on our four fastball for Mitch Keller to hit strike three on Matt Olson right there. The bases are loaded for the Braves three walks in the inning for Mitch Keller loaded for on kim strikes out Kim for the second, the better pitchers in baseball, how they execute pitches in these situations and it’s in the hands of Michael Harris. But there you go. How about Keller does the job? Walks three innings for the first time this year and Then gets a strikeout and a comebacker, Marcel Ozuna will lead it off pitch swung through a miss and Ozuna down on strikes one down for Nacho Alvarez swinging a foul tip and Nacho Alvarez is down on strikes back to back strikeouts for Keller’s the 31 pitch and wisely takes ball four. That’s walk number four by Keller another four pitch walk to pro far. So five walks for Keller here and Don Kelly might say with all due respect, you can’t walk five guys a lot of pitches. 89 and Johan ramirez is coming in certainly don’t want to see the Braves let the Pirates off the hook here with these five walks and none of them have come across yet swing and a foul tip struck him out and will be the two runners left on for Atlanta again. They have stranded seven and now pirates have a chance to really bust this thing open. They’re loaded. Tommy Pham Stratton strikes him out slider there at the bottom of the zone one away. Jack Sowinski going to be announced as the pinch hitter for Alexander Canario. He got him. It’s the slider that one a little further down. It works all the same two outs. Here’s Nick York, two for two swung on, hit hard on the ground is short. Kim goes the short way and they get out of the inning bases loaded. Nobody out. Hunter Stratton gets out of it. Two strikeouts and a ground out good work, sir, Michael Harris. The second will lead off the inning. Michael Harris puts a charge into this out to right center field. He did it 20 homers to go along with his 20 stolen bases. His 1st 2020 season, it has taken a late season push here for Michael Harris but he got it done two up and two down against Payamps in the Pirates. Spencer Horwitz cracks his 10th gets that run back to make it a 5 to 2 ball game. He loves hitting him all of a sudden some rain is stuck in here. Yeah, it was spitting for the last five minutes or so and now the sky is opening up. It feels like one of those showers that’s going to get out of here quickly, but they’re not going to wait any longer based on these raindrops. This is usually one that comes and goes quickly. And a new pitcher for the Braves. Dylan Dodd will come on to try to finish up the inning and he will inherit a 32 count to Tommy Pham line drive off of Dodd. He picks up throws to first base and there’s out number three, Todd’s in there for two seconds , takes a line drive off the leg and he’s smiling about it. Now, that is the top of the seventh, two outs for Acuna. He’s been on base three times and ronald has reached all four times tonight. Three hits and a walk for Acuna brings bald into the plate. Well, he takes a four seam fastball and sends it out into right center field. Aha being waved home Drake Baldwin as a rookie has just hit 80 runs driven in an eight pitch at bat. Seven of those pitches were 14 fastballs And even though this guy has a good one, you’re not going to get it by Drake Baldwin when he sees it this many times. And especially in that location that is right down the middle here comes that level swing. And we were talking out with Drake Baldwin as he squares that thing up and in a perfect spot so that Ronald could score all the way from first base. And Triolo starts the Pirates ninth inning with a two banger. He’s at second for Gonzalez bounced up the middle. Takes a wicked hop on all in the past the score. A run out of it. How about that come in for defense and you make a fine fielding play. I mean, that thing took a crazy hop. It was hit pretty hard. Nick Gonzalez right back up the middle clubs around his face. Now throwing off the back foot, Olson didn’t help him because now he’s with a car charged with an error. So two on with one out. Hoitz has not been put out tonight. He is homered, swing fly ball deep right field and Horwitz is at it again. He’s gone back to back home runs tonight. Homered in the seventh. Now another here in the ninth, a three run shot and the Pirates are up 9 to 3 on a big night from spencer. Horwitz have a night spencer. Neither one of them cheap shots. Joe, both of them hit very well that 102.5 off the bat and two down here in the ninth that leave it up to two, swung on and popped up first base side. Who else? But the hidden hero of the day he’s there. He makes the catch and the ball game is over. The Pirates take care of Atlanta. They win 9 to 3.
