  1. We as a collective need to move on. Bochy is a legend and will always be. But he is not the man for the 2026 Giants

  2. Shiiit. Make him a transitional manager for a season so he can retire as a giant. Team has potential, dont see why a man who has 3 rings with us cant bring it out a little

  3. No.

But sign him as a special advisor or something, the man is a forever Giant and he’d probably have a lot to share.

  4. This org needs to stop living in the past and urgently bring in fresh blood. Bochy is a legend, but he’s not the guy to take us forward here.

  5. Twins just let go of Rocco Baldelli, love Bochy, but Baldelli is so much younger and did what he could on a less talented Twins team. I’d much rather look at him for to take on the team than Bochy.

  6. Please no. Team needs to find a manager for the future, not one that’s previously retired.

Also Bochy’s Rangers have been mid as hell for the past two seasons. That 2023 team looks more like a fluke if anything

  7. Not saying I want Bochy back (let’s see some candidates first), but for those saying he’s too old, keep in mind Dusty did well with the Astros couple years ago and he’s in his mid-70s.

  8. I am not against it like many of you. I honestly believe he would have gotten this team into the playoffs this year. Hell… we all thought he was done, and then he goes and wins another with the Rangers.

If Buster thinks Bochy can reignite the magic and bring back that championship mentality to our locker room, I would not question it.

  9. Love Bochy forever and hope he’s part of the organization in some capacity, but hiring him to manage the Giants would be a terrible decision, one inspired by nostalgia rather than a long-term vision.

  10. Bring him home, but as a special advisor or something. Need new, young blood in the dugout.

  11. Bochy is great but the Giants don’t need a Tony LaRussa with the white Sox type situation (a manager who can’t jive with this new crop of gen z ballplayers).
