He threw 87 pitches and be totally engaged. Strike three swinging. Otani gets Colton Cowser for the second out of the second inning. His first K. Otani going to try and pick him up with his two. A leadoff shot from Shi to give the Dodgers the first lead. His 12th leadoff home run of the year that TWW ties Mookie Bett’s franchise mark of 12 set back in 2023. Well, how do you turn a frown into a smile? You let this guy be your leadoff hitter and he brings the power. It was a short rest to turn around from last night’s last inning. I mean, the depth of this curve ball. Look at what it does. God, I love that look. You see Harper, it looks like a strike until it’s not. That they have as a team have adopted early. Look at where this pitch is located. Are you kidding me? Nobody. No one besides Show Otani not only hits this pitch, but hits it for power. There’s a high drive left center field. It is gone. A drive and 55. Show Otani continues to rewrite the record books. He breaks his own franchise record for home runs in a single season. [Applause] for you guys.
