Does baseball need another Padres-Dodgers matchup?

The 1-1’s easy still for me. The best rivalry in baseball. It’s the best rivalry in baseball. Especially cuz they both like pretending that it’s not. That just makes it even better. Oh, really? I didn’t know they do that. They have I I feel like the vibe I get from those fan bases and kind of those players is like this is nothing. Like we don’t actually care that much about this, but you can see it in their play. I guess maybe I have some bad perspective on I guess Dodger fans if they’d like to they can be like I mean this is going back to you guys aren’t welcome at Mr. irrelevant from last year with ProFar. This year there was some MY quotes or was it Will Smith? I’m not sure. But these two always like put on some fireworks whenever they play. Blake Snell’s on the other side now. And I kind of thought of him as a Padre for a while. Tanner Scott. Tanner Scott’s on the other side now. Like there’s it got personal kind of with the over runs hot. I’m excited. I’m excited to see him in a playoff series. Dodgers Padres’s if we can get that for seven somehow. They’ve both won one playoff series against each other. Oh, this would be the decider. Who’s top dog?

  1. It’s more so the padres trying their hardest to get under the dodgers’ skin to create a rivalry that wasn’t there and the dodgers just telling the little brother to know their place

  2. After Padres lose Cease and Michael King this year,
they'll go back to the irrelevance from whence they came.

A franchise whose most famous moment was provided by a lifelong Dodger
    (Steve Garvey 84 NLCS homer).

  3. pretending they're not rivals, the fans at the game will face away to show they're fine with whatever happens and get in fierce compliment battles in the parking lot

  4. I’m pretty confident this will be the NLCS. Dodgers are extremely disciplined come playoff time and the Brewers went on a major tailspin near the end of the season before securing the 1 seed.

Also Jolly failed to mention Machado’s stint with LA before signing- that was definitely a major catalyst in the rivalry.

LAD vs SF and BOS vs NY are historic.. but there is genuinely more bad blood and competitiveness between these two teams and their players than any other teams right now.

  5. As a dodgers fan… I hate when we lose to the padres. Laugh my ass off at them when we beat them, especially because it’s usually hilarious. And will tell you it’s a rivalry completely manufactured by the padres and their fans while fully engaging in it.
