Is Braeden Cootes our missing 2nd line C? #canucks
Did the Vancouver Conucks just find at second line center? I I know the the hype around Braden Coots is insane, but he’s been playing so great. He’s impressing people, but this is not what the Canucks do, right? Like this kid is 18 years old. 18. Like what we do is we develop kids. We we put them in I mean he’s supposed to go back to Seattle and be the captain for Seattle. He was captain for team Canada. This kid has character. He’s got a high motor. He’s got skill. I mean, it it but he’s a right-handed shot def uh faceoff guy. I mean, this this is what we’re looking for. This is what we were trying to trade for. And we drafted him in the 15th round. And you might be saying, uh, Trev, you can’t do that. He’s only 18. Well, well, we had an 18-year-old centerman that we drafted and we let him play right away. It It was Trevor Lindon. It was Trevor Lindon. We might have found him now. I I know that, you know, it’s a good story. May maybe maybe he’s not ready. Maybe he plays a couple games, but what if what if he fits? What if he’s the guy? I don’t know if you know, but I do live streams with chats. Uh I do Conucks videos and and uh reals, shorts, all that kind of stuff. I also do newspaper articles. I make them for fun. Here’s what one of them looks like right now. This is a legitimate question that Kucks fans are asking and I don’t know if we’re in the right headsp space to say this because we’re so desperate, but there’s so much promise with this kid. Do you think that we just found our second line center? You let me know. Let me know in the comments. I hope so. Wouldn’t that be awesome? Can he handle it in the NHL? I mean, the the twins took three years to develop, but maybe he’s a special kid who can just jump into it and dive into it. This is what our fan base is kind of going over. It’s probably just a good story and he’s just probably going to Seattle for the majority. They’re looking forward to having him back, right? But what do you think? I am good with Chytil as second line centre . I believe he will be playing in Seattle this season IMO
I wouldn’t rush him. Give him a year in junior and then give him 10 games to see if he’s ready. Long term, he could be the solution, but rushing a player’s development is never good. He looks like a keeper, but one of the reasons Virtanen never panned out was mismanagement. Obviously Jake didn’t do himself any favours, but pushing him so quickly wrecked him. Make Cootes work for it. They’re not winning the cup this year anyway.
I would let him mature and play Chytil at 2C. If there's an injury at C then call him up.
As good as Cootes looks Chytil looks better
