  1. Can they RFA offer sheet Luke and sign him to a contract that expires with Jack’s then sign Quinn to a contract that expires at the same time giving the Hughes brothers the opportunity to sign massive deals with whoever they want? That’s Quinn’s incentive to resign in Vancouver.
    Then you get 4-5 years to convince them to play here or maybe trade L & Q in the last year as a package or just for what you can in return.

  11. Dumb trade. Dont try to force some last minute desperate “keep Hughes” trade when ultimately I don’t think that would really work. Quinn might even see that as a panic move and not trust Alvin. That s not evening mentioning that we would loose out on three good players too

  12. We have too many talking heads in sports, talking for too long, and the result is them playing silly games like this. Absolutely stupid idea, and it has a negative effect on the team and culture

  13. This deal makes no sense for either team. So have Luke or Marcus Pettersson play on the third pair? While the Canucks lose 2 rw that very may well be playing on the 2nd and third lines this season and New Jersey gets another undersized player in Connor garland? Jersey most likely rather have Kane or Joshua. They are to small to
    Contend. There entire top line is not built for playoffs.
