Why is Bains still on this roster? If this is the lineup for Wednesday, this has to be his last hurrah before being sent down.
Like I’d rather lines start looking like opening light a bit more. Give Chytil a chance to develop chemistry with Kane and Lekkerimaki.
No Sasson. Labate (who was sent down) is in his place.
I’m not sure about DeBrusk and Boeser on the same line but I think it has to happen. Lekk will be our long term 2RW and if DeBrusk doesn’t work with Petey and Boeser he certainly won’t work with Chytil/Cootes/whoever we trade for and Lekk.
Why are they trying Bains in a top 6 role. He hasn’t shown any flashes of finish at the NHL. Like the look of that third line and our defence

Karlsson is practicing net front on PP2 so seems like he has an inside track to be in the opening day lineup.

People need to chill, these lines pretty obviously give away what the team thinks its lineup will look like.
They’re probably giving Bains one more shot in the top 6 in what is clearly Hoglander’s spot, but if he doesn’t show up they’ll put Karlsson in; or maybe try Raty at wing again.
I think bains might be a placeholder for Hoglander but since it’s a prolonged absence for hogs, idk

Gonna be honest not sure the plan here. Bains shouldn’t even really be here over Sasson let alone up there in top 6. We pretty much know the lines at this point, and them not using these last two games to develop chemistry seems like a missed opportunity. Happy about defense and top line at least, and that Lekkerimaki is staying with Kane, though they should be with Chytil and Cootes should be with two other guys cause he isn’t getting top 6.
So Bains replaces Hogs until he comes back, they rest Blueger to give Cootes 9 games and Karlsson is the 13th forward? Am I reading to much into this?
I love how this sub does MPs and EPs now!
Pretty sure Kane will be there with Chytil.
Foote looks to be trying a “second/third line” look again with speed and size for Cootes with Kane.
Does Anyone have Cootes +/- this preseason?
He isn’t being as sheltered as we anticipated.
He’s also getting some minutes.
By the end of the day During Cootes nine games (?) Likely have DOC and Lekk with him?
