FIRST DOWN AT THE 42.
THEY BROUGHT BACK IN THE ROOKIE FROM S.M.U., SMITH.
LIKE PATCH ‘EM OWE — PACHECO, WAS A SEVENTH-ROUND PICK.
MAHOMES GOING TO DUMP IT OFF TO HIM.
SMITH DARTS DOWN THE SIDELINE, AND TIPTOES AND KEEPS ON GOING.
OH, GOOD LOOKING HUSTLE. HE WAS ABLE TO SLIP OUT OF THE
TACKLE BY A ROOKIE DEFENDER FOR TONY: BEEN CLOSE TO PERFECT ALL
YEAR. JIM: HE HAS.
FINDS TIME, AND UNABLE TO TAKE OFF, AND HE IS SACKED.
TILLERY WITH THE TACKLE BEHIND THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE.
TONY: AND THIS IS REALLY JUST A TRANQUIL BLITZING.
HE’S PICKED UP. HERE COMES ANOTHER ONE.
BOLTON AFTER HIM, AND THE PASS IS INTERCEPTED.
CHENAL ABLE TO MAKE THE PLAY IN FRONT OF ANDREWS.
BUT IT WAS ALL ABOUT THE BLITZ, FORCING JACKSON TO UNLOAD IT,
HIS FIRST INTERCEPTION THROWN OVER ON KELCE’S SIDE.

HERE COMES A BLITZ BY THE RAVENS.
LOFTED UP IN THE AIR, CAUGHT BY KELCE, TRIPPED UP BY SMITH.
PERFECT TOUCH PASS BY MAHOMES RAVENS TIME OUT.
TONY: I THINK THAT’S WHY THEY WENT COVER ZERO BACK TO BACK.
THEY DON’T WANT THEM TO WASTE THE ENTIRE CLOCK.

TOUCHDOWN. AND PATRICK MAHOMES HAS JUST
THROWN HIS 250TH CAREER ENOUGH TIMES NOW.
THE LIONS EXPLOITED IT. JIM: YARD SHORT.
THIRD DOWN. BALL CAUGHT.
POPPED RIGHT OUT OF THE HANDS AND KANSAS CITY HAS THE
FOOTBALL. TEAM YOU’RE TRUSTING 100% TO JAM
IT AT YOU. JIM: RIGHT.
LOOK AT THIS BY PACHECO. AND KELCE THREW A BIG BLOCK TO
PICK UP 11 OR 12 IN THE FIRST DOWN.
TONY: KELCE COMING OFF YOUR LEFT JIM: SMITH THE ROOKIE IN AT
RUNNING BACK ON FIRST DOWN. OPEN IS WORTHY, INSIDE THE 20.
STEPS OUT AT THE 15 YARD LINE, HE IS RETURNED AND HE HAS
PRODUCED. 28 YARDS TO WORTHY TO GO WITH
ANOTHER 35 YARD GRAB EARLIER. QUICK LITTLE PASSES RIGHT AWAY.
JIM: CAUGHT, TOUCHDOWN, KANSAS CITY.
TYQUAN THORTON. TONY: THAT’S WHY THEY PUT THE
SPY RIGHT THERE. JIM: LAMAR IN TROUBLE.
A SACK BY CAR LOFTICE. AND CHANGE LIKE THAT ALL OF A
SUDDEN KANSAS CITY BE A GAME BACK IF THEY WIN HERE.
TONY: YEP. JIM: HERE’S THE RETURN.
AND HE BREAKS IT. REMIGIO DELIVERS A STIFF ARM.
THEY GOT IT ALL THE WAY TO THE 50-YARD LINE.
NIKKO REMIGIO, THE LATE SEASON AND THEY LOST THEIR HOME OPENER
THIS YEAR TO THE EAGLES WEEK TWO.
AND HERE ON THIRD AND 1, THE KANSAS CITY DEFENSE OPENS UP THE
FOURTH QUARTER AND CHRIS JONES MAKES THE STOP.

  1. Leo Chenal has always given Baltimore fits. The way to take advantage of him is to pick on him in coverage against a TE. Today, he made the pick off the underthrown pass, punishing them for that stratagem.

Any time KC's in base, they have an extra D-Lineman who moves like a linebacker in Leo Chenal. When he's playing downhill, you're not going to run the ball. This is why teams like Philly and Baltimore Usually end up trying to beat KC through the air. If Leo's getting picks in coverage, there's no stopping KC.

  2. So nice to see the backups in there in the 4th. They gave up a big run in garbage time, but they had it to give up, and got a learning moment they wouldn't have had in a tight game. Very good game for the team.

  3. Juju’s block on Pacheco’s TD is so underrated he was literally falling down and popped right back up to make that block. Sure, Pacheco is strong enough to break that tackle or the guy may have missed all together but his block made it that much easier. Those are the little details that are going to take us far! Each week we are getting better and better, can’t wait until Rice is back!!

  4. Raise of hands if you think the Chiefs are going to win the rest of the 13 games in a row to tie last years standing and play in the Superbowl for the 4th straight year!βœ‹
I personally hate the Chiefs with everything that I can think of, but they could do it.
