be careful what you wish for. i believe the curse ends when the curtains close for ol broadway joe. i really wanted him to witness this team have more success but i just dont think its going to happen.
What’s he supposed to do lol
Joseph William Namath, nicknamed “Broadway Joe”, is an American former professional football quarterback who played in the American Football League and National Football League for 13 seasons, primarily with the New York Jets.
**Born:** May 31, 1943 (**age 82 years**)
It’d be a one play comeback. Then we’d be attending a funeral.
I want Mark Sanchez back
Found Namath’s burner
I believe in talent but I also believe in attitude. I’m a Jet and Met fan 2 really stuck up teams. The Mets in 1986 were nutters. It was glorious. Now theyre just a bunch of bad, expensive losers. Namath might not have been that good but he won the super bowl! Great attitude helped. Having fun and being loose goes a long way, but yes , maybe not all the way. But maybe, yes.
It’s also just kind of crazy to realize that the last (and obviously only) time we sniffed the Super Bowl:
1. We hadn’t landed on the moon yet
2. The Vietnam War still raging
3. The Vietnam War was its peak (1968-69)
4. There were still major efforts in the Civil Rights movement
5. Woodstock hadn’t happened yet
6. The Beetles’ Abbey Road wasn’t released yet
7. Sharon Tate was still alive
lol.
Give me Revis, Harris, Vilma, Cro and Thomas jones. Maybe a little Jon Abraham
He’s the reason why the Jets are cursed. Until he’s gone, they will continue to suck.
Real ones want Pennington instead
I’d settle for Testaverde
Hope your wife or daughter isn’t a sideline reporter. Who knew Butt Fumble was the best era of my life.
A healthy Chad would have done great things.
He’s at the bar talking about his new hearing aid and Medicare supplement plans.
But if his knees can hold out….why not? 🤷🏼
Dear Jet fans,
Please stop romanticizing the past live in the now. And take control of the things that you can control. like your emotions and fandom, please.
I want him to repay Satan
He sold the jets franchise to the devil for that SB win.
I think he might be a little too old!
Too old too play and has really bad knees!
Ha. He wasnt even good then. Namath gets way to much credit when he was never a good QB
Joe had 173 TD and 220 interceptons in his career. Think about that. He is in the HOF.
Fields hate is out of control. Be over 100 both games he finished. Special teams and other players are at fault. For once QB doesn’t seem like the issue, but I guess that’s what we’re used to blaming
I dunno, would he be that much of an upgrade? He is 82 after all.
I’m actually going to play the 6- …yeah, so do I. :p
He can only sell his soul once.
Real question: were any of you alive when this guy was around?
I sure as hell wasn’t.
Fuck this guy
Fuck that, this guy needs to die. He sold his soul for that guarantee and we’re still paying for it.
I want iguodala
I’d gladly sacrifice any tendons and ligimants needed to get prime Chad Pennington back.
The Darnold disrespect will not stand
Geno!!
Bring back Browning Nagle along with his country album….
Better yet, bring back Ray Lucas but you have to tell him to stop smoking cigarettes before he can suit up again.
Rumor has it that Namath sold the Jets soul to the devil to win that SuperBowl.
