New England Patriots fans rioting after their 24-21 loss to the Oakland Raiders in the 1976 AFC Divisional Playoffs. The Raiders scored the winning TD after a controversial roughing the passer call against New England defensive lineman Ray “Sugar Bear” Hamilton.

  2. They had a legit shot at the super bowl that year. The Steelers were beat up (no Franco Harris, notably), and the 76 Vikings were the weakest of the four Vikings SB teams. All time hose job

  3. Wasn’t the guy who threw the flag from Oakland too? I remember talking to my great uncle and he said everything about this was shady.

    Darryl Stingley would be less than two years later. Raiders fans that know their history tend to be a little more level headed about the tuck rule. They hate it of course, but they also get it.
