Warriors re-signed Jonathan Kuminga

  1. The fact that Kuminga was signed to a 1+1 means the Warriors can trade Kuminga to a team (likely a team that wants to salary dump) for a player who makes in that range.

Thats excellent for the Warriors. It’s not about Kuminga being a threat – you have to think about the next step.

  2. Demands 75 m but only gets 48.5 in return for 2 years.

Wtf was that negotiation period from him? 💩

  3. Wait why do people heat the Warriors? I’m a warriors fan but absolutely love Bron and luka so I tend to lurk here, I also hate Warriors fans but why do ppl hate the team?

  4. Honestly after seeing how Warriors fans talk about players, i feel for Kuminga and want him to do well.

A big % of them act like entitled homebody teenagers who constantly talk about players like they should feel grateful to GSW (+ Steph, and only Steph) and eternally sorry for making money.

Klay Thompson from 2015-16 to 2018-19 was a multiple time All-NBA + All-Star + All-Def player making 16m a year on 3 championship teams. In the 2019 finals, he shot 58.5% from deep on 8 threes a game and was putting up 26/5 @ over 70% TS. Then he has an ACL injury doing everything he can to help the warriors win.

The warriors pay him 38m per year on a five year deal while he’s recovering from injury which is a more than fair price considering his level till the time. After that all hell breaks loose with fans treating Klay like he’s nothing to them every time he has a mediocre game and demanding that he should take a very cheap deal this time because ‘we took care of him when he was injured’. Mavs fans have much more loyalty to Kyrie from 2 years and 1 finals run lmao.

The same thing happens when Draymond’s negotiations come up with the fans outraged at completely reasonable figures like 90m/3Y and saying that Draymond should be grateful that GSW could recognise his value early in his career and take a cheap deal ‘for Steph’.

Now seeing the same thing with Kuminga. Why can’t these people understand that basketball is a dangerous sport and players will look to secure their future financially first and foremost and that has nothing personal to do with how they feel about the game or the locker room and even less with how they feel about fans.

Then you have the weirdos actively rooting against KD doing too well in 2019 because M’Steph FMVP is in danger…

Every fanbase is toxic but GSW fans are toxic in the worst way imo.

  5. Warriors really killed the offseason, based on the limited assets available. They have smart people running in their front office

  6. The Kuminga situation was so boring to me. Only a salary cap enthusiast could love it.

  7. It’s really confusing to me that the Warriors are more hated in here than the Celtics
