MBN, Danielson, Finnie, ASP, and Lombardi are close man. Really interested how next year is gonna play out with all the young talent knocking on the door
MBN and ASP should be on the opening night roster.
I went into this preseason thinking Danielson was probably going to be knocking at the door and instead it’s been MBN, Finnie, ASP, Danielson and Mazur. We might really have something in MBN – he is looking special. The fact that Buchelnikov is on the way too…
Haven’t caught much preseason action but will be back in MI for opening night. Very excited!
Is ASP the best offensive defenseman in the org right now?
The thing I like about Finnie, is even when he hasn’t been producing the last few games, he has been contributing in other ways and has still been noticeable out there. Good sign for a rookie.

Elmer stood out last night. Not much of that poke and hope defense he used to play. He positioned himself well all night, used his size and actually leveraged his body to win puck battles and to protect the puck, and made good decisions when he had the puck. If he plays like that he will have good success as 1LW. If this guy was a half step quicker he would fit so well with Larks and Ray.
Every game I’ve watched MBN in this preseason: “damn is it nice to have an MFer that’s always thinking ‘shoot first'”
Every single comment here is someone being hype about a different prospect. I am not kidding, I think the Wings are quietly turning the corner this preseason. The league is about to find out what the Yzerplan is all about.

Where has Truscott been? He played like 4 games ago and stood out big time to me. I don’t think he’s played since?
Does anyone know what day(s) we are expected to trim our roster? I’ve seen some waiver action but no teams have made mass cuts yet. I think I read Sunday will be a big day for waivers ahead of Monday’s roster lock in. Will we keep the majority of GR guys until then, or are we expected to basically have our roster set ahead of our final preseason game on Saturday?
