NEXT MINNESOTA WILD MOVES AFTER SIGNING KIRILL KAPRIZOV TO MASSIVE EXTENSION! BLL GUERIN IS COOKING

Carrill the thrill. We got to talk about the contract. We’re also going to talk about next moves for the Minnesota Wild this year and maybe even next year. So, if you’re new to the channel, maybe a Wild fan just checking out this channel for the first time, I hope you hit that subscribe button, hit the like, comment down below. But, I mean, this is massive, right? Like, I I know the contract is heavy. We’re not going to deny that. But, uh, just going through the news article here, uh, 17 million per year, 136 million total. Uh, that goes through the 202, uh, 2033 and 2034 season. I can’t believe I’m saying that. Time’s just flying by, but uh the fact that we’re talking about contracts going into the 2030s, yeah, I mean, time’s flying and obviously the cap is rising and and some big money being handed out. So, 17 million per year uh over an 8-year term is the biggest contract in NHL history. Uh Capri off, we know what he can provide, right? I don’t need to tell Wild fans what Capri off can provide. Well over a point per game. Guy that can score 40, 50 goals at his best. Guy that can put 100 points on the board. So, Capri off just needs a team around him. I think this contract makes it a little bit more difficult, but of course the cap going up, uh, there’s some options. So, I do want to go through that a little bit in this video. Like, I think there’s an opportunity to have that conversation right now. I’ve had my opinions on what they should do. I think they should get aggressive now. Like, I’ve seen the best teams win in the Stanley Cup, whether it’s Chicago, LA, Pittsburgh to some capacity, have always had like younger guys built around their veteran players. I think the Wild have some great veteran players right now, but the youth is what could make the difference here. When you talk about Zeve, you talk about Brock Faber, you talk about like Ogen, you talk about your off, you talk about some of these guys that are coming into the picture, like they have that entry level capit, except for Faber, of course, but this is the time that you get at it. And they have a great goalending duo. Like I I think for me, you be aggressive this season. And I know I’ve seen some Wild fans like go, “Hey, let’s just wait till the Capri contract kicks in. Let’s wait till we get off a couple contracts, but why not just get aggressive now?” And I want to go through this hot take right now of adding a guy like of Giddy Malcin because I’ve talked about it. I think Mark Andre Flurry just being in this scenario. He can advocate for Minnesota to guys like maybe they even go after a guy like Leang. In this scenario, I have the ultimate hot take and the Wild and Penguins have a conversation. Yes, Marco Rossy just got signed. Yes, Marco Ross is going to get a legit opportunity to be a top six forward with the Minnesota Wild, be a top two center with Eric, but clearly the Wild have had their doubts about him. He was in in a fourthline situation in the playoffs. Imagine if getting Malcolin, he still has some left in him. I think he still has something left in the tank. Playing next to Capri off for this season and maybe even next. I think if you acquired Malcolin this year, showed Malcolin what it could be like rejuvenating his passion playing next to Capri off and Matt Baldy, I think that would be unreal for Malcolin. Give him two shots for a cup with the Wild. I think the Wild have a couple missing pieces and that’s one of them. Imagine getting Eric Carlson also 50% retained. Also getting a guy like Ricard Raquel who could put up 30 40 goals. I’m cooking guys. I again I think Penguins fans, you want something out of these guys before it’s too late. And if you’re getting Marco Rossy, David Uraichek, and draft capital like this, and the Wild get off contracts like Trenan and Hartman, that’s like seven and a half million off the books for those two guys. And that’s going towards real contributors that are going to put up major point production. I like Hartman’s like edge and I like his style in the playoffs, but you want a guy with that edge that can also score 20 30 goals. And I think uh while Ricard Raquel doesn’t have like a huge edge to his game, I think he can score in the playoffs and score a lot of goals. So, uh, my idea is this, and keep in mind, Zukarelloo is out for like seven, eight weeks. So, I think if they could make a trade for even like a forward and a defense combo, or just go after Malcolin, you could have a scenario where your top six is Capri off, Malcin, Baldi, and then maybe like Erikson, Raquel, Terasenko, something like that. Or even just have a a top Russian line of Malcolm, Capri off, and Terasenko. And then a second line of Baldi, Ericson, and Zukurella is ridiculous. So the Wild have the depth, they have the kind of guys again, Hinestro is very much a placeholder until Zukarella comes back. But like if your fourth line is Johansson, Sturm, and Felino, that’s even great. Um, and then the defense group if you went after a guy like Carlson. So there’s been some buzz around the Wild and Penguins talking. I’ve I’ve heard it, but also seen obviously the flurry stuff. I think Billy Garren would for sure have a conversation with Kyle Dubis in this regard. Uh, especially for a guy like of Giddy Malcolin if he was willing to move. That’s the big part of this is if getting Malcolm willing to move. Uh but as you can see here, Zukarelloo and Broaddin on the injured reserve. So just imagine that defense group and that forward group. I think that would be a cup contender. If you can get a center, if you can get people have been talking about it. If you can get a top center on this Wild team, that is a contender. That is a big-time contender. That’s the one piece they’re missing. Rossi and Erikson up the middle right now is just not good enough. And I think they could do more. Uh just seeing other Wild fans online. Another guy that they’ve been talking about going after is Martin Aes. There’s rumors right now that Martin Aes is not liking his situation in Colorado, which is so ironic because he wasn’t liking his situation in Carolina. Could Marco Rosi be a player that swapped to Colorado now for Martin Nas or could you wait for Martin Nus and UFA? I think Nas is a natural right winger, but he can play center. And it really comes down to what the Wild think. Again, this is not for me. This is from a Wild fan online and similar situation uh to what I’m getting at Wild fans trying to look for options in the offseason and I honestly I don’t really love that. Like focus on this year. I know Capri off signed the extension. You’re looking into next year. Focus on this year. Martin Hes could be possible for this year. I think if Guinea Malcin could be very possible for this year. Uh so keep that in mind guys. I do think the Wild are going to try to get creative here. I don’t know what scenario it is, but I do think go for a trade. Now, the Trenin signing is not looking great. So, if you could combine Trenan and Hartmouth Capid, as I mentioned there, and you really have the real conversation uh with with Rossi. It really depends, right? Rossi is also the X-factor in that too. Do they believe Rossi can still be a top two uh line center? Right. Uh that’s the question mark. But, uh, the big story coming out of Minnesota is Capri off signs an NHL record 8-year deal, 17 million per year. Um, so yeah, thank you guys for watching the video. Give me your thoughts on what you think the Wild should do next. If they should make the big deal to support Capri off for this season and go for a run already or is it in the offseason where you go for that big center? I do think they need to go for a big piece. I love Baldi. His cap hit looks like an absolute steal next to Capri offs right now. Uh, but do you go after the big center is the big question. Thanks everyone. Talk soon. Peace.

  1. Nick Robertson remains a name to watch on the trade front.

Hearing multiple Western Conference teams have shown interest in the Leafs winger, including San Jose from Cam Robinson Content Director and Director of Film Scouting for
    EliteProspects

  2. im sorry but that wild and penguins deal surpasses 0% of happening and hits the negatives. its so bad. but i do agree. wild gotta make a push while kap is in his prime.

  3. From trade rumor sharks to aquire F Nicholas Robertson and RD Philippe Myers and conditional 3rd in 2028 ( if Mario Ferraro resign with leafs then sharks get leafs 2nd in 2028)from Leafs for LD/RD Mario Ferraro at 25% to 50% retaining range and F Prospect Collin Graf and conditional 4th in 2026( if Nicholas Robertson resign with sharks then leafs get better of sharks 2 4th round pick in 2026) if true or not we will see?

  4. Kirill Kaprizov is staying put with the Wild through the 2033-34 NHL season. This season, the Wild will finish last in the Central Division with a 23-49-10 record and miss the playoffs for the 3rd time in 4 years. Within the final 2 years, the Wild's average attendance will drop to 12,388 fans per game, the worst in franchise history. On January 13, 2026, the Wild will trade Matt Boldy and a 2026 3rd-rounder to the Devils for Stefan Noesen, Dawson Mercer, Nico Daws, Seamus Casey, and a 2027 conditional 2nd-rounder. On April 12, 2027, Craig Leipold will sell the Wild to a Quebec City-based group headed by Pierre Karl Peladeau, Guy Laliberte, Gilles Ste-Croix, and Luc Poirier for $1.75 billion, including a relocation fee of $195 million to relocate the Wild to Quebec City for the 2027-28 NHL season, if the Wild agree to break their lease with the City of Saint Paul and Grand Casino Arena, which will expire in 2035, and on April 15, 2027, the NHL Board of Governors will unanimously approve the sale and relocation of the Wild to Quebec City, so after 26 years in Saint Paul, the Wild will relocate to Quebec City to become the 2nd incarnation of the Quebec Nordiques and play at Videotron Centre in the 2027-28 NHL season.

  5. $17 million per yr is way too much to give Kaprizov, he's not even the best player in the NHL, he's being paid the most though which is absolutely ridiculous, Wild Management is crazy
