Indianapolis Colts’ Xavien Howard ABRUPTLY RETIRES
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Xavier Howard has decided to retire from the NFL at age 32. Hello everyone, my name is Zach Hicks, your resident film nerd here at horseshoe huddle.com and over at the locked on Colts podcast. And yeah, Xavian Howard was having a rough go of it to start the season. I think he was Pro Football Focus’s second lowest rated corner in the NFL through a month of the season. Uh and it all accumulated now for him retiring early again at the age of 32. who the Colts signed to a one-year deal at the end of August and unfortunately he’s not going to play out the remainder of that deal for the Colts this season. So for the Colts now their attention pivots over to Mai Blackman and Jonathan Edwards at that outside cornerback spot until Jaylen Jones comes back from his stint on injured reserve. And we’ll see if a trade or a signing is in the cards for this team in the future. But for more on this overall move from the Colts going forward, we’ll we’ll talk about it on the Colts Squad Show later tonight at 9:00 p.m. So, make sure you’re tuning in to that and your Locked on Colts pod podcast Monday through Friday uh daily here uh to talk all about Xavier Howard and the rest of this Colts

He was most likely getting so many death threats that is was best for him to do this
Go get sauce!
He was getting cooked.. just didn’t have it no more and he realized that. Plain and simple
This is actually great news
Hope he's okay wishing him a good retirement.
Dang I know he was getting beat but now we are further in a hole at corner
Better to walk away than get booted out the door.
Colts probably gave him the option to retire or get cut
Thanks X for playing for our Colts even if it was for just a few games. Having a long term vet mentoring our DBs is a good thing.
Got ya bag, and be prosperous brother. Not mad at it!
Someone gotta step up big lol
Here after the Howard retirement. Not gonna lie I really don't feel great about the reasoning behind it he's still a vet
Wish the man a happy retirement, and hes he was a phenomenal football player. No one beats Father Time. Thank you, Xavien!
If he knew he couldn't compete at a high level, why didn't the coaches catch on to it?
