That guy can hit! And to all fields. But can he ever stay healthy?
jesus dodgers bitched us all season
Is this a joke?
A highlight reel for 55 AB, 11 hits, 2 HR 7 RBI ?
Maybe you can put one together for Sean Hjelle’s hitting this year.
I really wanted this guy to succeed, but I’m a bit concerned about his contact ability. I know he was in and out due to injuries and it’s so hard to establish a rhythm when that’s the case, but he has major holes in his swing and was frequently overmatched by fastballs in the zone.
Major power potential, but I hope he can tighten the swing up this off-season. You just can’t succeed in the majors these days if you can’t hit 95+ heaters
Jerar is one of my guys to watch for next year, but including a single off Kike Hernandez in a blowout loss to the Dodgers in this “highlight reel” is certainly a decision.
He was having an amazing spring before that injury, it really derailed him, he hit the ball really well in AAA also. His downside is he still is below average on recognizing offspeed pitches and plate discipline. This seems to be a hard area for our staff to develop players and maybe it’s not trainable, I don’t know.
Those were nice, but I didn’t like seeing the score in the corner of every shot
I’d love to see what he could do over the course of a full season. Having him and Devers in the same lineup could be devastating.
Imagine what could have been if Bob Melvin hadn’t used him in right field the final Friday of spring training. He could have carried that momentum into the regular season like the rest of the team. They should have trade Wade in the offseason when teams had interest in him and used Encarnacion and Flores in 1st base/DH.
Maybe it’s always been like this, but the Dodgers broadcast looked like they’d added a blue filter to it. Everything apart from the blue line so washed out and grey compared to NBCSBA.
