Caleb is elite. That is all.

  1. Targeting past the sticks? No INT? Ummm… Pretty sure he famously launched one vs Detroit. Are we suggesting he wasn’t even targeting a receiver, and that is why it doesn’t show up on this?

  2. Caleb is progressing and it’s great. These posts are so funny. He’s not elite yet lol, hoping he gets there soon. I think by the end of the season his outlook will really be something.

  3. Not a Caleb guy but I’ll admit he is better than last season. Elite? That he is not, sorry. Too many plays are being left on the field

  4. Elite? I don’t know just yet.

Don’t get me wrong, he definitely has the potential to be clutch, and his outright dumb mistakes are minimal, but he just hasn’t been overall consistent enough to take that title.

Still, if he keeps playing like this, the Bears QB issue will hopefully be solved for the next few years

  5. Hopefully he gets there. He’s promising. Elite already would be a stretch of that word.

  6. Any reason why we have to make our end all, be all, latest Caleb assessment after every game. 2 games ago he was a bust, now he’s a sure fire Hall of Famer. This is exhausting. Let’s wait until the end of the year, evaluate the body of work, and go from there. What’s the fucking rush?

  7. He’s playing better than last year and that’s all that matters. I hope the kid can reach 4000 yards.

  8. For for a comment posted less than an hour ago the stats are old. He’s got 927 passing yards. And 8 touchdowns.

  9. Year two under Ben will be insanity. He’s gonna have him under center and making checks like Peyton Manning

  10. Lions fan here that searched your sub 1 time 6 months ago and get recommended it non stop.

I don’t think Caleb is elite yet, but he was a big reason BJ left for Chicago. He shows incredible flashes but needs to work on some fundamentals and little niche things. I hope he doesn’t as a rival though lol

  11. Caleb is a work in progress and the hope is he has the right coach to train him.

He still doesn’t see open receivers that many QBs in the league make routine throws to. And he throws inaccurate passes sometimes.

But he is improving. And he is a good qb. Our offense would look alot worse with other QBs right now.

But people shouldn’t pretend he doesn’t have flaws he still is working on.

  12. Remember after the first two games when this sub was telling us to give up on him? I remember.

  13. For anybody wondering, here are the top 5 in pff past the sticks:
    Joe Burrow 93.5
    Josh Allen 92.0
    Lamar Jackson 91.5
    Caleb Williams 90.5
    Patrick Mahomes 90

  14. Last year the numbers were pretty decent but he looked like he had happy feet and couldn’t hit a deep ball. I was legit worried.

In just a few months a lot of that is showing genuine improvement – where last year he was bailing out and running to survive this year he is much more decisive – he’s hit long and intermediate passes beautifully.

He now looks like a proper NFL QB.

Last year I felt he looked like a top 20 QB despite all the problems. This year there are glimpses that he really might be the guy.
